This was my first CrossFit experience and Soupha and Rayna were great coaches. The atmosphere was relaxed, but the intensity was welcomed if I wanted to bring it. The coaches’ expertise was evident with welcomed, gentle corrections for movements both new and old. I would highly recommend this gym for any fitness level as there are several effort levels available for every workout.

Soupha and Rayna created a welcoming atmosphere, but we’re also able to quickly ascertain my comfort levels and help me push out of the - great gym overall!

Been going to CFI for 13 years and I’ve never had a better, more professional, familial, and well-rounded relationship and experience with the coaches and members. I owe so much credit of the person I am today to the people who’ve helped build me up physically and mentally in this gym. I recommend it to anyone at any level of fitness in their life and ensure that if you bring the effort into the gym, they’ll bring the effort into building the path to your goals!

CFI is a fantastic gym. Very community oriented. Coaching is very intentional and competent. Owners are there every day and are great people. Lots of different classes for different levels of fitness. Great selection of equipment and convenient location.

A very welcoming place for people of all experience and skill levels. If you've never been to a gym in your life or if you're a gym rat you'll feel right at home at CFI.

CFI is an amazing place to challenge yourself with great coaches and a supportive community. I’ve been with CFI for a couple years, and at age 50 am in the best shape of my life! I’ve never lifted weights, and started as a complete newbie to CrossFit. The coaching and camaraderie have pushed me outside my comfort zone in a way that has never felt like pressure. I love the focus on mobility and technique, and getting to workout with people at all stages of life and levels of fitness. If you’re considering starting or getting back into CrossFit, CFI is the best!

I was never an athletic person growing up, and spent most of my 20s and 30s sitting on the couch, drinking beer and playing video games. So when I finally made a change in my life and decided to get fit, I was nervous about finding the right path for me. Should I join a regular gym? Do I need a personal trainer? What kind of work out should I be doing, considering I've never worked out before?

All of those fears disappeared when I discovered CFI. The entire staff is friendly and inclusive, incredibly knowledgeable, and feel more like family than staff. The new facility is great, with plenty of space and equipment, an automated kiosk to get supplements and supplies, and a kids room with video games and TV. There are class times throughout the day, even at lunch time.

There are lots of rumors about Crossfit in general, that it is easy to get injured, that the exercises are unusual, that it is a cult. Nothing could be further from the truth. Crossfit teaches you cross-functional movements, and let's you scale according to your skill level. The coaches have an expert eye on what you can and cannot do, and will never push you beyond your capabilities. Every class is coached, with the workout posted on the board. All you need to decide is how hard you want to push yourself that day.

After only two years of going to CFI, I am stronger than I have ever been, and look better than I did throughout my 20s and 30s. I cannot recommend this gym more, and if you are serious about wanting to make a positive change in your life, this is the place to start.

I've been a regular at crossfit gyms in Tulsa, Oklahoma City (x2), Reno and the SF Bay Area and visited gyms in Malibu and Tokyo, and I can attest that Crossfit Initiative is one of the best. Positive atmosphere, solid training, dedicated members, an area for your kids to play while you work out, and an owner that's constantly pushing to improve the equipment and programming. Love it.
