I don’t know what’s going on but multiple pieces of equipment and water refilling stations are out of order, as well as most of the leather on some pads are gone. All of this on top of the construction. Maybe opening a second location in Omaha wasn’t the greatest idea if this one can’t be kept up

i’ve been to many gyms with much higher price tags… The last year I went to charged four times the price I’m paying at VASA and they had no machinery constantly broken. Everything was in bad repair including rust on the machines or holes in the carpet/seat covers for the machines. Always a great experience here

On October 15 at VASA Fitness (14445 W Center Rd, Omaha, NE), I came with my husband, who is a paying member. I told the staff that I wasn’t going to work out, that I would just wait for him as I’ve done before many times. Suddenly, the woman who said she was the general manager, named Chessa, decided to turn this into a personal power trip.
I went to the women’s restroom to use it, minding my own business — and this manager literally ran after me, came inside the restroom, and started banging on the stall door while I was inside using the toilet.
Imagine sitting there, completely vulnerable, and someone from the staff aggressively knocking and yelling at you to leave. That’s what happened to me. I was in shock. I opened the door and said, “Are you serious right now?” But she just repeated that I had to get out. It was degrading, invasive, and completely unprofessional.
Other women nearby saw what happened and looked horrified. I felt exposed, violated, and unsafe in a public place where I should have been treated with basic human decency.
Later, a young male employee came to talk to me, apologized, and was respectful — which proved this wasn’t about rules, it was about this manager’s lack of respect, empathy, and self-control.
This is not just bad customer service. This is harassment and invasion of privacy by someone in a position of power. I’ve already filed official complaints with the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office because no woman should ever have to go through something like this in a public facility.
If you’re a woman reading this — please be careful when visiting this location. The so-called “manager” clearly doesn’t understand boundaries, privacy, or professionalism. This experience left me deeply shaken and disgusted.

This gym is kind of hit or miss each day you go in! The biggest bummer for me is that childcare is not always great. They have a huge TV in the childcare center which seems unnecessary especially because their website they talk all about keeping the kids active, which was a big pull for us. If you take your kids here, it’s much more likely they will just be glued to the TV and not actively watched over. There are two childcare workers we think do a great job but it’s impossible to determine when you’ll get them. I’d love to see them get rid of the TV room and put in more kids active items or replace the broken basketball hoop that was broken months ago and never replaced.

Consistently overcharges and withdraws money from my account. The last time they added $49.99 to the monthly payment, and I've had to call and email for two weeks with no response. They are not giving me my refund for the overcharge, even though I sent them proof. They claimed this is a one time yearly fee, but I’ve been charged this multiple times within the same year. I’ve been getting charged every single month and they refuse to stop taking money out of my account. Do not sign up with vasa, they do not have adequate customer service and there is no way to get refunds when they overcharge you. And believe me, they will continue to keep overcharging a month after month after month. It’s not a one time. Fee of $49.99 every single month on top of your regular monthly fee.

Was going to look into joining this fitness center on sunday evening. Upon arrival i witnessed an elderly man severely beaten by 2 younger (20-25) men right in front of the entrance requiring medical help at the site. Not a safe environment in my opinion. I was told the two were patrons of this gym. Look for a better ,safer gym!!!

Unfortunately there is always an amenity that is broken. Over half of the massage chairs have been broken for a while, the hot tub is often broken, and the steam room goes in and out. Currently, it’s been unavailable for almost a week, and when you ask staff, they don’t have a date that VASA plans to fix the issue. There is also no way to know if your preferred amenities will be there because there isn’t any communication online or in the app for us to check and know. It can be really disappointing when you look forward to something that you pay for and you can’t count on it. I like working out, but the steam room and massage chairs are something I really look forward to in my week.

Fantastic gym with great monthly subscription prices! It's very clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and they have every amenity you could want for $25/mo -- massage chairs, red light therapy, a lap pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, etc.
Update : I've been a member for over a year and this place is sliding into hell. There's been hairy gum stuck to the side of the jacuzzi for well over a week, there aren't enough of each weight and clips for all the benches, there is random damage to the weight equipment, the massage chairs are almost always out of order, etc.
The locker room floors are a straight up hazard, with zero traction. I've watched at least 3 people wipe out on their way back in from the pool/sauna area. The ADA accessible chair lifts are broken. The ADA accessible shower in the women's locker room is half broken and not ADA compliant. Nothing gets fixed despite the nice regular employees doing their best to pass it on.
But when you consider they only get paid $13.50/hour in 2025, of course no one gives enough Fs to do anything or ensure the place is in good condition. If anyone else in the area had a pool for under $175/mo, I would have moved on about 8 months ago.

I’ve been a member at VASA for about 18 months. I really enjoyed it up until recently. They have had ongoing issues with the plumbing since August 17. There has not been a single working restroom for women on MANY occasions. I am told to go to the closest business(QT or McDonald’s was their suggestion). I contacted the company on August 17 about it and still have not received a response. I am very disappointed and have canceled my membership.

I’ve been a loyal VASA member since 2023, but my experience with the personal training program at this Nebraska location was extremely disappointing.
When I met with the trainer who signed me up:
• He suggested a $140/month plan as “the best value.”
• He also offered a $90/month plan as a cheaper option, which I agreed to and he confirmed multiple times.
Only after signing did I discover the contract actually billed $90 every two weeks — double what I agreed to.
I brought this up face-to-face with the trainer, but there was no accountability or attempt to resolve the issue. I also reached out to both corporate and the billing company and was turned away without any solution.
The gym facilities themselves are fine, but the personal training program uses misleading sales practices that can trap members in far higher financial commitments than they expected.
Tip: If you’re approached about training here, don’t rely on verbal assurances — read every detail of the contract carefully before signing.

I go to vasa primarily for their classes and personal training. Zumba us by far my favorite class. I dont like missing any of the classes thats how much fun they are. My work schedule doesn't allow me to attend their evening classes. I get off too late but if there was zumba classes at 9am or even 9:30am I would go every morning before work. May-lissa has a great Caribbean vibe. Alycia has a hip hop vibe and Gulia has the traditional zumba vibe. I love all 3 and hate when any of them are gone. I did experience a sub today and as far as subs go that wasn't any of the main 3 she was GREAT!! Her name is Stephanie. I just love Zumba so much. I sweat and have fun. Great workout.
Studio red is great too! My personal trainer Julia dooley teaches that class. I need to pick up more of her classes. I'm lacking in my arms weight training. Her class is good for that. Cardio too but I get alot of cardio already lol. Vasa let's me do as many classes as I want. Last week I went from studio red to zumba.
Their deep stretch is good too. Oddly enough i get a good workout just from stretching too! But its also so relaxing.

Extremely over crowded. If you like waiting in line just to use some dumbbells then this is the place. And they make it difficult to cancel so they can keep charging you month to month and will not offer any refunds. There is an option to cancel on the app however it does not work as easy as that.
If you try calling the billing department and there are long hold times and they will disconnect you before you speak to anybody.

Leticia has been the perfect fit for my teenage daughters. They meet with her once a week for a workout tailor-made to their individual body's needs to optimize performance out on the field. My daughters play volleyball, softball, lacrosse and flag football and Leticia handcrafts a workout to enhance speed, agility, power, and endurance. We immediately saw an improvement out on the field. Her knowledge and guidance have been invaluable, but she is also attentive to what they need each week and adjusts accordingly. We also are incredibly busy, and are so grateful for her flexibility in adjusting our schedule as games, practices, and tournaments have been added at the last minute. I had looked into other athlete training programs in the area designed to help train athletes looking into playing at the collegiate level in the future and am so glad we chose VASA and were matched with Leticia!

I’ve been going to this gym for about a year now and I love it. It does get really busy, but I go in with alternate lifts in mind and still get good workouts in. This is long overdue and I've been sold since my first visit here. Since then I've been greeted with nothing but the best of the best between their professionalism, knowledge, and just overall great human "beingness" I am delighted that I made the choice to leave another organization for whom I had been with for over 15 years. Studio Red at Vasa takes the guess work out of a 1-hour HIIT class. The coaches are engaging and know how to make it fun!
I’ve been at it for a little over a year now and the coaches help to encourage and modify as needed. Kayla, Julia, and Matthew are good at what they do!! I wish that red was offered during the actual lunch hour and not earlier to make it an option.
Facilities are clean and the price point makes this a steal!

I have been doing personal training with Fauna at Vasa. She is very knowledgeable, uplifting, motivating and fun. She genuinely cares about her clients. If you are looking for a personal trainer I think she’s the best!

Urgent: Unacceptable Harassment of Members and Dehumanizing Body Shaming
I am writing this review with deep concern and extreme disappointment regarding the persistent and unwarranted harassment my friend, Gabe, and our group of dedicated gym-goers have endured at your facility. This ongoing issue has now escalated to an intolerable level, necessitating immediate and decisive action from management.
My friend, Gabe, a physically fit and committed member, regularly works out with me and our circle of friends. We frequently request to train alongside him, and we reciprocate this support. Despite our repeated and clear explanations to your staff that Gabe is not a paid or unregistered trainer—he is simply a friend exercising with friends—your staff continues to accuse him of "training" us.
A particularly baffling aspect of this harassment is the staff's insistence that for Gabe not to be considered a trainer, he must go "rep-for-rep" on each exercise. This is precisely what Gabe always does, without fail. Yet, even with this explicit compliance to their own stated condition, the accusations persist. Today, this utterly baseless harassment reached an unacceptable peak when staff threatened Gabe with a ban from the gym should this "training" supposedly "happen again." This is an egregious abuse of authority and a profound injustice.
Beyond the relentless and unfounded targeting of my friend, this situation has become personally offensive. The staff's consistent insinuation that Gabe must be "training" me implicitly suggests that my physique requires the intensive, structured guidance of a personal trainer. This is not only incredibly rude and demeaning but also feels like a clear instance of body shaming. It is unprofessional and unacceptable for gym staff to make such judgments or implications about a member's appearance or their perceived need for professional training, especially when they are simply engaging in a friendly workout.
This environment created by this staff behavior is actively undermining our ability to enjoy our workouts and benefit from our membership. A gym should be a supportive and inclusive space, not one where members are subjected to unfounded accusations and personally insulting judgments.
We demand an immediate and thorough investigation into these incidents and a clear resolution. Management must address the unprofessional conduct of your staff, ensure that all members are treated with respect, and clarify policies to prevent such harassment and personal offense from recurring. We expect a prompt response and tangible changes to restore a positive and respectful environment for all members.

I just wanted to leave a review to complain that the massage chairs, which are awesome when they work properly, are always broken. Today half were shut down to be fixed, and the one I used was half broken. I am just hoping some management watches these reviews and maybe can chime in about how they’re going to fix it. But I’ve been a member a few months now and it’s always a problem.
Otherwise it’s the best deal for a gym with sauna and massage chairs and a pool. But come on! It’s always frustrating!

The basketball hoop has no rim and VASA refuses to fix it. One of the main reasons I joined was for the court, and now it’s useless. Don’t advertise amenities you can’t maintain. Total letdown.

I was a member from the time this gym opened until a month ago, and it has gone significantly downhill since. Machines are constantly broken, the hot tub also always seemed shut down or filthy as well. I never saw any staff sanitize anything in this gym, just dusting equipment off with a Swiffer. There was a couple times there was urine all over the floor in the women's restroom, and once when the water was not working to wash your hands which I actually called the health department over. It's constantly over crowded, I mean always, no matter when you go, and parking is a nightmare. I really wanted to like this gym because the pricing is reasonable but just could not justify staying. They also did charge me a hidden cancelation fee despite saying they don't.

I'll preface this and say it is not a complaint about the gym or amenities, because I did not get to test them. I went in with the day pass set up on my phone and a picture of my drivers license. The front desk worker immediately seemed bothered by my wanting to use the day pass I set up on my phone, asked for my ID and I said I had it on my phone. Before i even got to show him he said i wouldn't be able to get in. So I went to where im staying, picked up my wallet went back just to be told i couldn't have the day pass free because I'm out of state. This gentleman wasn't willing to work with me on anything or even showed any level of hospitality or customer service. I will never consider a membership with this location.

While I love lifting and enjoy the variety of equipment available, I specifically have enjoyed the classes offered at Vasa! I have MS which luckily hasn’t affected me much in my day-to-day life (yet) but the Deep Stretch and Restore classes especially have regulated and relaxed my nervous system enough that my neurologist noticed it on my last visit. Fitness is more than how heavy you can lift, it’s taking care of your full self and Vasa has helped me find that balance! So glad I switched from my old gym.

I signed up for a membership with VASA and told them I wanted the basic membership. They told me that the first month I can try the premium membership for free. They conveniently forgot to leave out that I need to manually downgrade to the lowest level before the end of the month or I would be charged (TRIPLE) what my membership at basic costs. I tried to dispute it and they refused to offer a refund and said it would cost $25 to downgrade to the basic - which is what I signed up for in the first place. What an absolute joke. They also are wanting to charge me $100 next month for “club fees.” They advertise low prices with hidden fees, an absolute rip off. Don’t come here. I will be cancelling asap.

I’ve been going to this gym since it opened, and it’s frustrating to see how much it’s declined. About 25% of the machines are always broken, and the place is constantly overcrowded—starting as early as 5 AM. It’s nearly impossible to get through a workout without spending a ton of time waiting for equipment. The evenings are even worse—it’s so packed that it’s hard to enjoy the experience at all. It really feels like they keep signing up more and more members without fixing broken machines or addressing the overcrowding. This gym had potential, but it’s just not delivering anymore.

There are pros as well as cons depending on what’s important to the member. I enjoy the variety of fitness options with the classes, the equipment for exercising, the wet and dry saunas, the pool, and even massage chairs.
However, I do not care for the layout of the fitness center. One big open room! It just seems that we’re all in each other’s way. I think the locker room, the saunas, are not accommodative to the membership size. They are always crowded. The whirlpool is always broken. It is so much more effective to place instructions on how the whirlpool works as compared to the cost as well as inconvenience of it not working. People do NOT UNDERSTAND how to turn the jets on. There is a delay or lag between pressing the button and the jets coming on leading patrons to pressing the button over and over and over again.
It’s difficult to benefit from the amenities that you’re paying for when they either 1) don’t work, or 2) overly crowded.

Do not recommend!!! It was always too busy so we cancelled our memberships. I got charged 2 payments after I cancelled. They said it was because our payment date was after their cut off date even though I had cancelled them a month before their cut off date. So really I got charged for 3 payments or $75. I will only recommend against getting a membership here

Predatory when it comes to canceling your membership. First they make it incredibly hard to even be able to cancel then they want you to pay more . I haven’t been in the gym in 243 days . They have collected $148 every month for nothing . (Which I understand was on me) But when life gets hectic and you don’t even have time for yourself and when money gets tight and you try to trim off excess spending. You just shouldn’t have to fight to free yourself of a membership you haven’t used in months. A simple yes sir your membership is cancelled. Would’ve had me coming back in a few months when things make sense for me to. Instead I will never use them or any other gym again. I’m sick of the gimmicks.
