My son participated in the outdoor climbing camp this summer and loved it! He said it was his favorite camp he has ever done! The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and I knew my son was in excellent hands. I highly recommend Stonetree and this camp for introducing our youth to a unique, fun and challenging sport they can participate in for years to come.

Interesting set of routes- thereβs a range of compact V1-3s, and more than enough to test around with despite the size of the place itself!

This place has been such an important spot for our family of 5 for the past decade. Our kids have grown up learning how to climb here- each taking turns at camps and being on the climbing team. Bob, KJ and Kelsey along with other amazing teachers have all brought excitement, play and fun as they've helped them learn to climb. Each of my kids have had bday parties here. My partner and I have spent chunks of the long Montana winter months being able to still exercise and climb while the littles also are entertained. They've fostered a larger community of climbers in Helena and even brought an exciting climbing competition to town. I can't speak highly enough about what Stonetree brings to our little town. I hope y'all check it out!

Hold selection isn't phenomenal, but the setting, wall angles and friendly community more than makes up for it!!
Grading is quite stiff, so leave your ego at the door if you're coming from a more commercial setting! Still a good selection of beginner friendly climbs.

Took my 8 year old to birthday party here. We had never been here. Wasn't even aware of it's existence to be honest. Was excited to check it out. The kids had so much fun. When it got quiet the staff got involved & suggested games & the kids had a blast. The party room was big & open with ample room & seating for all.

Gym was super fun! One day pass with shoes was only $12. Eric at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. If I could leave a 6 star review I would.

Started coming to Stonetree regularly in September and have come 2x+ a week since. Bob and Megan (owners) are incredibly involved & dedicated to the climbing community, and the Stonetree fam is just all around packed with exceptional humans. My mental and physical health have both significantly improved since joining. Grateful they exist.

I hate giving any climbing gym less than 5 stars because I'm just so thankful that they exist, but I didn't love my experience here unfortunately :/ As a disclaimer, I'm spoiled by big-city gyms and I know it's different in a small town. The problems were very sandbagged (I've heard this is a Montana thing generally, but at Colorado gyms, I climb in the range of V4/5 and there were several V1s that I couldn't do here). There was also a lack of unique/modern holds and volumes, they were pretty basic and old-school. The girl working there was super nice though and they were playing awesome music!

Just recently became a member and have been working out and enjoying the facility!! Huge props to the staff!!! I had been loosing sleep over a V2 and just couldn't figure it out no matter what I tried. The young man working graciously showed me the beta gave me a few pointers and I was able to get it done after a few attempts. Gym is super clean all the time and boulders are creative and challenging.

Great spot for a challenging bouldering session. Bright open space, cool breeze, and friendly staff. Would be nice to see a tension board somewhere in there, but overall itβs great for training.

I signed up with a friend, on a whim, to try the Never Have I Ever Bouldered class and we both loved it! Jerry welcomed us and entertained our questions and repeated requests for demonstrations. The whole experience left us wanting more! We also have now repeatedly attended Tuesday Yoga with Megan and Caleb's Monday night strength class - both have been amazing. I am so grateful for a climbing gym that feels more like a reunion of friends every time I go. Thank you, Stonetree!

We recently did the beginner bouldering class at Stonetree and were instantly hooked. A couple of outdoorsy people, I think we've tried most everything, but bouldering has always been a bit intimidating to me. After our 30 minute class, we were ready to scale the walls with confidence and ease in this super inspired and welcoming environment. Thank you Stonetree!

My granddaughter loved this place. Very relaxed and no pressures. A fabulous learning environment. We are very excited to explore some of the classes. This is an amazing and healthy way for kids to burn off energy, while learning confidence and coordination skills. The couch was comfy for grandma to watch and cheer:)

This gym is small but mighty. Awesome routes full of crimps and jugs for all levels. Staff was super friendly and even gave me some training tips. I went on a weeknight and the place was super quiet - plenty of space for me to boulder without getting in anyone's way. ***Shout-out to whoever names the routes - quality

Our kids, aged 2 and 3, got fabulous indoor exercise, for which we were deeply grateful because outdoor play is limited by the wildfire smoke. Staff and other patrons of all ages were kind. Good music. Great family fun! Our new favorite place.
