Honest Review of Nevada Gymnastics – Excellent Service from Tracy, Unpleasant Interaction with Haley

I want to give a sincere shout-out to the owner regarding my recent experience at this location. I came in for a trial class for my son, and I had both an exceptional experience with Tracy, and unfortunately, a very unpleasant one with Haley.

✨ Positive Experience with Tracy:
From the moment I called in, Tracy was incredibly kind, patient, and informative. My son previously attended gymnastics at another location two years ago, and he recently expressed wanting to return. Tracy walked me through everything I needed to know, answered every question with patience, and even helped arrange a free trial class for my son today November 19.
When we arrived, she was warm, approachable, and continued to assist me with the same level of kindness. After the trial, I spoke with his instructor, Sophie, who was also wonderful and explained my son’s goals clearly. I completely agreed with her plan.

Because my son is with his dad for two weeks and won’t return to me until December 5th, I asked to sign him up starting for December classes, since November is almost over and he won’t be able to attend. Tracy was already in the process of helping me enroll him for December, and everything was going smoothly but…

⚠️ Negative Experience with Haley:
While Tracy was helping me, Haley abruptly interrupted, talked over her coworker and me, and told me I would have to pay for November if I wanted to enroll my son starting December. I would have understood if that was the policy—but the issue was how she communicated it. She cut off her coworker, was dismissive, and the tone instantly shifted in a way that left a very negative impression. Before that I approached her to ask about the military discount because Tracy was on the phone, her attitude felt even more unwelcoming, she even did not acknowledge me at all when I walked in. She didn’t greet me, even recognize that I was there. The only time she interacted with me was when I approached her directly—because Tracy was on the phone—and even then, she seemed irritated, unapproachable, and uninterested in helping. She did not seem approachable, her facial expressions were uncomfortable, and overall she gave off the impression that my questions were an inconvenience. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day, but her body language and lack of professionalism made the interaction extremely unpleasant.

📌 My feedback:
Haley may need additional training on communication, professionalism, and respecting coworkers who are already assisting a customer. Interrupting another staff member who’s in the middle of helping someone is not only rude, but also confusing for parents. Customer service matters, especially in a place where children and families are involved.

We started our daughter here when she was 1 year old and absolutely loved the experience at first, especially with Coach Grace. She was patient, engaging, and wonderful with the children. Unfortunately, after Grace reduced her hours due to school, we struggled to find another coach who showed the same level of patience and interaction with our daughter during activities.

It also seems that some coaches lack the compassion and understanding needed when working with very young children who are still learning to manage their emotions and test boundaries. For a program designed for toddlers, I would expect a higher level of patience and developmental awareness from the coaching staff.

Additionally, the program appears to have challenges with class consistency and customer retention. When we tried to continue after Grace’s departure, classes were often very small, sometimes our daughter was the only one present, or there were frequent changes in participants.

Overall, while our initial experience was great, I would not recommend this facility for the Tiny Tots class unless improvements are made in staff training and program consistency.

We have been with gymnastics Nevada for over 3 years and couldn't love it more. We do 2 classes a week and now have our 6 year old son in the summer camp. It's the best! He comes home so happy and worn out, bringing home crafts and fun stories. The staff and coaches there are the nicest people who really take care of our son. Love this place!

My 3 kids have been coming to Gymnastics Nevada Reno since we moved here 6 years ago! My daughter started with the very earliest class they offer for kids + parents, and now she is in the advanced class. Both of my sons also are in the advanced class for boys. Additionally, all 3 kids participate in the tumbling classes weekly. It’s awesome that they have male and female instructors, as well as classes for boys. Classes are small and based on skill once they start in the “big gym”.
All of the coaches are excellent. They are positive, encouraging, and patient. Even when some kids are unruly, coaches redirect and focus the kids. They find a way to keep it fun while teaching all the skills. We have been SO happy with the instruction, results, as well as the family feel we get here. (When our home nearly burned in the Davis Fire, coaches reached out to see if we needed anything).
Additionally, my husband and I are physicians and can totally attest that safety is the top priority of all the coaches here. I watch every class, and we’ve never had a concern.
My kids love coming to Gymnastics Nevada so much. Even though we come twice a week, my kids love coming to the Parents’ Night Out Events they host every few weeks. They have so much fun - especially the Halloween night!
I highly recommend Gymnastics Nevada Reno!

Just wanted to share a frustrating and disappointing experience with this local gymnastics gym that I feel other parents should be aware of.

My daughter attended this gym for years and genuinely loved it. However, I eventually pulled her out due to growing concerns about cleanliness—specifically, a lesion on her foot that resembled a herpes lesion, which I suspected may have been caused by unclean mats. We never made a formal complaint at the time, but the concern stayed with me.

Later, we enrolled our toddler son, who was around two or three at the time. He struggled to stay focused during class—pretty typical for that age—but instead of working with us, the staff was critical and, ultimately, banned him from the entire facility. We were shocked, but again, we let it go.

Now that my daughter is older and in a different phase of her gymnastics journey, she wanted to try the gym again. We thought enough time had passed and that maybe things had changed. We put her on the waitlist—and were surprised to receive a separate email from the manager saying that our entire family is now banned from the gym.

To be clear, we have never had a confrontation with any staff member. Any concerns we had—about hygiene or professionalism—we kept to ourselves. We never caused a scene or made any public complaints. And yet, we’ve now been completely blacklisted.

It’s deeply concerning to see a business treat families this way without clear justification or communication. If this is how they’ve treated us, I can’t help but wonder how many others have been quietly pushed out. I believe this kind of exclusionary and punitive approach is not just unprofessional, it’s harmful.

My son has had many of his birthday parties at this location and they used to be great, but the last one in May 2024 was thoroughly disappointing. I'm sad to say we will no longer be having any parties here, nor will I recommend it to others anymore.
I always pay for an additional 30 minutes so the party is a total of 2 hours. I request 90 mins of gymnastics time and 30 minutes for food and cupcakes. This year no one called a day or two prior to the party to confirm the details. When we showed up for it I requested 90 mins of gym time and 30 mins of celebration time and was told that could not be accommodated because the longest they are allowed to have the kids in the gym area is 75 minutes. I asked when that had changed and was told two years ago. We had a party there in May 2023 and that was not the case then, so I don't know when that changed but it wasn't two years ago.... They did start promptly at 2:30. For the first 30 minutes they had the kids playing some game where they were running around hitting each other with pool noodles. The last 30 minutes they did get to go on the trampoline and through some obstacles. At 3:33 I was given the opportunity to go to the gym floor and take a group photo. After taking some photos I asked if they were going to keep the kids there for the full 75 minutes and was told that time also includes hand washing and because we had 19 kids they apparently needed 10 minutes for hand washing. So really they only got about 60 minutes of gym time with half of that being pool noodle play.
After the kids finished pizza and cupcakes we still had leftover time before the party ended and I didn't have any other activities planned as it usually takes 30 mins for the celebration part. I wasn't planning for 50 minutes. Definitely wouldn't have have paid for the additional time if I knew the kids wouldn't be getting extra gym play time. This used to be a great place and my son loved having his birthday parties here so we're sad this is an option we will no longer be considering.

I recently signed up my 17-month-old boy for classes at Gymnastics Nevada, hoping to provide him with some early socialization and physical activity. Initially, the program seemed promising with its advertised focus on socialization for children from walking age up to 4 years old. However, the reality fell short of expectations.

Despite my son being tall for his age and quite smart, there was very little he could actually do in the class. The activities seemed more suited for older children, and there was a noticeable lack of opportunities for the younger ones to interact and engage. The advertised “socialization” aspect was virtually non-existent, which was disappointing since that was one of the main reasons we joined.

The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly, but the program needs significant improvement to cater to the younger age group as advertised. If you have a very young child, you might want to look elsewhere for a more suitable and engaging environment.

An excellent introduction to gymnastics for my 3-year-old daughter who attends the open gym classes on Saturdays. I’m currently awaiting availability for her to join a regular tots class here—so either they’re limited on space or instructors. Their open gym instructors (mostly teenagers) have been great with the little ones!

Wish there were more options for 5 year olds besides the pre l class. Hardly any coaching going on, just letting them play around. Not worth it.

THE WORST GYM (YOU CAN GET BETTER VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY ELSE WHERE!!!)
My daughter loved coach Stephanie , but are first gym teacher we had that are on Tuesday on are FIRST day was trying to kick my 3 year old daughter out of class and said she needs to go to Rollie Polly (because she does not follow directions, ITS HER FIRST DAY SHES IS SHOWING HER APPRECIATION TO HER FAMILY!) not even giving her a chance.
If you do go choose coach Stephanie!
We will not return after the Halloween incident, I called verifyed with front desk my daughter can come and waited at line at 7pm just to be looked at like I was lieing after I told them I verified earlier with front desk as if not to make them looked liked they messed up and I’m dumb one who messed up in front of every parent SO EMBARRASSED! Poor communication, some what discriminating.
WE WILL NOT RETURN!

My friend and I both enrolled our daughters here but when we arrived the coach was a guy. We had signed our girls up for Dianne's class. And when we met him, he walked up to me and stuck out his hand. I assumed to shake mine so I introduced myself and he just said "ok" and took my daughters paperwork from me. No "hi" or introducing himself. Super rude and awkward. We don't think he has ever had to work with two year olds. The instructions were strict and too much for a 2 year old to grasp and follow. When we left we mentioned possibly needing to change time slots because our girls were too tired that early in the day but we told them we would go home and think about it, only for me to get home and login to my parents portal to see my daughter was unenrolled. You're darn right she is staying unenrolled now. Very unprofessional, unfriendly, uninviting, and just a huge disappointment.

Oh they also got report cards saying they were too shy and didn't listen to instructions... well dude, they're babies. They're literally 2. They also took the liberty of unenrolling my friends daughter as well when I emailed to unenroll mine. Extremely unprofessional.

Trust me! You need to throw your kids party here. We just left and all the parents were thanking me saying this was the best party ever and it’s all because of this amazing staff and facility. We had the whole place to ourselves with 20 kids. The parents got to actually hang out and chat. The instructors took all our kids through all the obstacles. The kids were laughing and playing the whole time. All hanging out with kids they hadn’t met before.

It was affordable, fun and easy. We will definitely recommend to everyone we know.
