I will never send my daughters back. I signed them up for a 4 day long camp. They went two days then when I came to pick them up on the second day one of the employees was yelling at a little girl right in front of me then called her a little turd. When I emailed the business about the incident the employee called me to apologize which I appreciated but the owner never contacted me about the refund I requested since I was not sending my daughters back for the rest of the week. It should also be noted that my daughters didn’t want to go back!! They felt uncomfortable. My 7 year old also said she sat in the front seat of the van on a field trip without a booster seat.

I was very impressed with the overall cleanliness and use of space at the gym. Having the new side open really helped to keep the class sizes manageable. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. I highly recommend Rock N Chalk for your gymnastic needs.

Michaela and her crew is amazing! We love everything they have to offer including preschool, gymnastics, boys classes and more. My child was terrified of the bars from another facility and they worked on her confidence. Now bars is her favorite. Thank you for all you do for this community.

I enrolled 3 of my kids for classes at Rock N Chalk in January. We started in the middle of the month and the first class my kids went to went horrible. My 3 and 4 year old were in the same class. My 3 year old was fine the first 5 minutes or so of class and then started hysterically crying. I am not sure if something happened but when I went to get her, the instructor told her she couldn't leave the area. I picked her up to console her and she finally calmed down. The kids then went downstairs to the mat area and my daughter refused to even go near the instructor. When the instructor was out of view, my daughter started trying out the trampoline. I thought it would be good to let her get used to it but the instructor told her if she wasn't going to join the rest of the class, she needed to get off the mat. Then the instructor told me I could go on the mat with her and walk her through but as soon as I got my daughter comfortable enough to start doing some of the circuits, the instructor grabbed her from me and forced her to do them "correctly". Again, my daughter started crying hysterically and refused to finish the class. My oldest son was in a different class in the other part of the gym with my husband. When we finished with our class, we went over to get my oldest and found out he had gotten hurt. I took my kids to the car while my husband went to talk with the instructors to find out what happened but none of them could tell us. There were 3 instructors total and none of them saw him get hurt on the bars. After class, I immediately went home and canceled all classes. I called the gym a few weeks later when I realized they had charged me for half of a month the next month (February) and was told that was their policy. Fine. I understand policy. However, we started classes in the middle of the month and had to pay for the entire month of January. I was told that we could do makeup classes for the classes that were missed. That was not an option as none of my kids wanted to go back after their experience. I then asked to speak with the owner and was told I could send an email. I immediately emailed the email address given asking to speak over the phone with the owner about the issues we had and their payment policy and was sent a very vague response back stating their payment policy. I feel this was a very unprofessional response as I had specifically asked to speak with the owner over the phone. I responded back once again stating I wanted to speak with the owner over the phone and never got a response back. I assumed maybe the business owner might want to know why 3 students had classes abruptly canceled after only going once but apparently that was not a concern, nor was it a concern that a child got hurt with no explanation. We had high hopes for this facility and were immensely disappointed. I would not recommend taking your kids to this facility.

The staff at Rock & Chalk is wonderful and handles the children amazingly well considering the number of kids in some of the classes. To anyone that has had a problem with this place (or any of the teachers) , it's because your helicopter parenting and the way you are over-protecting your child. I've seen kids with discipline issues and the parent is the one who complains or has a problem and it was pathetic but not surprising.
Gymnastics isn't for every kid so keep that in mind if they don't have a good time. (especially these days when parents are lazy in teaching their child)

I enrolled my two children ages 7 and 10 in the summer camp for 2024. On 7-1-24 my son told me he was transported in the passenger van with too many children, so he had to sit on the floor, and not wear a seat belt. He was told to "not tell your parents." Upon asking for more details both my children said this is a normal occurrence to sit on the floor with no seat belt. I asked friends who were also using Rock N Chalk and two of them had similar incidents with their children at the same camp. I reached out to Michaela Simmons the owner for an explanation and full refund. She told me she was "on a plane" at the time and was unaware of any seat belt complaints at that time. Furthermore she said she'd contact me again for my refund information, and has since not returned my phone calls or emails.

Amazing teachers! They work one on one with your child and really help them to succeed! I am so proud of their teachers and the other students for competing and coming as far as they have. I have had 3 of my daughters in this program since 2018 and everyone of them loved the teachers, guest coaches and their team mates. Even though my older one didn’t want to continue once she reached high school, she still supports her younger 2 on the travel teams. My youngest started the program at 4yrs old and with the encouragement of Katrina and Michela, she participated in her first competition with the bronze team at 5yrs old! She is now 8 and on the silver team. Her sister started her first competition season at 9yrs old, and is now 13 and is currently in the gold team and both have qualified for state each competition season. The coaches worked with each and every girl throughout the years and help them advance their skills where they see fit. The girls go into their season knowing what routine they will perform and what skills are needed to be successful. I have always highly recommend this gym to my friends and family. They have carried on the legacy of Smiley and should be proud of how many childrens lives they have changed both physically and emotionally. The bond between the girls and the parents of each of the competitive teams is amazing and each and every year their teams grow with more and more enthusiastic new upcoming and aspiring gymnasts. They teach respect, self discipline, encourage personal growth and confidence.

They show insane amounts of passion and support for ALL of the children. Local people who care about you and your family. My youngest daughter started going to RockNChalk when they first opened. We were struggling to find a good place for her because she is quite the busy thing. We knew on day 1 she found her love. Not only has she progressed, she also has found a second family with her team, Miss Michaela and Miss Katrina. And Hadleigh would like to say “They are the best gym ever!”

We have our 3 oldest girls attend Rock N Chalk. I’ve participated in the buddies class, watched the next class up from that, along with the next class after that as well. I have seen so much improvement with all of my girls. They learn something new all the time and are thrilled to show us their new skills. Our oldest just made the competition team. She’s been attending for a little over a year. That just shows you how dedicated these coaches are to helping the kids reach their goal. My girls are always so excited to go to practice and I have to practically drag them out after it’s done. They LOVE their coaches and the fun that they have even though they have structured practices. I have always felt welcomed by the staff at Rock N Chalk. Michaela has outdone herself as the owner. She makes sure she has the kids best interest first and instills this in her employers. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.

I appreciate anyone who can take the time to make a place for young people to go and work on their athleticism. Rock and Chalk has helped boost so many little ones self esteem and given them a safe place to be themselves with no judgment. The owner Michaela is so passionate and caring and treats each child as if they where her own. I also love how Ms. Katrina one of the teachers there never leaves a child behind and sticks with them to the end. Thank you Rock and Chalk for being a safe place for all these amazing athletes. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND!! I have been bringing my 5 year old daughter to this gym for over a year now and we are so pleased with her progress!! It is such a joy to watch her actually enjoying her class. Our daughter is 3 and put in the 3-5 year old class. She also has a few delays which the teacher, Katrina, was aware of. At her first class when we expressed that our daughter can’t properly express what she is trying to say, the teacher’s response was, “So can’t I.” My child is 3. I asked to have her class changed and was denied. The teacher doesn’t even show the students how to properly do the routines. How can you expect to learn if you aren’t taught properly? I decided to give it another try. But, my daughter is always getting dismissed whether she tries to ask for help or is feeling uncomfortable. Fast forward to her most recent class, she is struggling with the beam and as the other students move on, she rudely tells my 3 year old, “you are doing the beam or you can stand up there for the rest of class.” My child got down a few times and every single time she was rudely told the same. So I pulled her from class and left. Not happy with this establishment. Left a review on their Facebook about my experience and it was removed and I was blocked. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Especially if your kid has a special need.

We transfered my daughter here from another gym after we realized the 1st gym only cared about their "stars" and their money. It was the best decision we ever made. Not only has she excelled here and learned more in 2 weeks then she had in a year at the other gym they have become a second family. I use to do gymnastics here for around 6 years. Billy is a very good Coach and knows what she's talking about. Coming from another gymnastics place where I didn't learn much. I showed a lot of progress and was able to move at a faster pace at Smiley’s
