Seriously, this is a very nice Planet Fitness!

They've packed the facility with tons of equipment: machines, free weights, cardio, functional training—you name it. Plus, the facility is spotlessly clean.

Quick notes on amenities: There are small day lockers with built-in locks on the main floor. For the main locker rooms, you'll need to bring your own lock and your own shower soap (a simple thing I wish all PFs would fix!).

The Black Card spa is standard with tanning (including the red light/tan hybrid), hydro massage, and regular massage chairs.

But the biggest win and what I was SO EXCITED to find were real squat racks and barbells! This is huge. Hoping more locations get with the program. Maybe we'll see sleds and saunas someday... A person can dream!

Also, friendly staff, Kyle at front desk was very welcoming and helpful.

UPDATE: Since I reviewed over a year ago, the staff has addressed most of these issues. The water fountain was fixed immediately, the management reached out to address my concerns, and the wifi works pretty well (it's a little slow sometimes, but not a big deal). The staff continue to be friendly, and more helpful and attentive. There are still equipment issues with several of the ellipticals, so I just find a machine that works. They did add a lot of equipment recently, and I love the new weights machines! Overall, this is a really nice gym with a variety of weightlifting and exercise equipment!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Great equipment options, easy to check in and get moving. Would be 4-5 stars for sure, but I’ve found the staff is not very helpful when I report a problem with equipment or facilities. The water fountain sometimes pours only hot water, and has done so for months but the staff just says they can’t do anything about it. Same with WiFi connectivity. An elliptical was off balance so it rocked erratically when I tried using it, and instead of fixing it or putting an out of order sign on it, I was told to just use a different machine. They are friendly, but either untrained or unwilling to address issues. I never know if they’re going to talk to a manager or go back to looking at their phones.

It's the worst customer service ever. Zero star if I could. You can't barely hear them on the phone. Probably they can't hear you either, but they don't even care to try. After said "Hello" twice, they straight up hung up on you while you were talking. Tried to call back and they straight up declined your call, and sent it to the auto-answering machine. Apparently they are too good for you and don't need customers. Acting like they don't have time for you?? Well, hope they treat in-person customers better than that. Even if they do, they won't have my business.....EVER

May 2925. Too many mirrors installed. Not all the people like mirrors. We may want to see ourselves a few seconds/minutes in a mirrors but now it is always. Each second, every move, all in the mirror. It is kind of annoying. You turn right, it reflects in the mirror, you turn left, it in the mirror. You walk forward, it is in the mirror. The mirror drives people crazy.

People live around the area must join this. Couldn’t be better place to work out. City government should encourage people to join in the club.

Their personal trainer took their time to audit my workouts and he gave me sage advice. I felty the changes after the first day of the workout change. I was hesitant to ask but he could not have been any nicer and more helpful. That advice will take me a long way and I am very grateful for the kindness.

I really appreciate the affordable basic membership at my gym, which offers a great variety of equipment like weights, TRX bands, and cardio machines.

However, I've noticed that the staff doesn't often greet guests when they arrive. A simple 'hello' or 'welcome' would make a big difference in customer service and brighten everyone's day!

Cheap, in a bad way. They definitely care more about saving pennies vs user experience. No paper towels in restrooms, just very low wall hand dryers that you have to bend too low to use. Most machines are man powered so no tv or music or fun stuff to keep you busy. The fans blow sideways so dont keep you remotly cool. Do NOT get the upgraded membership for the therapy beds because they are NEVER available. And this is just the tip. This gym is built to cater toward cheap no-frills.

Simply the best. The staff is friendly and helpful and always incredibly welcoming. The only drawback? Sometimes lack of open equipment (which isn’t the team or locations fault). I actually don't mind the place it's pretty cool. I think machines need better maintenance? People working and not very friendly. When I first signed up there was a $70 charge $10 a month. I was told there would be an annual fee of $40 a year. Coming to find out they raise the price approximately $12 within that 1 year without notification. I was ready to drop them. But my friend says come on let's keep going. So I'm still there for now. When I call to ask about this the person on the phone was very rude and argumentative. But needless to say my friend and I are still going. For now.

Beware of businesses that won't let you end your membership online, or over the phone. I moved out of state and ended up paying for over a year of unused membership because this location claims to have not received the required in-writing cancellation. Who does business like this? Me están cobrando una cantidad por una supuesta anualidad y me dicen que no cancele la membresia así mismo me están cobrando la mensualidad de diciembre; la membresia si la cancele y lo mismo hice hace 2 años que estuve en Lincoln; si me hubieran dicho que me van a cobrar una anualidad cuando máximo voy a ir un mes (que era mi estancia en Lincoln) mejor busco otro gimnasio no tiene caso pagar anualidad cuando desde incio se que solo voy a estar máximo un mes. Mi hija que vive en Lincoln acaba de ir y le dicen que no cancele (cuando si cancele) no estoy de acuerdo en pagar y que me cobren algo que no adquirí si yo hubiera olvidado cancelar reconocería mi error y pues ya ni modo que me cobren mi molestia es que no fue así si cancele y me están cobrando algo injusto.

They are charging me an amount for a supposed annuity and they tell me not to cancel the membership and they are also charging me for the December monthly payment; I did cancel the membership and I did the same thing 2 years ago when I was in Lincoln; If they had told me that they were going to charge me an annuity when I was going to go for a maximum of one month (which was my stay in Lincoln), I'd better look for another gym. There's no point in paying an annuity when from the beginning I know that I'm only going to be there for a maximum of a month. My daughter who lives in Lincoln just went and they told her not to cancel (when if she did cancel) I do not agree to pay and they will charge me for something that I did not purchase if I had forgotten to cancel I would recognize my mistake and there is no way they will charge me anymore My annoyance is that it was not like that if I canceled and they are charging me something unfair.

Great little gym! They've got all the basics at an amazing price! Like 80% of the machines are treadmills, but they've also got a handful of bikes, four row machines, a dedicated stretching area, and a decent free weight section. Nearly 24/7 hours, at about $15/month (when you factor in the annual fee), it really is quite a bargain and overall a solid little gym!

The female attendant unfortunately delivered a poor experience. Me and my fiance had just started a black club card membership with her as my guest. When we came in we both had the app downloaded but had hit a snag where her app was asking for a keytag so she can use the app to check in. The attendant working at this time said yeah lincoln is weird you're going to have to sign in manually when you come in. I thought to myself ok you definitely just don't know how to fix it but didn't want to say it which is fine but don't misinform me. I will figure out the app myself. But then when we finished the workout I went to ask her if we could do the massage bed so my fiance could try it. I know guests get a one time try on these because I did it before with my mother on a previous planetfitness year contract. She ignored me as she went into the utilities room so I waited outside the door. I could tell she was dreading coming out to speak to me because her face was level with mine but she was looking at the ground angrily and stressed and said you can but your guest can't as she walked by me talking with her back to me to go back behind the counter. I get it that the workplace is stressful but this was so unprofessional and disrespectful. It's one thing if you don't know what you're doing because I understand personally that jobs fail to properly train employees nowadays too. But don't lie to me about facts to get me to drop it and clearly have a bad attitude. Same thing I have had employees say man it's just been a bad day. And I can respect that but in a workplace environment you can't just take it out on a guest trying to deal with you and your issues in a respectful way regardless of how you treat them.

For most of my life I’ve always gone through anytime fitness for my gym needs, when I moved to Lincoln last year I signed up with planet fitness instead because that is the closest gym to my home.

I haven’t started using my membership consistently until recently and I’m happy to say that I’ve found a new gym home at this planet fitness!

Staff are very friendly and welcoming, machines are always clean and there are ample paper towels and cleaners for after using the machines as well. Coming from an anytime fitness that constantly had machines out of order, I’ve yet to see any of the machines here broken or unusable, I look forward to staying here for years to come!

The set up is smaller at this location. I do like the atmosphere. And nobody bothers me and everyone keeps up on the cleaning of the equipment they used.
Lots of young people today, but I'm glad they were there cause getting the habit now is easier than when you hit my age.
Not a fan of the showers not having a shelf for my stuff and there is only 1 mirror in the locker room. The music is not my favorite but that can be avoided by bringing headphones

I have used several different gyms in the Lincoln area and can't say enough good things about this Planet Fitness. The machines they have are nice and they have more than one of most of them so you never have to wait for very long to use the machine that you need. The only downside I can see is that the dumbbells only go to 75 pounds so you aren't able to lift to terribly heavy on some exercises but all in all a fantastic gym.

It is a judgment free zone. But for people that actually want to work out the south one is not for you. It’s full of people who just take up machines to talk on the phone or gossip like it’s coffee time at a donut shop or they are using dumbells where barbells are. Which there are few barbells and no one can use them then. Staff doesn’t care they only leave to change the paper towels.

I have been a member for 2 years I love working out here everyone is accepted you can ask questions and they will explain the machines to you, they have a total body enhancement, tanning beds, and massage beds and chairs which are free if you join the black card, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the equipment, there is also a trainer you can schedule time with if you need abit of guidance in what you should start with great idea if you have specific goals or don't know where to get started on!
