I messaged about options for my 3 year old and received a response almost immediately! They set up a trial class for my child to attend the following week. When we arrived for the trial we received a tour and the staff were all so friendly and made myself and my child feel so welcome! My child enjoyed the class and is going to continue with classes at Tanya’s! I was very impressed with all aspects and the communication from staff was incredible!!

The 5 star reviews must have been written by sycophants. I enrolled my 5 year old in dance class, as she started expressing an interest in dancing. So off to Tanya's we went. They allow a free trial class. My daughter really liked the it, and was excited about it. So they hand us a bunch of packets and within this packet, it explicitly stated that dress code is mandatory, must have Bloch this and that, and without it your child will be asked to sit out. Not true. You can just order cheap stuff off of Amazon for 25.00 instead of the $150.00 it costs to buy what was specified. They emphasize that you have to be at the practices, and rehearsals, but apparently you can miss these and still be part of the recital. I watched an instructor scold a 5 year old for not having the correct bows on her tap shoes during a dress fitting, when that should have been taken up with the parent/guardian. They are 5 year olds, yet a girl with ballet slippers with rhinestones goes unnoticed. Inconsistent in their rules. The instructors have no business being around children. They obviously do not have a background in early childhood education and it shows. No classroom management experience, and in fact lack the ability to teach. I watched for 6 months in the observation room, watched my 5 year old be pushed by a 7 year old, I watched another girl kick her, neither adult in the room did anything. Lastly the recital. What a cluster. For 6 months in the studio they practiced in their "spots" then at the rehearsal "they" (the instructors) changed their spot, and no one knew where to go. Was there an adult watching and putting them where they needed? Nope. Instructor told parents at rehearsal, to get their hair slicked back in ponytail, 5 year olds, "to spray their hair with hairspray, and then brush it into a ponytail. They won't like it, it will hurt but their hair will be slick." Seriously? Advocates for abuse. You don't treat children like objects. They have you drop your child off to a back room for the recital, with limited adult supervision. Not even sure what happened in there, but my daughter told me how another girl purposely tried to hurt her wrist, I asked if she was playing. No, she said she was going to hurt her. I asked my daughter if she sought help from an adult, yes, was anything done? No. Great. She has a bruise on her wrist. The list goes on and on. Basically, maybe is was the dance instructor who sucked, but that reflects on Tanya for having these people in her employ. Going to have rules, they are enforced for all. Get instructors who have experience working with 5 year olds, not high schoolers, but young children, don't let kids push and hurt other kids,
and stick to the routine practiced and don't be changing things last minute on 5 year olds.

Never in my life did I think I would find myself writing a review of a dance company. But here I am, because Tanya's has completely changed my view on dance. This is difficult to put into words. My past had been ignorant and close minded. Now that my children have been participating at Tanya's for several years, I can see the raw emotion expressed through movement. I can understand the drive that these people have that makes them do what they do. Getting your children involved in dance is not cheap by any means, but the benefits are far more rewarding than you could imagine.

I am 16 years old and this is my 13th year dancing at Tanya's Dance Company. I also started competing at age 6. Dancing at Tanya's has taught me more than teqnique and dance moves, it taught me confidence, to believe in myself, it gave me friends, something to do to stay out of trouble, manners, how to treat people of all ages, life skills of all sorts, it gave me purpose. This business has pretty much raised me! Being at this studio for so long, I have life long memories and friendships. I grew up here and couldn't recommend a better dance studio to go to for good dance lessons, teachers, people, and life long skills.

My daughter had her first dance class with Tanya' s when she was 3. She's almost 8 now and we couldn't imagine dancing at any other studio. My daughter has danced at Tanya's since she was 3 years old. She's now 12 and dances on the competition team. Tanya and her teachers are amazing and nothing but professional in every way. My daughter has learned so much more than dance at Tanya's. She has learned how to never give up, how to work hard for what she wants and to be gracious, courteous and kind . My children have been dancing at Tanya's for nearly 6 years now. My 2 older girls are on the competition team and my son and youngest daughter take the recreational dance classes. I have sat and watched my kids and the other dancers for many hours a night at least 5 nights a week. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this studio. The teachers are kind and knowledgeable- they are fun and focused with the kids, they push my girls to be great, in the best way possible. The other dancers are friendly and courteous to myself as well as my kids. My daughters have made some amazing friends and all the kids at the studio are very respectful and responsible.
I would recommend this studio to anyone!

I live right behind Tanyas Dance Co in Belgrade.. She allows her teachers to twerk with their teen students playing loud music in a parking lot that is five feet from my bedroom door at 9:30 at night.. Unprofessional, and if that isn't bad enough when I went and asked to keep it down when its late she tried calling the police on me lol!!! So if you want your teen 16 amd pregnant take them to Tanya's
