I like working out at this one best but I feel like I’m working out under a spotlight & get anxiety attacks lol wayyy too bright. I live in between the north 27th one and this one, unfortunately the one on north 27th is dirty and there’s always sus people from out of town or homeless in the locker rooms sleeping on the bench, asking to turn your headlights off when you’re sitting in the parking lot or asking for money. I go late at night to avoid people, so I have two options… this one that’s super packed even at night & super bright /anxiety inducing or north 27th which is dirty and has weirdos in the locker room/out front. At least dim the lights a lil 😂

They don’t have huge selection of free weights. Dumb bells only go to 75. And no barbell above 60. But many smith machines. But if you’ve been to one you’ve been to them all. Always clean at this one.

Staff took my full amd cold gallon of water and dumpes it while i was in the restroom. I asked and they said they dumped it and recylced the container. As someone eho reuses my containers and drives to the store out of my way to fill and buy water. That was rediculous. I know exactly who it was and I didnt cause a scene but also they would bother me about coming in after work in work clothes and if i had sandals or this or that always something. Not to mention annual fees and how difficult it is and was to cancel.

Wow. This is a REALLY nice P.F. I mean, really nice. Probably my favorite that I have worked out in thus far. The equipment is laid out in a manner that makes sense and there is a lot of it. But my favorite is all the natural light that flows into the space. SO MANY WINDOWS. With P.F.'s previous strip mall model, a lot of their locations have very little natural light. This one is way better and (IMO) contributes to a way better workout environment. Great stuff!

Absolutely THE WORST customer service. Called to speak with the manager about funds being taken out months after I ended membership was told the manager would call me and here I am 3 months later waiting on a call back. Also checked my bank account and low and behold they drafted AGAIN. This is now the 3rd month where they have drafted my account after I canceled my membership. Do NOT recommend planet fitness in any way! They will steal your money even after you don’t wish to continue with them. Got hung up on tonight 3 TIMES! Then was told that I didn’t need the names of the BOYS working. I called another PF and was told they can’t refuse to give me information. Then he gave me their “names” after he lied to me 5 times. So Brandon, Jamie, and Tyler I really hope they do a real good review of you 3 and decide that this is definitely not the way they do business. Also the manager is not very responsible as they clearly do not care about retaining members. Had this have went a different way I may have actually kept the membership or thought about renewing it. But I am very much good on that! If I could give negative stars I would.

Got a membership and then we moved away. My fiance canceled via phone, was told it was taken care of no worries. Next month or was automatically taken out. He went into the club, was told he can't be refunded, however, he won't get charged again... guess what's waiting to charge him.. so now he's gotta replace the card.
I use to love planet fitness. Had a membership in Omaha and had one of the first 10 memberships in Lincoln. Never again!

*** even though it's 3 $52. Charges that shouldn't have occurred the manager is nice enough to reimburse us $26 and stopped the one hanging. We had purchased 2 black memberships and both needed to be canceled, both under the same card and account.

Great locations everywhere it seems. The black card is allowed a guest every time and the added amenities like tanning.
They have a very large selection of machines for just about every muscle group you can pin point.
Different types of workouts are supported and lots of floor space.
Always very friendly staff and really a low pressure and friendly environment.

We enjoy going 3 times per week and when we travel we always seem to find a location nearby.

Planet Fitness is the best gym in Lincoln if you want to blend in. It is a gym that doesn't have members there to intimidate others as it seems they are all there to work out, not be famous. Plus, Planet fitness has a dress code and policy to make their gyms a "Judgment Free Zone". I have been part of this gym for quite a while and go to two different locations. Both offer a couple machines that I like exclusively at one location or the other.

There are two different levels of membership. The lower tier gets you in at around ten dollars a month plus tax. The higher tier gets you in at around 20 dollars a month plus tax but, you get full access to all of the massage chairs, water massage beds, tanning, and red-light therapy. You also get to bring a friend with you every time you come to the gym for free at the 20'ish dollar level. Your friend won't be able to use the added benefits though.
There is a once a year maintenance fee that will be charged to you as well. Most gyms have this and they will give this information to you up front.

Overall, I love this gym the best and I have been a member at just about every gym in Lincoln. I feel comfortable walking in and leaving. The gym is clean and doesn't smell dirty. The staff always say hello and thank you for coming in. Sometimes, it is just those little things that take a gym from "okay" to wonderful.

Just signed up for the black card membership and I love it! When I was debating on joining or not I came as a guest. The staff was extremely helpful non judgmental just like their motto says. It’s never been super busy when I’ve gone which has only been 3 times. I used the tanning perk can’t wait to use the hydro massage and massage chairs. I can only do cardio now but I’m looking forward to using the other machines. The place is clean and the environment makes it easy to workout.

I’m new to working out and always heard great things about planet fitness and thought I would give it a shot. I’m very anxious about starting and my first time I didn’t try that hard but the second time I got a little more comfortable. Now I go more often because the atmosphere is pleasant and the machines are clean and easy to use and the staff are so nice. I was worried about being looked at and judged but everyone minds their business and sticks to their workouts. It’s made starting to work out and lose weight comfortable for me.

I really love how it's very affordable. The planet fitness on 86th street is even better because they have a small second floor, which feels a little more private. I don't like how open the floor plan is over on the 48th street location. It feels like everyone could be looking at me, but that could be that it escalates my anxiety. They have essential equipment to do full body workouts and a variety at that. Plus, I've never had an issue with any of the employees. They are all really nice and they make sure to keep the machines clean, as does everyone else. It's really just a team effort to sanitize. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a gym membership
