Avoid Anytime Fitness – Elderly Abuse & Horrible Customer Service

If I could give this location zero stars, I absolutely would. My experience with Anytime Fitness has been nothing short of a nightmare, especially when dealing with Matt Merril, the so-called manager. His attitude on the phone was completely dismissive, unprofessional, and outright disrespectful. He made it very clear that he did not care about our concerns and refused to provide any proper customer service.

What’s worse, this gym seems to prey on elderly individuals. My mother was scammed into signing a contract she did not fully understand, and when we attempted to cancel, they made the process as difficult as possible. Instead of honoring their cancellation policy, they demanded unnecessary personal information and imposed ridiculous hoops to jump through, all to avoid allowing us to cancel.

This is beyond just bad service – this is abuse of power. Taking advantage of the elderly and using deceptive tactics to trap people in unfair contracts is not just unethical; it’s despicable. If this situation is not resolved immediately, we will have no choice but to take legal action.

To anyone considering joining Anytime Fitness: STAY AWAY. Do not fall for their misleading sign-up tactics. Do not put yourself or your loved ones in a position to be taken advantage of like this. This business is a complete joke, and their management is even worse.

Shame on you, Anytime Fitness, for allowing this kind of behavior from your staff. Matt Merril should not be in a position of customer service if he refuses to actually serve customers.

I got this membership cuz I travel a lot and workout at odd hours. This gym may not deserve a strong 5 stars but I feel it's worth more than 4 so I'm giving it five anyway. I truly love gym! This in one of the best Anytime Fitness gyms I've ever visited and like I said. I travel a lot. No, it doesn't have showers or pools or a sauna, but it's never been super crowded when I come like other gyms and the owners work extra hard to provide a big variety of great equipment that they maintain VERY well! They also seem to be attentive to members' suggestions and requests. I have 4 gym memberships (Crazy, right?) because some other clubs do offer some unique things that I like, but I come here almost more than any of the others combined!

Small, and bathrooms aren't as nice as other AF locations but this place had a few really nice boutique pieces of machinery especially for shoulders amd chest fly among others. I can tell whoever buys for this location knows exercise ergonomics. I could for sure work out here.

5 strars for personal coach Manny knows how to target my workout to meet my goals and is flexible around my work hours.

This place was an absolute joke... new to Vegas trying to find a gym, nearby. Signed online for a free week trial, was told they open at 10am, I like to workout about 7am, get there door is locked, that was odd, had to be rung in??? walk in for a tour, basically a tiny room cramped with a mish mosh of what looked like used hand me down equipment, jam packed ,, was told the"Free" trial was $10dep $35 charge for a fob to get in...so I asked about the amenities, were none,,,no locker room no showers, no saunas, no nothing, no group workouts, the guy was rude started telling me about homeless people could sneak in and sleep in here, then he asked me if I had an out of state license? how is that relevent? 85% of Vegas is people moving here??? So apparently Im being discriminated because Im out of state, I have to hear about out of state visitors take advantage of the free trial....then they have the audacity to ask for a $62/mo membership w a 2 year contract? I'm sure annual fee, sign up fee? who knows, by now Im getting very turned off, I check the reviews to see people complain how they cant get out of their contracts, everything I hate about gym contracts,....so to sum up , absolutely NO amenities No convenience, No showers, NNo sauna, why would anyone sign up ? all other gyms with full amenities have $9.95/ mo at most $25/mo for all gym access... I have been to state of the art luxury hi end fitness facilities that offer racquetball, full size pools, group exercises, juice bars , recovery rooms, and much more for only $59.95 /mo ...

I wanted to find a gym close to my home that had all the equipment and amenities I needed to be successful at my fitness program.
I love this gym, it's quiet, clean, wonderful staff and easy access 24/7.
I was pleasantly surprised to find out I could get a body fat/lean muscle analysis on a monthly basis. I am interested in gaining lean muscle.
Nick performed a joint assessment and structural analysis along with dietary and body fat testing. What I loved about Nick is his education and understanding regarding self sabotage, which is usually a real problem with people not completing their goals and quitting before succeeding.
Health and fitness is a lifelong marathon, not a sprint and Anytime Fitness on Rainbow Blvd provides all the tools necessary for success.
I have recommended this gym to clients and friends who are looking for success in their programs.

Tried to sign up a few times as it was close by. Gym manager never was there during business hours to show gym when I would stop by. Very poor attitude from a personal trainer who was on-site the first time. Trainer told me to write my contact info and nobody ever reached out, of course. Excellent business practices!

$27 for a day pass. I was told half of that was for a deposit for a fob to come and go for the day. I didn't need the fob as I was going to work out then leave but it was not optional. A week later I noticed there was no return of my deposit for the fob. I was told that it isn't a refundable deposit?
$27 is a LOT to ask for 24 hour access. Especially when you are told part is to borrow the fob.....

If you are in town and just need a gym for a day, don't come here.

Great facility to get a workout in. 24 hour access and security cameras are in place for members who have too come in during later hours. It is currently under new ownership and will be implementing some changes that will create a much better member experience. I signed with this Anytime Fitness after starting my trucking business because I thought I'd have access to a Anytime gym anywhere I'd be located. As it turns out there hasn't been a location anywhere I've been in about 6 months. Therefore I have not been able to use my membership at any location. I do not rent nor do I own a home because I live out of my rig so I am technically homeless. Ive attempted to speak to management about canceling my membership since Sept. I never receive a call back from anyone. I have called them every week since and keep getting the run around. I'm told I'll get a call back and never get a call. I finally received an answer from an employee and he stated they would cancel my membership only if I pay half the contract. It seems they avoid at all cost to fill the needs of their customers. I've been going to gyms for 14 years and this is by far the worst gym and worst customer service I've ever experienced in a gym.

Great Gym, I was a member here for 11 years, then built a gym in my house. The equipment is always clean and in good working order, the management is friendly and the location is convenient... It's always a pain in the ass to cancel a gym membership but Don made it super easy and even saved me a month on the final bill.

Edit: The Anytime Fitness owner called me to explain why the gym has an abnormally high volume of trainers right now. The owner was receptive of my complaint and explained in detail the current situation and ways he is working on it. He seems to genuinely care about his members' concerns and takes his time to explain.

Original Review: An already small gym feels smaller. If you try to go during the day, be prepared to wait for several different weights/machines. Usually about 2-3 trainers at a time taking up 2-3 machines/weight sets at a time.
I understand wanting to do circuit training but it's a douche move to "occupy" multiple things at a time that others may need at a gym that is already very limited in supplies. I used to like this gym because it was usually empty enough to wait a few minutes for what you needed to open. Now, stuff is being "used" for as long as 2 hours. This gym is simply too small with too few supplies to have that many trainers doing circuits. I may look to renew my membership elsewhere.

This gym was fantastic! While visiting Las Vegas I stopped in for a workout without my fob and the staff was friendly and chatted with me while he looked me up. I worked out for a while between cardio, weights and machines and there was plenty of space and equipment to go around.
This location is friendly, clean and everything I have come to expect from Anytime Fitness. I travel 40 mins from my house to visit my preferred Anytime for training despite having a location within a 5 minute drive. Good customer service means a lot and this place has it!

Decent gym but one big problem No were to change! One Guys restroom and 1 girls restroom and the guys restroom has a few stalls but no bench to sit on or to put your bag on it's basically a public restroom setup so as long as you come fully ready and don't need to change you're good to go

Nice gym, nice staff, easy in and out, I can park right in front and be on the treadmill in 60 seconds. The people complaining about cancelling a contract are the typical whiners that try to scam the gym by signing a two year contract, then try to cancel in 3 months. The fee for this gym is very reasonable for what you get. The big gyms are super crowded and you get hit on all the time. These Anytime gyms are just right for me.

See a few people had the same experience as me while trying to cancel membership. Long story short my family and I moved and I had to cancel my gym membership at anytime fitness. I called in and spoke to management (which was the same guy that was there when I first signed up for my membership). He told me everything was taken care of and that my membership was cancelled. 3 months later I get a call from a collections agency stating that I owe over a 100 dollars in gym membership because from their records my membership was never cancelled. I call the gym and the same guy I spoke to which is the only guy that works there states that he never spoke to me nor never remembers having a conversation with me in person either. Hmmmmm then how could I have a membership if I never spoke to you? Just avoid this place, they will lie straight to your face just so they can get a extra few months of payment from you. ALSO when you do try to cancel your membership please make sure you go in and sign the paperwork and KEEP the paperwork in case they try to pull something shady. I got a call from collections AGAIN few months after but this time I had copies of my paperwork and faxed it over to them. Seems pretty odd when a man can lie straight to your face for 100 dollars but it's beyond me. Those of you that think this gym is cheap it is extremely overpriced for what it offers.There are many other gyms that are much better stocked and managed with legitimate corporate where this type of nonsense won't happen for only $10 a month. Just avoid this gym and having to deal with management here for your own benefit.

I only go to this gym because it's close to my house. It has the bare minimum of everything. By that i mean the 1 squat cage is used for the 4 biggest exercises in any regiment. It's used for squats, deadlifts, shoulder presses, and also bench press. Yes thats right, this gym has no bench press. If you need any 10 or 25 lb weights, you are going to be searching. When you report a piece of equipment broken or a safety issue, it will take at least 2 weeks to be repaired. The incline bench was "repaired" but is very sketchy. As far as dues, plan to pay at least 50% more than other gyms. At golds gym i was paying 19.95 a month, and that included all the classes, 24 hour access, tanning, and childcare. This gym is 29.50, tanning would be an additional 20, there are no classes, and no childcare. This gym will meet the bare minimum, if that's what you are looking for. At times you can be waiting a half hour for the squat cage to do one of your core exercises, especially when the crossfit people are taking over 25% of the gym.

If you are a cardio bunny this is the place for you. Cardio machines take up 50% of the real estate, but I have never seen them more than 33% in use. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the bigger gyms like LVAC or Gold's.

Do yourself a favor and avoid Anytime Fitness. Management of your account for payments and access is a nightmare!

For the past 2 months, each month, my access was denied. When I attempt to contact a representative on-site, I'm told they will "figure it out" and return my call later; never has a call been returned to assist me.

All billing matters are funneled through "ABC Financial" who continually charges late fee's for *each* membership (I have 3) even though I made payment. Additionally, I cancelled a membership and 2 weeks later the membership was re-created with a new contract for 12 months!

If you want peace of mind, and a gym that knows how to operate correctly, look elsewhere!
