Nice facility but the coaches (for the most part) aren't hands on at all. Some of them seem totally disinterested in the job while others are more active. I never got any feedback on what my daughter should be working on and there was never much on the website.

One day I watched my 7 year old was getting frustrated and emotional. She wasn't throwing a tantrum or anything but was stubbornly refusing to attempt something that she was apparently very intimidated by. That's not the coach's fault but again these are young kids we're dealing with here...The coaches very politely told me after the session that they didn't want her to come back. This was the first and only time they've ever spoken to me. Encouraging parents to have their kids quit doesn't sound like good coaching to me.

$114+ for 4 50 minute sessions per month is an awful lot to pay for my kid not to end up learning anything from coaches who don't want to train her or even care about her success within their program. I honestly can't recommend this place to anyone with young kids. My kids self confidence/ self esteem has taken an absolute nose dive.

Works students, Not professional, don't know what to do with children, don't understand and can't explain the technique of exercises. Can't organize children, children fool around and are left to their own devices! No structure of step-by-step training! It is very dangerous to send children to these clubs! Stay away and don't waste your time and money!

I recently took my kids to the open gym at Metro Stars - Papillion and was impressed with the facility and staff. The staff members were spread out, observing attendees to ensure their safety and enjoyment. A special shout out to Troy and Nicole for providing my daughter with some helpful tips on a skill she has been working on. I am excited about taking my kids to the open gym sessions more often. I also learned that they contribute a portion of the earnings from the open gym to metropolitan area non-profits. It is wonderful to see a company giving back to make our hometown a better place.

My only suggestion: Can you please buy more stadium seats upstairs for people to sit on? 5 stadium seats on the bleachers isn't enough. It's too uncomfortable to sit on the bleachers for long without the seats.

Birthday party was a huge success!
The kids enjoyed the floor is lavas game to get things going and it was great to have them have free time! All the kids enjoyed themselves.
We are thankful for the crew to be involved with the kids and keep the fun going.
Only suggestion is to have a crew member remain at the front desk to field where each party is and how to pick up kids at the end.

It would be nice to see the beginner girls coaches give the kids a little more 1:1 attention because I don't always feel like my daughter is advancing her skills to her full potential. Our girls instructor, Lilly Richards is extraordinary. Her patience, expertise and ability to connect with all three of our girls is truly incredible. She is constantly looking for new ways to motivate them and always has fun ideas that challenge them. It is a nice facility. My kids are not on the completion team so it sort of feels like playtime hour vs practicing skills. We left OGA for Metro stars in July (just because it was closer to our house, OGA was awesome!). This winter I asked when their skills get assessed. Nothing had been posted to the parent portal about my kids’ skills. The office told me the coaches should be updating the attendance and skills online after every class and they would talk to their coaches. My daughters was then updated and continues to be about 1-2x/month. My son’s however, has never been updated (7 months since we started). The coaches are really young like highschool age. Some/most don’t have any formal gymnastics background. They are taught how to teach and how to do the moves. Not sure they are helpful in correcting form or even instructing on proper form. Once again, not on the competition team seems to mean low on the priority list. For as much money as I pay them, I guess my expectations were a little high. Also for a while I didn’t even know who my kids’ coaches actually were. They had some staffing issues it seems and there were several weeks when there would be a different person teaching. My son decided next month to take a break from gymnastics because he hasn’t been getting anything out of it. My daughter still goes for now. I will update my review if things get better. As of right now, I would not recommend them.

WiFi is available for those moms and dads who want to do work on their computer or watch a movie on their phone. There is a nice little gymnastics clothing section for those wanting to buy a leotard or gym brand hoodie. Our daughters LOVE Metro Stars. One takes the tumbling and trampoline class and both frequently attend Open Gym on Friday nights. We have also hosted our daughter's birthday party at Metro Stars. The thing I like most is the staff; they are all well trained and make it a fun experience for the kids. At my daughter's birthday party there was one child who was reluctant to participate; the staff didn't give up and eventually he was having a blast with the rest of the group. Even at Open Gym nights, the staff are engaged with the kids; teaching them and making sure everyone is having fun. You will never see them sitting around on their phones or just chatting with each other. We love this place!

Over ten years ago, I used to take my boys (pre-k) to the original Metro Stars location for open gym. We went pretty often, as it was one of their favorite things to do. It was always clean, well staffed and FUN! My oldest even had his 4th birthday party there and we all had a wonderful time. Just this last weekend, my niece had her 7th birthday at the new Papillon location. My boys are now 14 and 12, they played and had a blast! It was like old friends reuniting. My daughter (8) had a great time too. The new facility is beautiful, spacious and CLEAN! I loved the upper seating area to watch them enjoy all of the cool equipment. It was very nostalgic and impressive to see how this business has grown to meet the needs of their community. Well done, Metro Stars.

Coming from out of town moving to Omaha we searched high and low for the best gym. MetroStars is the largest gymnastics facility we’ve been a part of since my little one started at 17 months and yet it is a strong family environment. Clean facility and tons of parking. Plenty of space for gymnasts and parents to be and enjoy practice. They have truly managed any covid restrictions with Grace. Engaging newsletters to parents I really appreciate the effort they put into not just sharing building hours when they communicate. Excellent account management site for your classes. Most importantly the best coaches I’ve seen that really push the girls and boys to be great at their craft.

We came for a team tryout after our prior gym closed. We had just an “ok” experience with the overall tryout. The coaching has gone downhill since the loss of Coach V. We had heard rumblings about this in the local gym community, but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. My daughter had encountered Coach V at prior local meets and really liked him. Boy did Metro Stars make a mistake when they let him go! From our convos with other parents during the tryout, families are dropping like flies from this gym. Current coaching lacks real-world experience at the higher coaching levels, in my opinion. Not worth the outrageous cost (compared to other local gyms) associated with joining and training at Metro Stars. I was also disappointed with what they offered during the COVID pandemic for their team gymnasts, which was similar to the gym we left due to it closing. The families we met seemed nice, which is what allowed me to give 2 stars, rather than another local gym we visited that literally has the rudest parents/community ever. Our daughter had a mostly pleasant experience with the other girls, minus a couple who were quite rude to her and treated her like she didn’t belong. Unfortunately, we selected a different gym for our daughter to transition to and are beyond happy. She was welcomed by every member of the team and our family was welcomed by all the parents. We’ve even met some Metro Stars parents who recently left and shared every bit of our experience in our gym search journey. Should never have let Coach V go - biggest mistake ever.

My two daughters have been a part of the competitive team at Metro Stars LaVista for about 3 1/2 years. We are so thankful to be here! We came from a different gym, and this has been an excellent change for us. I have watched my girls develop not only their gymnastics skills, but also their confidence and character. Metro Stars Lavista is superior to Metro Stars Elkhorn in SO MANY WAYS. If my family wouldn’t have moved out west last year, we would still be at the Lavista location with my daughter thriving, being challenged, improving, and not wanting to give up gymnastics. Don’t get me wrong, the Elkhorn facility is larger and newer, but the community feel and coach engagement we had at the Lavista location isn’t even close to being present at the Elkhorn location. If I didn’t have multiple kids and their activities pulling me in different directions I would definitely drive the distance to the Lavista location in a heartbeat. Thanks for the wonderful experience at the LAVISTA location.

We LOVE Metro Stars! My kids have taken classes there and always enjoyed them. Most recently we decided to schedule our daughter’s birthday party at their LaVista location. The entire process was so streamlined and easy. We were provided the option of sending paper or electronic invitations. The electronic invitations were so easy to send, remind and view RSVPs. The day of the party we were greeted by eager employees who kept asking what they could help me with! They set up our decorations, corralled 22 kids with ease and kept them entertained. I was impressed with how engaged the employees were with my kids. After the party was over they did all of the clean up for us. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend them!

Have been coming here for a few years and consistently see the same teachers so must be a good place to work as well. They have gymnastics clothing available too. My only complaint is that they don't have an adult gymnastics program for me!

The gym is filthy and the instructors look completely aloof. They are mostly high school kids that rarely even help the children. I watched my daughter watch another girl jump on the trampoline for ice 5 minutes while the instructor stared. 5 minutes wasted with zero instruction given. I watch the preschool kids and their parents play in the room while some coaches sit and watch - it’s pathetic we are all paying for this level of uselessness!!!! There are so many kids there it’s rediculius how anyone has space to do a routine much less learn basic gymnastics skills. We are continuing to look for another place and hopefully we will find one soon. I would not recommend this place unless you don’t care about experience and safety. It’s just a bum ch of high schoolers getting paid to teach tumbling! (Minus Coach Troy - if he wasn’t assigned so many kids, he would achieve more...he is probably the greatest asset this place has!)
