Signed up for a trial class for my 6 year old daughters birthday. Got two reminders for the class. One the day before and one an hour before the class just to see a notice posted on their door saying they had to cancel the class unexpectedly due to construction. Crazy that you can send out reminder notices and tape up a piece of paper but can’t get a notice to the people who signed up for the class in the first place. Can’t recommend this “gym” to anyone

Excellent place. Always making the children feel good and building confidence in them. My son had a great time. His coaches are very patient.

We absolutely love Coach Megan and Mythic Gymnastics.

Our 4 year old son had an experience at another gym that made him decide he never wanted to do gymnastics again. We got him to agree to try this gym and it’s been absolutely wonderful.

I know that dealing with a bunch of toddlers isn’t easy and can be frustrating, but Coach Megan handles it all so well. She is always so patient, calm and kind with the children and does very well ensuring they’re listening but also having fun.

My son asks to go back every week and is always excited to see his coach and classmates.

Signed up my granddaughter for the toddler program. She is 2. She currently attends swimming classes, soccer and karate here in Reno, and has had great experiences at everything. Since she was new to the program we came a bit early to check it out and sign paperwork, ten minutes early. We were instructed to go to the back of the gym to the toddler area. Since we still had about 6 minutes until class started, she wanted to play on the mats. A young girl came over and told us no one is allowed on the mat until the class started. My daughter and I were there to provide proper supervision and she was not touching equipment that was outside her age group, just playing on the mat. So, now
we are expected to sit on a chair and wait. Fine for adults, not for a two year old. She was not a happy camper. Perhaps a basket of toys for those that may arrive a few minutes early. Then at 2 pm class started. The instructor was a young girl, who never acknowledged my granddaughter. The young girl didn’t look too thrilled to be there and was not at all engaging with anyone. She just expected my two year old granddaughter to follow instructions. It was our first time too and since it’s a parent/toddler program we were given no greeting either and we weren’t sure what our roles were to be. We were beyond frustrated with our experience here. Later that day my daughter and I received an email from Mythic stating that they were looking for help so that they would not have to cancel classes….’no experience required.’ I’m not sure what the training is there for the toddler program but I think it’s needs further expansion.

Been to 3 other gyms in Reno and this is definitely the best. Small classes with great coaches. They focus on form and doing skills correctly. Other gyms we went to allowed slop. The coaches keep ot fun and encouraging throughout the classes. I would definitely recommend going here.

Went to the Parent and Tot class. Online it’s advertised as a 18mo-3yr class. My daughter wasn’t even acknowledged upon coach arriving. Coach had the older toddlers do warm ups as my daughter walked around because she doesn’t understand directions as she is 18 months old. Coach only focused on the older kids and my daughter was left to wander on her own. We had to teach her and guide her to try to do what the coach was doing as the coach didn’t care too. I was excited and prepared to pay for more classes but due to the horrible experience I will never come back as my daughter shouldn’t feel left out and not acknowledged at such a young age. We are Hispanic and there was one other hispanic older toddler in the class and they seemed to be treated differently than the lighter complexion kids as the coach was only paying attention to the kids that had the same complexion as her. I will not stand for this and it is not ok that at such a young age kids are treated differently because of the color of their skin.

Finally found a gym that challenges my child. My 8 year old has been in gymnastics since she was 3. We have tried every gym in Reno, and they are all the same. So many kids that yours doesn't get noticed. Here at this gym they take the time to know each kid and work with them on their level. Their warm up is straight forward leaving plenty of time to get what you paid for. The location is perfect as well! I will never go anywhere else. Thank you to Kyle and his team.

Went to a toddler and parent class with my son, my friend and her daughter. our couch was couch Abby. To start with she was very very rude. It was my sons first time there and he’s only 24 months, He’s a very shy baby. So obviously he was fussing a little bit when we get there because it was all new people in a place he’s never seen. Once we walked in and my baby was crying couch Abby automatically made a rude face at us and didn’t interact with my son at all. She seemed annoyed with him. Time passes and he’s doing better and playing. Couch Abby didn’t even seem like she had anything planned out correctly and as if she didn’t know what she was doing. Obviously toddlers being toddlers are going to fuss because things are new or moving too fast because they’re confused. Couch Abby had no idea what she was doing or how to handle the situation. My friends daughter wanted to play with a balloon couch Abby had and when she started to cry couch Abby no longer wanted to Interact with her either. She completely ignored my son and my friends daughter once she started to cry. She was unprofessional. When we were about to leave she didn’t even talk to us she looked as if she was mad and annoyed and went to talk to a different toddlers parents as if our kids were just annoying and bad kids. To me they were acting like toddlers that are experiencing something new. But she wanted them to act like grown adult children. She’s not a good couch and if she can’t handle toddlers she shouldn’t be teaching a class with toddlers in it. Super judgmental and unprofessional.

When I started right after the pandemic I couldn't even do a cartwheel. Now I can do all kinds of amazing things! I feel lucky because I found a gym that not only teaches adults, but has so many resources focused on teaching BEGINNER adults who didn't grow up tumbling. If you are on the fence, you need to trial the adult class for one day and see what it's about. I didn't regret it.

Kyle and his coaches are amazing! When our daughter overthinks a skill, the coaches are able to talk her through it, rebuild her confidence and get her performing the skill. It is amazing and fun to watch her grow and believe in herself. Mythic is one of our daughter’s happy places!

VERY GOOD PEOPLE! This place is really amazing! I was very happy to see that they actually follow state and CDC guidelines and DO NOT tie masks to the children's faces. There are other gyms in the area that actually do that.😳 it’s a very clean and safe environment and the coaches are extraordinary!!!

We love it here! My son has a hard time with self control and staying focused and on task. Coach Kyle is great at bringing him back to what he needs to focus on without embarrassing him or making him dread going in,as we experienced other places. We've only been going a few weeks but I can already see my son trying harder to focus both during class and outside of class.

We love Mythic! Coach Kyle is fun, friendly & kind. He has the experience and skills to take children further, faster, in gymnastics & tumbling. Kyle loves a challenge, which has allowed my child with behavioral struggles to flourish in his class. He doesn't give up on kids and has helped us to dramatically improved both my sons ability to focus & respond to directions both in and out of class. Kyle challenges my children, and helps them reach those goals. Kyle knows about a million work arounds and different ways to teach skills and concepts. We are so glad to have found Mythic Gymnastics and Kyle!
