I have been a member of Planet Fitness for 10 years. During Covid my membership was restricted due to conflict with another member. I started going back to this location about a year ago. The customer service is horrible. The representatives at the front desk are aloof, especially at night. They don't greet or acknowledge the customers that are coming in. The young man/Christian is always on his phone and starts scowling when you try to check in. Planet Fitness on Blue Diamond, please retrain your staff on how to treat their customers, otherwise you will continue to lose your members to EOF!

I’ve been going to this Planet Fitness since it opened up back around 2021 and it’s my go to gym. Staff is friendly, most of the time the paper towels are full and any machines that are out of service usually get fixed within the same week, locker room is pretty clean compared to other gyms. Of course every now and then small hiccups happen but overall 5/5 experience all the years I’ve been here.

I just wanted to give a big shout-out to Ariana working the front desk. I had questions about using a specific machine, and she didn’t just point me in the right direction—she actually took the time to walk me through it, explain how it works, and made sure I felt comfortable using it.

What really impressed me is that when I asked a follow-up question she wasn’t sure about, she went the extra mile and looked it up on her personal phone just to make sure I had the right information. That level of dedication and care is rare these days, and it meant a lot!!

She went above and beyond, and her helpfulness and positive attitude truly made my experience better. The gym is lucky to have her!

I would strongly suggest separating the females that work together in the morning. As they talk, laugh, don’t greet you as you come or leave, they stand there and mingle among one another. Second, the female with the red hair was rudely approaching gym customers regarding not using the machines in order. I understand the 30 minute yellow section should be done in sequential order, however 95% of people don’t ever abide by that rule. There was only one person using the machines in the yellow room and no wait at all. Why is this such a huge concern when there’s a low crowd and no wait? I pay for my gym membership and would like to use the machines at my convenience, especially if there’s a low crowd and no wait for the machines. On a lighter note, the male workers are very courteous and greet you as you come and go. They walk around and support customers, as needed.

As others have said the requirement of a BANK account is absurd to go to the gym. These two should never have to be linked and while they may spew any number of reasons for doing so it is solely to make it harder to charge back when they refuse to honor cancellation requests.

Shower Review: showers at this planet fitness are the separated changing room and shower setup with the walkway between them. Changing rooms have a curtain (not my favorite) but the showers have frosted glass doors which I do like. The doors open towards the rest of the bathroom reducing privacy during towel transitions but this is manageable. Water got hot fairly quickly. Overall a good experience.

The EOS type crowd is starting to show up. People having loud speakerphone conversations, filming, photos, tripods and people taking up equipment for extremely long periods of time while they play with social media. On top of that, there seems to be people not affiliated with PF training clients here, which have no etiquette whatsoever. Probably time to find a new gym.

Excellent location near the highway and services, best showers ever, music in the locker room was nice and quiet. Interestingly, unlike every other Planet Fitness I've been to all across the USA, nobody at the front desk felt the need to "welcome in" people. This is the standard at pretty much every other Planet Fitness I've been to and I think maybe the front desk folks need some hospitality lessons.

I decided to start working out and improve my health recently. I decided to go to Planet Fitness because of the affordable membership price, and the convenient location. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but there are some glaring issues I need to address.

The good: The staff members are very courteous and helpful. Every time I have been there, they have greeted me like they are happy to see me. Whenever I have had a question, they answered it to my satisfaction. When I had my orientation, the staff member who helped me set me up with a regiment that was realistic and easy to settle into. When you arrive, you use the app to sign in. Because PF is cashless, it is card only, but you can set up a card with your account to purchase drinks, accessories, etc. which is convenient when you don't want to have to worry about carrying your card with you on the floor.

The machines and equipment are all modern, sturdy, state-of-the-art equipment that are easy to use. The treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, etc. all have manual and pre-set workouts that are easy to set, and they have USB ports to charge your devices.

There are free-weights that are included with the basic membership, and there are classes that you can sign up for on the app. There are eight large monitors with different pre-set channels to view as you work out on the machines, and whole gym has a great climate control system which include large ceiling fans that keep the place a constant 72 degrees. In addition, the gym has a great sound system that plays a great mix to keep you motivated as you work out. There are several waste cans with paper towel dispensers and disinfectant to clean the equipment after use.

The Bad: On my first day, I was greeted by a patron, and she congratulated me on my journey, and asked what my goals were. At first, I was happy, thinking I made my first friend at the gym. Then, she started telling me all about her business and her insta profile, and I realized that she was just an "influencer" soliciting her business. Now this was a one-time incident, and I haven't had a problem since, but it was a bit off-putting. Planet Fitness has had a strong mission statement that has always included a "No Lunk" policy to foster a friendly, inclusive atmosphere, and I think it also needs to include influencers using it to push their brand.

The Ugly: They do have locker rooms with showering facilities, and the last time I was there, I was less than impressed with their cleanliness. Now I am not saying they were disgusting, far from it. But the floors had a lot of dirt and debris, and the shower area had a lot of debris on the floor. They have signs recommending that you wear shower shoes to avoid slipping, and I feel like they are also necessary to avoid stepping on sharp objects. On my last visit, there was garbage on the benches, and there was a person loitering on one of the benches on his phone. And no, I did not see him recording anyone, but the locker room is not the place for that. I feel that the locker rooms do need some kind of "No loitering please" signage.

I am not going to quit this gym; I am willing to give it a chance. But I would like to see it do more to address the issues I have brought up if I am going to commit to going beyond the February 2nd date that many consider the day when people who make New Year's resolutions to lose weight stop going to gyms.

Here's the deal.

I hate gyms. I hate how they smell. How they look. I hate that there is always someone else in them. But Planet Fitness? I've stomached going here for about a year, so there must be something about it I like.

The atmosphere is definitely casual. I don't feel like anyone is judging my form or watching me struggle to learn how to use the row machine. I'm sure someone is, but they're at least tactful about it. Speaking of tact, I have yet to see a phone out.

Rather, I should say, I've never seen someone with their phone out recording their workout with me sweating to death on the elliptical in the background. Now here's where that one star comes off. I am punishing you, Planet Fitness, for the follies of your customers. For you see, people think "gym time" means sitting at machines playing on their phone.

I get not wanting to be home. I'm sure your kids are annoying. But I really want to use that lat pull machine.

Great place to get a good workout. Every piece of equipment that you need and it has good clean showers and plenty of room to store your stuff in the locker. Scummy business model. To sign up for a membership you need to provide a bank account and routing number not just a credit card. If their data gets breached instead of some hackers just getting you credit card number they would have your actual account and routing number which is insane, and they only do it like this to keep you from being able to cancel your membership easily.

Got behind on payments.
Corporate said to contact club management and they basically told me tough. Cough up $149 if I want my membership reinstated
Had serious vehicle issues with transmission costing me over $4,000!
Finally got my car repaired then went to hospital with planter fasciitis! Ugh could not even walk for more than a week!
Club manager told me I should have frozen my account to hold.
She looked right me saying, we all have problems! You need to pay! If you want to use the club.
Honestly, I like the amenities the club offers.
The weights are wanting. But overall I like the positives over the negatives
But cannot justify paying that amount when did not even use the club in almost 3 months abs their chitty attitude!

This gym is quite crowded all the time nowadays, even after the new year's rush died down. You might want to get here super early or late if you want to get your strength workout in. Cardio machines are super busy but there should be machines available.

The air doesn't circulate well here. The middle of the gym is super cool with the fans and the A/C vent being there. But the cardio machines don't get much of that air and it gets real hot/muggy when you work out.

The gym is extremely hot. Everybody I talk to says the same. I spoke with the front desk staff, and they said all gyms are like this. No, none are, except for hot yoga. Everybody is sweating twice as much all over the machines, and not everyone cleans after. This makes it uncomfortable to work out in. Other than the heat, the gym is clean, and equipment is nice.

Been coming to this gym for a few years now, the machines need maintenance and more often than not are missing hardware. This gym compared to other local planet fitness locations locally needs to step it up. It’s crowded which means they have the ability to keep up on maintenance but decide not to. Oh this is probably the nicest Planet fitness I've been to out here in Nevada. It's a newer location that opened in 2021 and you can tell! I love how the machines count how many reps you do instead of you having to count to yourself. They have glass shower doors instead of plain old curtains like other PF locations. Also the locker rooms are pretty l, here's a photo of part of it. Don't worry, I made sure I was in there alone before I snapped a picture. Lol

The staff is great 😊. I never have any problem with them. They're always very kind and helpful. The gym section (where the equipment is) is always clean! The problem I have is with the locker room. There's hardly ever any paper towels in the dispenser. There's never any soap in the showers. When the staff checks the bathrooms they need to check the showers also. Someone sh*ted in one of the showers one evening and it must have been there for a while because the shower walls/floor were totally dry! Some of the women are slobs as they don't clean up after themselves. They leave clumps of their shedding hair in the drains or razors on the little shelves. It's gross 🤮! We are supposed to be adults! Unfortunately, every adult isn't clean! My biggest complaint is the seat in the handicap shower! There needs to be some kind of latch to keep it up! It falls way too easily! It fell and caught my knee. The result, an ugly bruise right above my left knee about two weeks ago. If it falls again while I'm showering, I won't just be leaving a review.

Pretty rough to see how bad this place has become. Been working out here since they opened. There's a been a piece of equipment out of service for 3 months (not interested in your excuses). It's so crowded you can barely find a corner of the gym to work out. There are still many good people there, but the team running the facility is disengaged at an embarrassing level. Trainer there takes over parts of the gym to teach people how to work out, but neglects to teach them some of the basics like wiping down the equipment when you are finished, being polite and basic gym etiquette like being respectful of where other people are working out and the space they are occupying. Nowhere near enough space here for me list all of the issues this joint has. Truly too bad. This used to be a great gym. Save yourself the trouble and find another gym. Free would be too much to pay for this place.

But would like to suggest the staff reiterate that it's for an express HIIT workout no a lounge for members who want to talk on Their phones and just set around on the equipment ,I witnessed one man set on a piece of equipment for over 20 minutes. New incompetent management or they just got lazy since last year. What ever the issue, they don't care anymore. This machine been down for over a month. (Refer to pictures) Restrooms always smell bad. They even made the curtains for the changing stalls a lot shorter than the stalls so people can creep on you. This is a very nice location with friendly and helpful staff. The equipment is clean and they have just about everything needed to reach most fitness goals. I love this gym. It isn't usually busy when I go early in the morning. It definitely gets more crowded late morning and evenings. There are lots of machines to work out on, tons of treadmills, rowing machines, stair climbers, bicycles, and ellipticals. The employees are nice. The bathrooms are clean, with lockers and showers. There are also tanning booths and massage beds and chairs. It can be as cheap as $10 for a membership or $20+ if you want different features and accesses. I'm glad my gym closed down so we could start going here.

I love working out. But this location at Mt.Edge is not being kept up to par. The women's bathroom is always dirty. Water puddles all over the sinks. Garbage cans are always overfill with trash. I enjoy the 30 minute room, I usually get the entire room to myself :-)

The relaxation zone is really the relaxation zone. I've been to locations in Ohio where you're facing every ones butt?? Not my cup of tea.

This location doesn't have the 🖥️ computers where you can check in yourself for messages, I really like locations that have those so I don't have to bother employees

The showers here are amazing. They have soap, unlike some planet fitnesses. The showers themselves have doors. There is more than one changing room. Very clean.

I recently got a membership. Finally doing it. All of the things you hear about PF on commercials and from friends are true and that goes DOUBLE for this location. I love the Black Card benefits targeted towards recovery. [Aquatic massage and Red Light are my new go-to methods!]
