I wanted to try different lvacs in Vegas just for fun. So I ended up here. The outside is well, Vegas. But I was very surprised by how nice the gym was from the inside.

This LVAC made me love gyms again. First of all the crowd is much more well behaved than at other places. Women for once wear some clothes which is a pleasant surprise. Mind you, I was here the day before thanksgiving

The pool is very clean. The sauna is the biggest among the LVACs. For once women actually workout in the woman's only section.

The lighting and decor is very Vegas like. Despite being an old building everything is very clean. I would say, the best overall affordable gym so far in vegas. Considering all the facilities, location, staff, crowd, decor, amenities, etc . The sight of Strat after you come out of the gym is nice.

If you want great food after your workout, there are a plethora of options nearby. Literally buffets

I'm a big fan of Las Vegas athletic clubs. Central is probably not their best location and they used to have a real problem keeping the Jacuzzi hot otherwise I would have given them three stars but they fixed it so I'll give them four

Normally, I would not leave a negative review, but the dismissive demeanor of the young lady at the desk prompted this response. As an out-of-town visitor, I was searching for a gym with dumbbells weighing up to 150 pounds. After contacting several gyms, I called this particular location and inquired about their dumbbell weights. The young lady who answered the phone placed me on hold briefly before confirming that their dumbbells went up to 150 pounds. Satisfied with her response, I ended the call. The following day, I arrived at the gym prepared to work out, only to discover that their dumbbells only went up to 130 pounds. Despite this discrepancy, I proceeded with my workout, as I had already incurred the cost of transportation to and from the gym. Upon departing, I brought this matter to the attention of the front desk staff. Regrettably, the young lady claimed to have no recollection of our previous conversation. Didn’t offer an apology nor offer to refund the fee for working out. Please in the future have your employees have knowledge of what gym equipment you guys have.

On Friday, I went to LVAC Central and I had some complications with my ride back. I was supposed to print out some important documents at a pit stop.

I ducked into the management office and asked for a big favor - a print out of a couple pages.

Matt to the rescue! He happily helped me out and was just a really friendly guy!

It's the employees like him that say "yes" which makes a place so nice!

I generally don’t write reviews but I had to for this gym.

I love the theme and style of the gym and they do have a ton of equipment- that being said this is the dirtiest gym I’ve ever been to. There’s gum stuck to machines, layers of dust, visibly dirty equipment. For how big the weight training side of the gym is there is only 2 paper towel dispensers with a few spray bottles. If there were more around maybe the customers would feel more inclined to wipe the equipment before and after use. I rarely see anyone clean before or after.

Ive been to other LVAC locations and they’re so clean, I’m not sure why this one isn’t held to the same standard.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. Gym equipment is great, they have virtually everything. The spa/sauna/jacuzzi is the icing on the cake, makes recovery and relaxation easy. The cafe has great options and many off menu items like supplement shots if you forget your preworkout at home.

Out of all the LVAC in Las Vegas. This is the only one that has metal plates. All the other location has like plastic fake weights. It may be old, but at least I feel like I’m getting a workout at the end of the day. 10 out of 10. And the staff is super nice, the gym is always clean. I enjoy this gym. The staff is good and cleaning women are on top of it!
However my concern as a woman is the homeless that are allowed to hang right outside the front door. I’m not from Nevada but where I come from street people are NOT allowed to be on private property harassing paying customers.
I understand the area is not nicest or most visually aesthetic but please do something about this.
After what has happened at your other location SAFETY should be a number one concern.
I don’t appreciate walking in and out of gym to my car getting followed and yelled at by vagrants.
Please make use of your private property laws like the casinos do. Also stay vigilant ladies.

Don't trust these gyms!
Its terrible. There is a lot of equipment in disrepair, the pool was closed for ages, and the staff is terrible and rude. Sometimes creeps too. Their contracts are designed to trap you. And if you cant way? They send you to collections! My aunt even moved states and has been sending them evidence and bills, but they still are trying to get money out of her, despite the fact that was one of the very few ways they said you can cancel.

Just don't do it. Save yourself and go anywhere else.

I'm visiting LV and bought a week-long pass for $50. Staff is awesome, very friendly and helpful. Only reason for 3 stars is it doesn't have the equipment I need, commonly found at other gyms. The kettlebells at this location are under lock and key and only used for the in-studio classes. There are no resistance bands. The treadmills looked great but the entire section was down for service. Fine for the week but not a good fit if you utilize the equipment listed above. **Really appreciated a female-only workout area!

I NEVER write reviews. That being said, I’m sitting in the parking lot of this location in shock. I came in considering getting a week pass, as I’m here for short stints here and there. I wanted to check out the gym, and asked if they offer complimentary work outs, they don’t. No problem. The girl at the front took all my info and offered to give me a tour, I said sure. 2 minutes into the tour she tells me to get a week pass and that the membership wouldn’t make sense, I say ok, I’d like to se the machines. She was exasperated by this and says “we have everything” and gestures me back to the front desk to pay. I ask where the bathroom is so I can pee first and she tells me “it’s there but you need to get a pass before you can use it”….
LMAO, I had to double and triple check that she was in fact telling me to pay before I could pee. She was. What an absolute joke of an employee and establishment. Welcome to LVAC!

I moved and cancelled membership 3 years ago and they are still on my credit report with their agencies calling me daily!! Before I joined I read about how they don't let you out of the memberships but I joined anyway. I moved and I canceled. That apparently wasn't enough..I had to send them utilities with my name ect. The cleanliness and hygiene of the facility is poor In the pool area, the floor looks dirty no matter the time of day I go, including the jacuzzi! The layer of grime and grease of all kinds stuck to the edge is horrible. They fill it to the brim but don't clean it! The women's showers are covered in hair in the drains! And the worst part! The cleaning staff is sitting and chatting in the changing room, as if everything were sparkling clean! They should close them for a couple of days and do a thorough cleaning and disinfection of those areas! Pools, jacuzzis, locker rooms, and saunas! Please, we pay for good, clean, and hygienic service.

I visited the juice bar this morning, and the staff were sitting in the back, eating and tossing food between the three of them. I was there to pick up my order, which had been placed 15 minutes earlier. I had to try hard to get their attention, and finally, a female staff member approached me and stated that my order had been made. She then asked a male worker where it was.

He came to the front, and they began arguing over who had “accepted” the order. After some eye-rolling, he told me it would be another 15 minutes—for a smoothie! I didn’t say anything.

Then, he was approached by another customer and immediately began making that person’s order!

Shortly afterward, the two female staff members finally started working on my smoothie. I was livid. Honestly, the staff’s complacency and lack of professionalism is probably a big part of they have a 3.9 rating, one would think that they would strive to do better. Ridiculous

I’ve been going to this gym for 8+ years.. needed to cancel my membership today & everyone I spoke to through customer service was very rude, ROSE especially! They charged me $23 because of their “30 day notice” or whatever she said. It’s a scam. Hopefully I don’t get charged again next month. Glad to be leaving Vegas! Rose, do better. If you’re going to be in customer service, be polite & easy to work with, not rude & eating/smacking your lips while you’re dealing with customers.

After months of struggling financially and discomfort of how this company treats its members. I am finally gone of them. They basically give you a "Discount" on canceling. But they extort you for a chunk of the membership in one lump. It's gross. Don't join this gym. I am letting anyone who asks my experience with this heartless, terrible, and unsafe gym. Drownings they aren't willing to take precaution for, unreasonable contracts with members. Deception, harassment of female members, and so much more.

Staff is misleading to new possible members, some staff are also creepy towards women. Made someone I was going with uncomfortable.
Careful about contracts. If there even a sliver of a chance that something might occur where you can't keep your membership? Let's face it, most people have more than a sliver these days. Well, their contracts trap you except for some extreme situations. Don't let the staff mislead you. Even people who have met these extreme circumstance have complained of them making it difficult or being billed anyway.
Customer Service is terrible. I spent months begging for help getting into my account, and only when I said I wanted to cancel did they respond and help reset the account. They flat out refused to cancel for their neglect, saying the emails got lost. Attempts by staff in person failed.
I couldn't get to my digital card, payment things, schedules, and all the stuff they require you sign in. I tried to go to some classes that canceled or rescheduled, and when I inquired about the issue they were just like, of, you should check the app for info... right...
Some topics they insist you call, which is suspicious to me. Their call staff are rude as hell. Does not exactly ease my phone anxiety.

Be very careful before signing up here. Canceling a membership is a nightmare. You can’t cancel in person at the gym — you’re forced to call their membership service, wait on hold for 30+ minutes, and then when someone finally picks up, they hang up immediately without saying a word. It feels intentional.

If you do manage to get through, they’ll still charge you an extra $15 cancellation fee. The whole process feels like a scam.

The gym is good but not perfect… Anything you forget, you will lose. I forgot my towel and informed them over the phone that I had left it behind. They told me they couldn’t place it in lost and found, which was somewhat strange. They also said I would find it in the same place the next day, but when I returned, it was missing.

Another issue is that the equipment maintenance department seems weak. Many machines need repairs, and I have reported this to management multiple times, but there has been no response. I think the gym’s management is somewhat weak.

Their "no contract membership" policy is a joke and a scam! I had my membership for 2 weeks. Decided to cancel because 1. It's always too busy. 2. can never find parking. 3. The equipments areas is always occupied with guys gawking at your ass, or trying to pick you up.... When I called to cancel the girl who answered was nice until, I told her I needed to cancel my membership. Then the call suddenly dropped. Called back 5xs and no answer. After calling the alternative billing dept number. I was told in order to cancel, I needed to pay for another month PLUS the 49.00 annual fee! It's not worth it. There's better places to workout in the valley! BTW. I will be reporting this to the BBB.

*Unsanitary/Dirty - There is ONE spray bottle and paper towel station, not in your area, but on THE ENTIRE FLOOR. No one ever wipes because it would mean going on a half mile walk.

* Old equipment - There's a lot of equipment but most are extremely old and dated.

* Lack of weights- You have to go around fishing for weights, there just aren't enough.

*Extremely crowded at ALL times - Even at 10-11PM you will catch yourself waiting on machines, it's just no convenient.

All in all : IF you only want to use cardio machines, you're more than set. They have plenty of those.

IF you plan on doing weight training and machines, i would look at other options.

Went in and purchased a one-year membership in December of 2023 (paid the whole year up front). I intentionally asked the sales guy if this membership would automatically renew, because I was not interested in continuing it past the year. I was afraid that it would just keep going and going and going, which is why I opted to pay the year in advance instead of month to month. He said that it would not. I took his word for it.

Jump to December 2024, I got notice that my membership was renewed month-to-month. I went back and checked the contract they email you after you sign up, and he did indeed lie because it said in the contract that it would go month-to-month. I emailed them to cancel and they emailed back saying I had to call. They can email us contracts, but we can't email them apparently.

I just decided to block their transactions. I was beyond pissed at that point, but then they called and said they were going to send it to collections, so I finally called back to cancel. It was for me and a friend. They took our last payments to settle up the account, and we thought we were done with this nightmare.

Until I woke up this morning and they tried to take another $29.00 out of my account that was blocked. Be so for real LVAC. Gyms are just predatory. I will never join another one. Here's my advice - give people an option to cancel online, so they don't have to wait to do it during your business hours even though you're open 24/7. And when you say you're going to do something, honor it. Don't sneak it into the contract. Snakes.

Unable to fully enjoy my membership due to the Raquel lady that works in the kids playground. I don't feel comfortable taking my kid here during the times she works. This is the closest location to me and it's very inconvenient. It would be nice if she worked during the morning instead or if she was moved elsewhere.

This gym has extremely low hygiene standards. No one wipes anything down because the disinfectant station is on the other side of the building. Management made it obvious hygiene is low in their priority list. And the men's restroom has disgusting mold around all the faucets and around the counters. Machines are all in good shape, and people all cool.. I could gloss over the fact no one re racks weights if the gym wasn't a cesspool of germs like strep, influenza, covid, ringworm, fungal infections, etc.

Better than EOS. The gym has a retro 80s vibe. Got a free smoothie for signing up! They got a juice bar and a legit supplement store. Negatives are the music is too loud and the cancellation penalty price is ridiculous and lunacy even if you have a valid excuse like losing your job to COVID.

I would like to know why it is not in our contracts that you have to pay $35 to down grade your gym membership fees? As a consumers and client for over a year this should be well advertised Md not a hidden fee. I was recently told during a phone call to membership services that only the corporate office is aware of these fees and charge customers $35 when they request a downgrade. I paid for a year upfront back in September, and I have been to this gym 10 to 20 times because I don't feel comfortable there. I usually go before work and try to shower there. Accessed the gym twice on weekdays, paid for 2 seperate day day passes, totalling $40, on the 3rd time to be told I need an ID for the same access. Either have all staff enforce your rules or dont have the rule in the first place. As a tourist I walked 25 minutes to use the gym, and as a result of this inconvenience and matter of principle I’m going to take my money elsewhere to a better equipped gym where the staff are consistent at enforcing the management policies. Dont go to LVAC, spend the extra money and go to Torture, Powerhouse or Dragons Lair instead.

Been a member here for a year and the cleanliness and overall care of this place has went downhill. I have found fecal matter on the Men`s shower floor more times than I would like to count, consistently clogged toilets, dust-covered televisions and sanitation station areas left with no paper towel or cleaning solution. Also, employees are quick to yell at you for carrying a bag around the gym but fail to re-rack weights that cover floors, machines, and areas of the gym leaving members to upkeep and search for missing weights on the gym floor during their sets. The Management of this place needs to do a much better job at overseeing the operations of this gym. This retro-feel gym could really be a charm. I wish I could go to the other locations or another gym but for convenience of location...I`m forced to keep my membership here...

WOW doesn't even begin to describe the fifth and conditions of this club. Have to say very friendly and supportive staff at front. Great people!!! Behind them is a bateria infested locker room that is waiting to infect the unsuspecting. How Las Vegas health inspectors have not flagged this place is beyond me. My two white towels were brown when done from touching floors and benches. Dont allow bare anything to touch anything. The condition of showes restrooms etc are an embarrassment. The GM here clearly has NO oversight or simply does not care. Get ill from here, file a law suit. Pictures of the conditions will win a case without going to trial. DISGUSTING 🫣 🤮!!

I wanted to share my latest experience at LVAC- specifically at the one in Henderson Galleria location. I went in because they advertised month to month memberships. I had family from Brazil visiting and they would like to use the gym for the 2 months they were visiting. We went there and spoke to their membership person, I explained that my family was visiting and was leaving in two months, I asked about the $49.99 fee mentioned in the contract, the men (I can’t remember his name) said that as long as I call the corporate office within 30 days of cancelation date I could cancel. When I asked about the $49.99 he said don’t worry because it was not charged until August making us understand that as long as we canceled before that we did not have to pay it. We signed up in June, in July we called to cancel and were met with $64 cancellation fees for each of us. I called to corporate spoke to Daniel (who refused to give his last name), spoke to Patti White who claimed to be a supervisor. They all said that the $49.99 fee could not be waved, for any of my family members who were visiting. I was willing to compromise and stay with the gym because I like the personal trainer. However, after all the conversation with Patti, I got the impression that they encouraged their sales person to push sales and be vague on their answers. I felt the sales person was dishonest and answered the questions vague on purpose to confuse us. He should have said when you cancel you have to pay the membership for 30 days and you have to pay the $49.99 when you cancel. Also they can damage your credit if you do not pay.
The guy totally took advantage of us. Totally dishonest. I cancelled my membership too. I value places that are honest with their clients. LVAC is a disappointment. It was not only for the money, but because we felt tricked, and that the person did not listen to our questions or concerns.Sales people are perfect con artists and they are approach is approved by LVAC corporation. Here is the last energy spent with this company. There are better places to workout. I don’t recommend there.

If you enjoy get blasted by right wing media this is the place to be. The majority of the TVs in the treadmill section all play Fox or newsmax. I asked and emailed multiple times to have a more balanced approach to the news sections and have always been ignored. Asked even to not have any news on the tvs I was once again ignored.

A la fecha no he podido cancelar, 5 meses despues no dejan de llamar para cobrar recargos y meses vencidos no se puede negociar son muy cerrados. I have been going to this LVAC for 8 years. The facility is always clean and the equipment is well maintained. This LVAC does not have the newest equipment but they do take care of what they have. Cables, pads, grips, and other components that wear down are commonly replaced.
The only problem I have with LVAC is their ancient policy of no digital scanning of your membership card. They require you to have a physical card. Many members loose their card or temporarily miss place it. It is just not convenient to carry a physical card. It's just one more thing that you have to worry about. I hope the management gets with the times and either issues scanning on a phone with the option of a card. UPDATE LVAC now has an app with a digital sign in option. No more carrying around a card. Good work LVAC welcome to the 21st century 👏

As a member for 30 years, the LVAC Central has been the most important part of my health regimen. The facility, though dated, is always clean and maintained properly. I've got but one gripe. There are at least a dozen t.v.s in the exercise treadmill area. For a short period of time, there was one t.v. that had MSNBC news, my station of choice....and after a few months it disappeared! I asked why and I got a runaround answer. On my next visit, not only was the single MSNBC station NOT put back on, it was replaced with FOX News. 8 channels for Fox? A couple with CNN? And ZERO for MSNBC?? I'm left wondering if this was done spitefully. All I asked is that fair be fair. Not all of us enjoy FOX and CNN. I know these are divisive times. But, really? To be that spiteful?

These people that work here are criminal, especially Shawn a sales representative at LVAC on Maryland Parkway. I was told by Shawn, before I signed anything, that I would have 2 weeks to decide if I liked the gym then if I didn't i could call in and cancel. Well before the 2 weeks were over I called to cancel and a very rude and disrespectful woman in billing told me that they do not have a 2 week period to try it out and that not only would I have to pay another month but I would then also have to pay for the annual fee of $49.99. I should of read the reviews because clearly this company has a proven track record of scamming people into their "No contract" contracts. For others that have been scammed by this company it is time we come together to sue them for fraudulent practices. I went for the first time on 5/7/24 and tried to cancel with my promised (by Shawn) on 5/20/24 so we will see if they try to continue to charge me illegally. I will sue them.

Horrible place! They are liars that will tell you whatever they can to get you to sign up for a contract. I was told I had 15 days to decide if I wanted to keep attending the gym and pay the $49.99 annual fee. Well the cancellation department just said the people in the gym have no authority to authorize that and that if I cancel I will still be charged their annual fee. Crazy! This gym is a scam!!

Gym is ok , the people at accounting probably never even got a high school diploma . I cancelled my membership, mailed a letter like they asked not once but two times , because I moved out of state for work. They said ok ty will cancel . Now all of a sudden I got something on my credit saying I owe 294.00 !! I switched over to this gym from PF, and I’m glad I did because it’s a better gym for serious trainers. My problem with this gym is that some of the equipment is a little beat up, and the pool area is not the cleanest. I also wish the mid-section area had more to it.
