Have been going to this gym since it was Prairie Life. New ownership has really taken the bull by the horns and started to remodel this place. It is getting better everyday. There is a decent amount of equipment. Free weights, 2 pools (indoor/outdoor), dry sauna, steam room. For the monthly price it really can’t be beat, plus there are three locations one I know for sure is 24 hour access through an app on ur phone.

This gym is fantastic for me. I love that there’s a stair stepper. My favorite is the heated indoor pool. There’s also a hot tub and sauna. There’s plenty of cardio machines. I’m not into lifting but there is a dedicated room. There’s also classes if that’s your speed. The staff is helpful and friendly. I haven’t had a bad workout since I’ve been working out here. Definitely recommend!

This is a super convenient place to get a workout in. Has everything you need and is 24/7. Has a good cardio area, some power racks to work on your compound exercises, cable machines, free weights, and other assisted machines like leg extensions, leg curls, shoulder press, pec fly machine, etc. I can always get a good workout in here. After you’re done, there is a shower room, stand up tanning room, and a place to store your coats and bags.

As most of the amenities that I'm looking for in a gym and the 24-hour access is fantastic. My only thing I wish they would work on is if they had a better changing room set up. I often like to get a run-in before use the gym and there's not really any place for me to set my bag or clothes other than on the bathroom floor. This is in reference Waverly Nebraska.

I love Capital Fitness! The owners (family owned business) are wonderful people! Both the downtown O st and P st locations are great! The weight/equipment rooms are never overcrowded which is nice. They have a fantastic pool and other great amenities such as sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room. The Downtown location is also 24hrs which is nice incase you like to workout at
later times. If you live in the Downtown or Capital beach location then this gym is a great location for you.

Do not go to this gym, unless you want to be charged for a membership even after you ended it. After contacting Capital Athletic Club by phone over 10 times for a rightly deserved refund they could not connect me with the owner, Renee, because the owner wasn’t present & after saying the owner would reach out to me, Renee then stopped responding to calls & texts I left on her personal cellphone about my refund. This has been over 2 months of trying to get a refund. Please take my advice and safe yourself the trouble. They will take your credit card information & charge you extra. Not worth it.

Free equipment is always available, it’s never crowded, and I can always find a space to workout. Trouble is, it always looks like they just had a rush (there are racked weights everywhere, and no towels), you can let them know something needs fixed and they’ll get to it never, if the working equipment is in use you can find another place to workout. The saunas were the only reason I signed up, and after getting athletes foot twice, my doc said the puddles between the bathrooms and the sauna, or the damp carpet in the changing room, is probably the cause. Sandals be damned, i guess. Looks like a cushy job tho, you get your own tv and the chair goes back real nice, probably kinda like being a bartender without the stress of customers, cleaning, or serving. Always has the darkest news on the televisions. Always under repairs… it’s the Lincoln Streets out here.

Been working out at the location for a couple of months now. The facilities are nice. I recently had a miscommunication regarding my membership payment at the gym and one of the employees did not talk to me in the best way possible due to which i had to put a bad review in their name as well. Later, the owner and I had a conversation about the incident and figured out how there was a communication gap between us and apologized as an ethically professional business owner. There can be incidents where there are confusions but accepting the mistakes and rectifying them as soon as possible is the key element to run a successful business and the gym made sure to do that. I appreciate the team at the capital athletic club and would recommend be a member at the club.

This was overall a nice gym. I feel like there was a variety of different equipment. This gym was also walking distance from my home. I do feel like cleanliness was not a huge priority. There was an often occurrence of no clean towels or spray for equipment, and the bathroom was not clean at all or hand soap often when I was there.

The price was raised recently and things remain the same. No air conditioning most days even on the hottest days. Never any music playing just complete silence. Every rag has some sort of stain and are rarely clean. There is three barbells and only one is usable because it's the only one that isn't bent. I would not recommend at this new price point especially with no improvements.

I was told they would wave the initiation fee when I joined during the January special but they charged me for it anyhow. I argued with the owner about this and she was talking in circles so I just gave up. The club is within walking distance of where I live and has 24 hours access so it's a perfect fit for me. The equipment is minimal but they do give you everything you need. For those reasons I give it 3 stars. The downside is they don't maintain it very well, constantly running out of clean towels and disinfectant. The kid who comes in to maintain it is very unfriendly and hostile. They do have a stand up tanning booth but you need to bring your own eyewear.
