The gym floor is the messiest and most organized I've ever seen in 30 years of lifting. You could easily have one employee tidy for 15 minutes every hour and dramatically make this place better.

I have never once seen an employee do any cleaning other than sweeping once or twice.

I’m very disappointed with the customer service and management at this gym. I recently tried to bring a guest, and although they were more than willing to sign him up for a full membership on the spot, they refused to allow him in as a guest because he didn’t have a physical copy of his ID.

This policy makes little sense. If someone is trusted enough to become a paying member without presenting a physical ID, it’s unreasonable to deny them entry as a simple guest under the same circumstances. The lack of consistency and logic is frustrating, and it reflects poorly on how customer service and policies are managed.

I hope the gym reevaluates this approach, because experiences like this make it difficult to recommend the facility to others.

Pretty decent gym in a very crowded location. For the most part, the staff just moved their business. I enjoy how there's a bit of everything here for causal goers as well as builders. The even have a juice bar/shop that has a variety of protein shakes, juices, and food- Ramon and the staff are super nice and remembers my name. I paid for the year membership which saves a chunk of dollars on the end. If you can cough up almost 200.00. It gets busy at different times, but you don't wind up quiting a long time for equipment like EōS.

Update: let my membership expire and when I finally came back, they were straight forward and easy to set up again. Profile is the same and the gym has been very well kept. Love this location

Called to confirm once my two year membership ended, that the charges will automatically drop and the guy on the phone said yes. Then they still charged me for months until I noticed and called and they said “I have to call them to stop the monthly membership” this place is slimy with liars or ignorant employees.

this gym does NOT care about your personal safety. today when i was leaving to my car, a motorcycle literally almost hit me, and the driver called me profanities and threatened my life - all on camera. when the cops arrived they told me they spoke to the manager, a black male, who they even said was rude & uncooperative. he had no sympathy or care that my life almost ended today and refused to show the cops the camera. the cops had to apologize to me several times for this managers insanely rude behavior and lack of human compassion or decency. law enforcement advised me to file a report in which a detective would investigate, there would be court proceedings in which LVAC would be required to comply to release the footage. my thing is LVAC did not give a damn about human life, and the cops even told me you'd think they would WANT to investigate so that this member could have his membership terminated for threatening people who were just there to work out. I AM MORTIFIED. i just paid my annual fee & ofc they had zero problems collecting that from me. today LVAC made it clear my life has no value, they only want your money. LADIES.. be careful if you choose this gym.

the maintenance of the equipment is far from being well done, I informed the personal about multiple issues and none of them fixed yet , however some of the equipment was broken over 3 months ago and still in a bad shape
swimming pool is dirty on the bottom and looks like they never clean it there.

beware. watched a colleage get humiliated today. she was with her husband and as he was spotting her on a machine, the manager and staff surrounded them and threatened to kick them out in front of everyone. they assumed he was a trainer and would not own yp to their mistake. as a reminder to lvac staff: this sign is posted. it says to ask people for help when needed for safety reasons. train your staff lvac.

Today while at the gym, I watched the staff and manager absolutely harass a regular and his wife because they assumed he was a trainer, but he was spotting his wife on a machine she was doing a heavier weight on. They were extremely rude and even though the husband and wife kept trying to inform them they were together and he was not a physical trainer, the staff continued to harass them. The manager was rude and refused to give her info to the couple. They were told to leave for breaking policy. I've been going to this gym for years and this couple is there nearly every day since I've been coming here. The way they were treated was absolutely horrendous. We are allowed to work out with friends and family! Very disappointing lvac. Do better!

The gym offers more options to work different muscles than most gyms. MAJOR PROBLEM with this gym, the air conditioning and ventilation is not good.😰 It's warm it's sweaty not much airflow.. I go to P.F. planet fitness for cardio... great constant airflow and excellent air conditioning.. They definitely need to improve.. Las vegas athletic club BETTER VENTILATION.🙏... Options corner fans. Need air movement in the cardio room. Or Ceiling fans..Please adjust the air conditioner needs to be cooler.. Finally.. outside covered area for the motorcycles🤙

What a joke! I would NEVER recommend this club! Kay signed us up didn’t disclose procedure for closing membership. Two weeks of have a membership, moving and they are having me pay close to $200 to have the yearly fee and another month of membership. Patty in customer service a manager said no way we will waive anything.
Would never do or would never recommend anyone doing business with them!

I'm extremely disappointed with this gym. Their cancellation policy is nothing short of a rip-off: charging a $65 fee for not cancelling within a 30-day window is an absolute disgrace for any business. It's clear they are more interested in squeezing money out of people than in providing a quality service.

The sauna deserves its own mention. It barely heats up and has a horrible smell of stale sweat and dirty sneakers. It's obvious that no one is monitoring the cleanliness, and people are sitting there in their clothes and shoes, which is completely unacceptable. After this experience, I would never recommend this club to anyone. Find another place that respects its clients.

Enrolled in the begging of the summer and got the package of the daycare system, which the manager lady is (very rude). I had informed the assistant manager (Anthony) that i will be using it only for the summer and I could downgrade before the fall. They mentioned that i could by contacting. Corporate which i understood and agreed too. Today I called and canceled the subscription, however they were charging a $35 downgrade fee? That they NEVER mentioned. The thing i hate the most is when they don't have integrity and tell you right up front?. Is not the $35 is the way that they never mentioned it. Now I was paying $60. A month for gym and daycare, I was going to downgrade to Premium package for $30, now I am on the basic for $15 and as soon as I switch to "EOS" which newer equipment will be a total loss for LVAC. I understand that mistakes happened so I assumed that management could take away the $35 and address this issue internally, but the fact that they couldn't is crazy. Is like they are doing this on purpose. Not good. Bye LVAC.

Worst kids center. The staff especially Araceli is very rude at the kids center. Did not let me console my kids that were crying because we had to wait for my husband to come check them out. I understand the security policy but there is no customer service or understanding of treating kids well. My kids were very upset that I was separated from them and had had to just sit there and watch them cry. I had to speak to the manager Ms Kay who was very nice and agreed to let me console my kids while we wait. But Araceli did not believe me and still kept me away from them. Worst employee she should not be working with families.

I really liked this gym. I signed up for a two-year contract, paid in full, and received a third year free. During that time, I learned a lot and got into great shape.

But recently, I had a very frustrating experience with their billing department. A few months after my membership ended, I got a vague voicemail simply asking me to call back. When I did, I was routed to billing with no explanation and ended up waiting on hold for over 20 minutes. I had no idea why I was being contacted and started to panic—was my membership auto-renewed? Did I owe money? Was there a miscommunication?

When I finally got someone on the line, they said, “Would you like to bring your account current for the renewal price of $182?” That phrasing made it sound like I was past due or in collections. I repeated, “Bring my account current?” and they backtracked, saying, “Oh sorry, I meant would you like to renew your membership?”

This is a terrible way to handle renewals. The lack of clarity in the voicemail, the long phone wait, and the misleading language caused unnecessary stress. It left me feeling uneasy and frustrated—definitely not the experience I expected after being a loyal member for three years.

Please improve your communication and billing process for retention of customers who are loyal, paying members.

The sales representative named Shawn who did my contract lied after I said I wouldn’t sign up if I couldn’t have 30 days to cancel before being charged the annual fee. He walked into the managers office, then told me I would have 30 days to cancel. Not true, and not what the contract says and of course they wouldn’t do anything at the club, The manager that came out of the same Managers office that the Shawn supposedly got his answer from, suggested I cancel my card and just not pay it because it won’t go to collections… I mentioned doing so would mean I’m cancelling a card attached to my other automatic withdrawals and he said “yeah that’s true.” He didn’t care I was given the wrong info and when I called they had the prepared answer of “we go by what’s in the contract” and you can tell they have to say that a lot due to scam artist sales guys. Free weight area is too small, lots of great machines though. Customer service sucks at the Eastern location. Front desk guys might want to smile from time to time but when leadership sucks, your staff is gonna suck. The attitude of any company is top down, and there’s a bunch of jerks who work at the Eastern location and from reading other reviews, poor customer services is a very common theme recently.

The low reviews are due to ongoing safety issues here. I have talked to multiple night managers and nothing is ever done. There is a women who gets in peoples faces in the locker room starts saying crazy things and makes people feel unsafe. I also found a knife in the women’s gym which I turned in. The fact people are walking around with big knifes is an issue. The manager Edwin when confronted about why he’s not handling things makes excuses. No one should go to a gym and feel unsafe in locker area and nothing is done.

I was a witness to this fellows dilemma and his broken locker. The staff just wanted to take him to their office in order for others not to find out about the robbery. I was so disappointed. A very unsafe place in both locker rooms and the parking.

Please be very careful with your belongings at men locker room. Today, the had broken into two lockers and had stolen money, watch and ….The manager responses was so irresponsible. Two broken locks and they were saying: we are sorry not being able to do anything.
I knew one the person’s that they broke into his locker, a doctor and a gentleman. I told him that he should take action against LVAC for the whole ordeal.

Do not trust. Misleading information.

I initially signed up for a tour and trial at this gym, and Shawn Antonio reached out, stating he would be the one to give me the tour. When I arrived, he gave me a quick walkthrough of the facility and then explained the different membership plans. I was ready to sign up for the lowest-tier membership, which grants access to just one club. However, he told me that the next level up would cost the same at sign-up and advised me to enroll in that plan, then call to downgrade after three weeks.

As we went through the contract, he mentioned that I would be charged another fee later on. He did not initially disclose that there will be an annual fee and I had to ask him what it was. As a salesperson myself, I know how important it is to be upfront about all details so customers never feel misled. I was frustrated but still proceeded with signing up.

During our conversation, I also mentioned that I planned to work out after midnight and was excited about the juice bar. He assured me it would be open until 1 AM. However, a few nights later, I arrived to find the juice bar closed. When I asked the front desk, they informed me that it always closes around 10 PM. This left me working out on an empty stomach when I had expected to grab a protein shake.

I later texted Shawn to address both the misleading information about the juice bar and the lack of transparency about the annual fee. He never responded. This experience felt shady and untrustworthy. I’m not sure if this is a reflection of the company as a whole or just this location, but I will be looking for another gym that values honesty and transparency.

Personally not my preference. Paid for a membership to be able to access all the clubs under this affiliation. First off the steam room wasn’t working. The sauna wasn’t as hot as I am used to either. The set up for the steam room and sauna on the women’s side makes no sense. I’m used to a sauna and steam room having a more relaxing vibe. This was not it at all.

Always something is not working or is closed or is in service.
If they are fixing the pool,that’s 2 months,after they will finish the pool,they will start working in the spa,after the spa is done they will close the sauna. Stupid management.
Is all dirty anywhere, no body is checking the if the Saul roles are followed. No body is washing the sauna ,no body is checking why people in T-shirts after getting out from sauna are going straight into the pool without to take a shower .

I’ve been going to LVAC since i was 15 and although it might seem “dated” it is my favorite gym! I feel like they care about wellbeing and fitness, period. No frills, just a place they try to keep clean and functioning! I have never had issues with my membership and for how large the facility is, it’s so reasonably priced! The reason I wanted to write this review is because recently LVAC had to close down the pools unless there is a lifeguard (mind you, I don’t use the pools, this is just observation from being a member for a long time). I know it caused a lot of members to be upset because the pool is the main source of exercise for many! So rather than just going with it, I noticed LVAC took action and hired life guard relatively quick. Who knows what type of insurance, cost, or effort it took to make it happen, but when I walked in today, the pool was open and there was a life guard. During Covid, I always loved the emails from management about how important exercise is and how they believe the gym should have been open, etc. Now seeing them take action so quick, it just reinstates the fact they take fitness serious for all types of people and they operate trying to make fitness achievable for everyone. Anyways, I just wanted to share that feedback ! It made my heart happy seeing people swimming around again, because who knows if those members were able to exercise while the pools were down! Good job LVAC! ❤️

It's been OVER 2.5 month the pools still have not opened! Rarely they have the hot tub open, but EACH WEEK it's closed at least 2 days. Every time I ask the front desk when their pools opening, they keep saying, "2 weeks...." and that was 5 weeks ago!!! They keep blaming SNHD for closure SO LVAC HIRE LIFEGUARDS if that's what they're asking!!! The facility is decent for the price. I like the indoor running track, and I like that pool for senior citizens and sweaty sauna rats is separate from the lap pool. They also have a small equip. room for women only which is great. But this gym only gets 3 stars from me because of their unbelievably rude staff. Not simply ambivalent, but just blatantly miserable people. I'm convinced it's a requirement to work there- a lack common sense and empathy, but at the very least a piss poor attitude.

Always spend a few days here working out during the Olympia and I always am bummed leaving as my home gym doesn't have 10% of the equipment this place has. Amazing facility. Vertical leg press, tibia machine, donkey calf raise, bilateral plate loaded hip press, the list goes on. Not to mention a smoothie bar for protein shakes that is actually open more than 5 minutes a day (looking at you LA fitness).

Decent gym, not too crowded in the early morning from around 4-730. Fairly good weight selection, you have to get a bit creative if you're used to training on machines, however. Especially for legs, the machines here are lacking, and most of the time are always in use. But there's tons of benches, dumbells, smith machines, a couple squat racks, deadlifting platforms, you name it. If you can't get a good workout here, then you're not trying!

Just joined a couple months ago when my other gym’s pool was shut down bc of Nevada laws but I was assured by the gentleman signing me up that they would not be closing their pools bc that “law problem didn’t apply to them”. Obviously I shouldn’t have believed him but I had high hopes…
I joined mainly for the pool to swim laps and have been loving my membership up until I got an email this week saying they were infact closing their pool and wet areas. Unacceptable and I’m so disappointed. I hope they get it resolved soon or I’ll be canceling my membership

My husband and I have been a member of LVAC for some years. We are impressed with the amount of equipment available as well. We were pleasantly surprised recently that they participate with “renew fitness”, which is a benefit of United Healthcare for free memberships. We signed up with Esau at the Green Valley location. He was extremely knowledgeable of how to sign us up and treated us with such professionalism and respect. He is very personable and friendly. We understand why he is in the position he is in and believe he is a great asset for LVAC. So, if you decide to sign up for any membership, ask for Esau! By the way, LVAC has many other amenities that we enjoy.

They enjoy allowing a client to float around for nearly 20 minutes and die because no one did their job and watched the cameras in the pool area.

Also they apparently put me on a a guarantor on my 41 year old boyfriend’s account claiming I owe them for it. Why would a fully grown adult with a full time job need a guarantor on a gym membership? They will never get a dime from me.

You may want to try it first before signing. Music with ads is obnoxiously loud. Even your fancy expensive noise canceling headphones may not be able to filter it out.

Edit #2: If you made the mistake of having subscribed into membership and want to cancel you have to pay remaining dues in full or it will go into collection
Edit #3 (May 2024): They fixed the volume in the cardio area a few weeks ago. My headphones now manage to reasonably filter it out. Will keep the star though they don't try to crank the volume up again.
Edit #4 (July 2024): They couldn't help it... Cranked up volume again. Was nice while it lasted.

A very decent gym for sure, but even when it's slow it's impossible to get a routine done. There are WAY to many people that come here. The price is right I guess though.

Its prime was early 2000’s based on the machines and decor.
Not too busy during early and mid-morning hours. I only used weight and machines but there were plenty of cardio machines and and outer track to walk/run.
Day passes are $20 or 3 days for $50.

Love this place. However, occasionally someone comes in and breaks into multiple lockers at once and steals wallets. Happened to me at 930am today. Use a key lock only. And use one of those circular pad locks like u would use for a storage unit. I messed up and used a cheap combo lock. As did others……

Brianna was so nice and helpful with helping me with my one day pass and then setting up a membership. The club is fairly busy but I did not have trouble getting on my needed machines. The club was very clean and every employee was friendly. I wish the dry sauna was hotter but the steam room was perfect. I went in with the intention of trying out other gyms, but there was no need. I was very happy and signed up by the time I left. I enjoyed my free smoothie and signed up for a free visit with a trainer to see if that is a fit for me. One thing, my old gym had lockers with codes so I was slightly unprepared. At LVAC you need to bring your own lock or quarters to use one with a key. Very happy overall.

Two weeks ago I was at this LVAC location and used the assault bike for 30 min. I had my keys, phone, wallet on the compartment that is built into the assault bike. Normally I place my items in the locker but I had forgotten my lock this day and was forced to carry my items.

When I left LVAC I realized I didn’t have my wallet. I accidentally left it behind in assault bike. I called LVAC and asked if someone can go grab my wallet and I was told No. I also asked if someone had turned it in and I was told “we can’t give out personal information”. I proceeded to speak with a manager.

When I spoke with the manager I asked if she can go check for my wallet she said “no”. I also asked her if anyone turned in a wallet and she said “I can’t give you that information it’s against our policy”. I told the manager, “I understand you have policies in place but this is my wallet and it has all my cards and my id and I’m currently driving to work without a license. Can you please check for me as I’m almost to work and i can’t make it back to check myself”. Manager says “I’m sorry that’s our policy and I can’t give that information out”. So I told her, “well if you went out to eat and you left the restaurant and later realized you didn’t have your wallet, wouldn’t you want to call the restaurant to see if they have your wallet?” The manager said, “no I wouldn’t do that”. Which I responded with, “I highly doubt you wouldn’t do such thing. But I hope that if someone turns in my wallet and you have it that you can let me know because that is good karma that would come back”. I gave the manager my contact info and never heard from her.

I went back to LVAC two days in a row just to see if someone turned in my wallet with no luck. Two weeks pass and I finally went back to LVAC to work out and asked if someone turned in my wallet and they did!!

All my belongings were there. Even my cash.

With that said, LVAC had my wallet for two weeks. My ID was in there. Why didn’t LVAC grab my ID to check my membership and give me a call to let me know that someone turned in my wallet?

That goes to show you that LVAC doesn’t have good customer service and it’s very disappointing.

I’m rating this location two stars because the amenities and cleanliness is superb! However it lacks customer service. And coming from luxury retail, it customer service is key nowadays.

As a fitness enthusiast and gym connoisseur… LVAC does not disappoint! This two story facility is AMAZING! Indoor pool, spas, dry & steam saunas (both co-ed and female only located in the locker room). Female only gym located downstairs near the small juice bar/cafe.

Upstairs is a full gym, with free weights, easily identifiable sectioned machine areas, handball courts, plenty of cardio equipment AND a track that encompasses the entire building (7 times around = 1 mi)

They have affordable prices and several locations to visit. They offer great membership packages and incentives, I’m very impressed and pleased since joining.

I don’t know how some people say it’s “Clean”. It is always smelly in the free weights section. Everytime I use the equipment, the bench smells like pee or sweat.
I have had some good interactions with some of the staff but some of the staff seem like they don’t want to be there.
I cancelled my account a week after starting because of all the cons. I got metal shavings in my hand and they would not work with me on my cancelation. From signing up to canceling, this has been the Worst gym experience.

It's very disappointing compared to the location by the hospital. The paint and finishes are super outdated, the cardio equipment was older, and it was a lot smaller in comparison. It's a job that will get the job done and it was clean, it just didn't wow me.

So I forgot my gym card and had a picture of it on my wallet.. I pulled the picture of my gym card on my phone, handed it to clerk and it scanned. She then proceeded to say “you have to bring you card to scan” I’m like why? If it worked perfectly. You have a picture of my ugly face in your computer you can tell it’s me.. they just wanting me to spend $12 for another card. EOS and 24 hour fitness have QR codes on their app that you scan you don’t have to worry about brining a physical card.. talk about not keeping up with technology..

It's a massive and bustling gym, crowded most days and hours. With weights for both men and women, pools, saunas, and classes, it's well-equipped. Racquetball courts, child play room, running track, locker room and Cafe. If you prefer a less crowded workout space, this might not be your ideal spot. The equipment is excellent, and the staff is fantastic, but personally, it's not my preferred place.

Had an unfortunate experience with an employee/trainer Jessie Fields. I was working out and using the mirror to check my form. He comes with a client to use a machine and stands directly in front of me. I asked him to please move over about a foot, he refused and rudely told me to go use another mirror. Apparently he and his client had a greater right to the area? I'm not someone intimidated at all, but gyms have a notorious reputation as being intimidating places, and I can only imagine how someone else would feel after such an interaction. Probably discouraged about ever wanting to work out again, which is a real shame. This is a person who is representing LVAC who behaved this way, and I was told when I filed a formal complaint, mine was not the first complaint about this trainer. I sincerely hope action will be taken because LVAC's policy specifically talks about treating all members with respect, and this trainer did anything but.

This is an impressive two-floor gym. There are plenty of equipments in great condition to choose from. I love the layout especially the second floor cardio area with machines equipped with TV monitors, providing a form of entertainment while working out. The floor is surrounded by an indoor running track. There's also a big area for stretching and warming up. Here's the caveat: there's no visible nearby restroom in that floor.

Pretty horrible. Towels are hand towels... You cannot cover yourself with them. And they ration them. No one will give you change but lockers require coins. It's all just crowded and rude and cheap. Jacuzzi has too much chlorine. No good jets. Showers don't have curtains.

Been going there for years it's great but recently the hot tub has been down for a month and it's so frustrating having to drive to another location. I understand maintenance happens and I'm sure this issue is probably bigger than normal since they usually fix issues in a timely manner . I'll be happy to give a five star review if and when they fix it but this long its crazy. I changed my review back to 5 stars . They fixed the hot tub unexpectedly sooner than later . Thanks
