One of the best gymnastics school in the area! From the front staff to the coaches, everyone in this facility really cares about the growth of the students who attend this school. My oldest daughter loved it so much, she asked to go twice a week. The coaches are so kind, supportive, and encouraging to the kids. The front staff have helped us several times to try to arrange our kids’ schedule to make it work out the best for us. We absolutely love this school and highly recommend it to anyone thinking of putting their kids in gymnastics!

The makeup policy at this facility is very poor.
If you do not notify them before 0900 they HAVE no choice but to force you to do a makeup on a Saturday. This isn’t feasible when Saturdays don’t work.
Thus- my daughter had a bad day and was exhausted- when I picked her up from school I attempted to force my child to go to her class where she proceeded to scream and cry during the class. I pulled her that day. An organization that services children should have more flexible makeup policies, especially knowing how unpredictable children can be.
Also- there is a couple of young instructors at this facility who look miserable while teaching

If your child actually wants to learn and compete do NOT chose this gym. The β€œcoaches” barely do anything during class. There’s very little instruction or help for the kids. Half of them look like they are still asleep. We pulled our child as soon as she decided she like gymnastics and went to a much better facility that cares about the kids. Beware of SHADY business practices as well when it comes to billing.

Great gym to practice in! Unfortunately if you have not started with them since 6 or seven years old you will not get to compete on teams. Overall a great place to practice on everything other than bars and beam. Team only

The Heroes program at this gym is amazing for preschool aged boys. It was the perfect "launching pad" so to speak for my son to branch out and gain confidence to try other sports. Coach Gio, in particular, is an outstanding first coach for any young kiddo. He's encouraging, fun, and demands respect and age appropriate behavior using a warm demander approach which was very appreciated. My son grew athletically in this program, but also learned how to respect and obey a coach in a competitive environment. He also had a blast at every class and never once complained about attending. We're grateful he had this experience!

This is a well organized large gymnastics center. My almost 2 year old granddaughter is attending a parent and me class. It does get to be very busy in the evening but her class is small and personable. It is teaching her confidence and interaction with other children around the same age.The first class she took was a little ruff but the more classes she attends the better it is getting.

There are several reasons why I’m grateful for Gymnastics Nevada. I will outline three things that I believe, as a parent, is important for gyms and their teams to be successful:
1. Accessibility
2. Availability
3. Amiability

Over the past week, I have been trying to find an accessible gym as my son competes for Westerns (Junior Optionals Nationals is split between two halves: Westerns and Easterns). This is the second time we have been to Reno for this competition.

A week ago, to save costs, I was able to get affordable flights coming four days earlier, along with hooking up with a friend for housing. The only thing we needed to connect the triad was a gym that was accessible to allow my son to practice for four days. Not only was Nevada Gymnastics able to allow him to practice, they welcomed him with open arms. Shout out to both men’s coaches: Anthony and Kainoa. These men are legit and I am thankful for them.

Second, not only was the gym accessible the times they had was great! The slot was 230-630pm from Tuesday through Thursday. My son opted to rest Friday. But this was MORE than enough time for my son to warm up, stretch, and run through his routines.

Third, I CANNOT thank the front desk assistant (I don’t know the title, but I would promote her or give her an employee of the month pay raise) enough. Tina was gracious, she constantly OVER-communicated (which I absolutely love) the schedule, made sure the guy coaches and team would welcome my son, and circled back at least three times to make sure my son was well accommodated. This is first-class care and compassion.

As a parent of a gymnast that has compete since he was three, this is one of the best gyms out there. If you are looking for a good gym, this is it.

Thank you for being accessible, available and ultimately, amiable. These are qualities of a great gym and you guys have it in spades!!

This gymnastics facility needs to re-evaluate its business. Owners don’t seem to care about people leaving. They think their customers are replaceable. There’s a massive lack of communication, and the coach/staff turnaround is very hard to keep up with. I wish I would’ve switched gyms a long time ago like many other teammates.

The two girls who helped my daughter with her girls birthday party were amazing. They were ready, willing and very helpful. I enjoyed watching them work with my grandbabies and their friends. They were safe, fun and a big parting in making a wonderful birthday for my grand daughters. I didn't get their names, please give them a big thanks from me. From Arizona Carr. Thank ypu.

We really like the kids learning gymnastics skills! It is a great way to gain coordination. There is one coach who plays favorites and therefore the other students are not getting skill instruction. We have taken our kids out of the class. We are paying for our kids to be coached and learn the basic skills to advance and they were getting ignored. There is a coach who helps but it is a hit and miss who coaches your kids each class. Hope they figure it out because our kids love gymnastics!

For several months they could not teach my son to do cartwheel. Seriously. I called today to cancel his membership, a rude arguer name Amanda, told me I could only request in person or writing. Now I am cancelling both kids. Talked to me like I owe them for paying them money to do nothing. What a waste. Not a good place if you want your kids to advance or be noticed or cared for.

Having been around Gymnastics for approximately 16 years in the Reno, Sparks area.

Been a former athlete myself, understanding the concept of discipline, this facility in its pre team stage offers some great coaches. HOWEVER ...

Once you get on team. Coaches and Ownership, this is where problems start, Coaches have their issues and Ownership does not take parental concerns to heart.

In an industry where Coaches are there lifeline, this gym having been stripped down to few team members previously when coaches left.. One begins to understand why they don't take parents legitimate concerns, and pretend to sort out the issues, but at the end of the day, Its about the business not the individual athlete.

I left this facility, a few months ago, after the completion of the season, In fact another team member left for similar reasons. We left on good terms, so I thought. My daughter went in and said her goodbyes, cleaned out her locker and although we switched to an owner / operated gym here in town we were looking forward to her banquet. (End of Season Award and Dinner)

A list of athletes that participated are provided to the Head Coach and the coaches of all the different teams, and awards are presented. Some fun Like Diva / showboat and others of excellence pertaining to the season.

My daughter, asked to go, and we attended. By the way we received emails inviting us from the gym, and we responded via e-vite. She took the stage, with her team mates and was not acknowledged / or awarded anything not even a paper certificate. Bear in mind she is 9.

I provided the Owner an opportunity to respond. Ownerships answer was they did not know she was going, followed by a personal attack. My argument is once there, they could have easily have acknowledged her and said the certificate was to follow as they were not expecting her in attendance. This may be a single incident, but none that show the character of the facility more profoundly.

Never having written a bad review about anyone or anything - I think people should know the arrogance behind the ownership, lack of leadership in the head coach and that there team Coaches not only did not acknowledge her on stage but in the building, acting quite immaturely.

Needless to say, my daughter enjoyed her evening with her previous team mates after getting over the fact that she was not awarded anything for her season. At 9 years old she held back her tears on the stage and let them rip when she got back to her seat. Took her several minutes to get over it and learnt a lesson about Adults/ Coaches.

My recommendation, to those seeking a gym, consider this review wisely. There are two other great facilities in Reno/Sparks and South Reno, Where the coaches are owners and the interest in each child is vested!

Good Luck!
