Cheap ain’t good and good ain’t cheap. Staff just aren’t very informative about exercises. I can’t get any advice from them. They also seem very annoyed when I ask them a question. All I get is “I don’t know” for literally every question I ask them. It seems like the other places in washoe county are good but this location, specifically their general manager and trainer just isn’t very helpful when you ask them a question. My opinion of the trainer is he’s cocky and that alone is obnoxious. Spends more time talking about his experience in the military than focusing on the purpose of the appointment you made to get a plan from him. My opinion of their gym is he’s oblivious to everything in his field. Imagine walking into an auto shop and asking the technician “excuse me, sir. My car is making this funny noise. Can you give me some advice on how I could diagnose it” and the technician replies back “I don’t know. I don’t know anything about cars” and then proceeds to flex on you with his tool collection. That would be pretty ridiculous right? Whatever field you work in, I expect you to know some thing about that field. I don’t care if you’re a gas station attendant. I expect you to know the difference between premium and regular. People want jobs but they don’t wanna know anything about their job. They wanna work in a specific industry, but they don’t wanna know anything about that industry and that’s where one stars come into the equation.

The employees in here are extremely lazy and refused to help me sign up. I was having a hard time signing up online and instead of offering to help she was putting on lip gloss and showed me their little iPad to sign up. I told her that I couldn’t sign up online for some reason so I needed her to help me but refused to and said that the only way to sign up is online when that’s completely false. I’ve signed up for Planet Fitness multiple times in person and not once have I been refused like this. LAZY!!!!! Do better

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any gym. An older woman at the front tried to force me to take a picture even after I told her I’d already done it three times. When I said I just wanted to work out first, she mocked my accent and said, “Oh, you don’t think you’re pretty enough right now?” I told her no but after I take a shower yes she told me you cannot leave without taking a picture I told her that's fine after she
She kept mocking me throughout my visit she agreed to my terms and later told me I couldn’t shower because someone would be cleaning at 11. When I politely asked the man who was cleaning if I could still shower, he suddenly started yelling at me — “Why can’t you? Then I said excuse me he said what all rude Just go take a shower!” — for no reason at all.Between her mocking my accent accusing me of Faking It several times and him yelling at me, this was beyond disrespectful. For a place that calls itself “judgment-free,” this was nothing but judgment. I’ve never felt so unwelcome or insulted at a gym. I don't recommend it here and it's pretty sad how a well over 65 year old woman can act so childish I do not recommend the night crew I left to go get something from my car I came back and she started yelling at me too why are you back! Like my stuff is here I'm going to shower or I don't know what the answer is here but the day crew is pretty nice I was there around 3:00 p.m. and they were just amazing sadly I don't want to go back it was a horrible experience I guess I can't recommend it if you have an accent I've never been made fun of before that's pretty new for me this all happened today Sunday at around 9:30 to 12

On August 25, 2025, at 4:30 p.m., I visited Planet Fitness to inquire about a weekly pass.I travel for work and have discovered that other Planet Fitness locations offer passes to workout. However, the unprofessional behavior of this smart-aleck in the front desk has made it difficult for me to obtain a pass. He shouldn’t be working in a customer service setting.

I like this location and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I’ve only seen one piece of equipment out of order and that was only for a short time. Only 4 star because the mirrors often get distractingly dirty and the top of the lockers in the men’s dressing room have never been cleaned. Ever. Tempted to add a photo but decided not to.

Today, Tuesday, June 10th, at around 8:15 pm, a friend and I went to your Planet Fitness gym to get information so we could sign up. However, the lady who was serving the customer treated us very poorly. She gave us terrible, incomplete information. We wanted to see the gym facilities. She made us register, but she didn't want us both to go in. She told us only one could enter, despite us having registered.

I'm really disappointed with this gym because of the type of customer service they provide. At least the lady who was there during the time we went has a very bad attitude toward customers.

The gym is nice but fails in some critical areas. First, the general music is way too loud. You can't even hear your own headphone music over it. Second, the wall clock is broken and appears to not have been fixed in months. Third, the young staff is rude and unprofessional. When I walked in, the girl at the counter gave me a look like she hates her job and didn't even say hello back when I said it. Lastly, when I informed them of the music and the clock issue, they told me I'd have to talk to someone else about it. Isn't that why you're working there? If you can't fix the issue then you need to let your manager know. Planet Fitness is great almost everywhere I travel, and this place sets itself apart with exceptional quality equipment, yet lags in the development and sustainment of an environment where you can hear your own music, and basic customer service. I'm sure it will improve.

The price for membership is too much for what it is provided. The black card membership is not worth it. The $50 annual fee to keep a membership account up-to-date is pointless because the member takes care of all membership issues, and the gym does nothing but take the members' money. Canceling account is a nightmare, and they still charge you the year worth membership.

After trying to give them another chance in the month of March was charger $49.99 on the 3, $24.99 on the 19, $49.99 again on the 22 ,and once again I was charged $15.99 on the 31. After this, when asked why I was charged multiple times for nothing, I was told that they were late fees due to no payment maid that month, yet the app on my end stated I was current with payments. The cherry on the cake was that they won't refund me the bs late fees.
In closing, DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY IN THIS BUSINESS!!!!!

After coming from coos bay Oregons planet fitness i have to say these are the laziest employees I've ever seen work at a gym. Everything is super dirty. The red light therapy was a dirty as a used dog bed with lint and hair. Employees just play on their phone. No elkay water bottle fill station and drinking fountains get turned around feom pranksters trying to get you wet while your tired and thirsty. Lockers and pocker rooms smell like homeless people and drugs. Bummer planet fitness... bummer..

I'd give it a 5 but the people going there, I've seen old guys and young often use the restroom and splash some water on their hands as if that makes em clean. Y'all gotta remember that diseases can be transmitted like that, both men and women can pass things like Chlamydia and syphilis on surfaces. Plus, WASH YOUR HANDS, I'm not even a germaphobe but not washing your hands is just straight disgusting.

Absolutely best Planet Fitness location I've been so far. Staff is always friendly and non-judgemental. Gary was very helpful when I originally signed up, answered all of my questions and made me feel welcomed.

I love the convenience of it being open 24/7 as I usually tend to come pretty late. I love the discipline of people wiping down the equipment after each use.

Pretty spacious gym. Plenty of parking.

This feels like is an older Planet Fitness. Not the newest equipment that they have some of their more current clubs, but for the most part, everything seems to be working pretty good. Restrooms were clean when I started my evening workout.
Lots of parking to get into the club. But parking lot just a little beat up. They have a good mix of massage chairs and tanning beds if you’re a black card member.
Staff seems pretty friendly.

The negatives that I ran into were these:
1) As an out of state visitor…because this is a franchise club they have limited data base access and had a hard time finding me in the National PF Data base even with Cell number & my member number but fortunately they found through my black card number.
2) The pads on Some Pieces of equipment although they vinyl was not torn, the under foam was so crushed down and so beat the pad outer vinyl material was creasing in lines and was actually painful to do the exercise (like the leg extension piece in the 30 minute circuit area).
The seat pad vinyl was not torn but the under foam was so crushed it’s pinching or rubbing on the hamstring.
3) I did not see a bottle filler, just a drinking fountain?

But overall pretty well maintained, would visit again.

I have been going to this gym for nearly 2 years now. I have a routine of equipment use while watching both news channels (CNN and FOX) and they have always been shown on TVs next to each other. I show up this week and they have taken the Fox channel off of the #9 TV and replaced it with FX. The one closest to the girls standing up front. I asked if it can be changed back and was told those TVs are controlled by corporate. I enjoyed getting two sides of news together while doing my workout. No other Tvs changed but that one Fox channel on that one TV. The TVs shouldn't be for the employees to watch but for the patrons who workout. Its hard to buy that corporate changed the Tvs around when its just the FOX station on the TV nearest the front counter. And as sure as the sun, I come in today, May 15th, and this girl is doing nothing but watching that TV. She must really be a Blackish fan because the papers towels are out but she's laser focused on that show

Honestly was a chill spot for a while. Last few gym sessions I have gone to at this particular gym. I get in line for a massage chair and people cut the line and to talk to the staff, and then allows whatever they want?. I’m standing in line but the lady who walked up from behind me went to the other associate asked for a massage chair and cut myself and a couple off in front of me and the staff member allows this to happen? Not a single barbell, and lots of yuppy type attitudes. They pride themselves on not catering to those who are serious or heavy lifters. Mostly teenagers and weight watchers type crowd. More people there to socialize or walk on the treadmill than actually train. Pretty disappointing. They do have dumbbells and machines, about 3/5 of the floor is machines. If I’m a member of a 24h fitness club, why can’t I park in front at 1am to go to my gym but am harassed by a security guard about “no overnight parking”? Am I a member or not? I have been going to this gym for awhile, and finally ended my membership after finally getting fed up with the lack of community. When thousands of people join a gym, they join a community. Being in a community means simple things, like wiping down equipment, not hogging six sets of dumbbells when you only need one set at a time, being aware when people are waiting to use a machine, instead of sitting on your phone for five minute “rests” between sets. I thought I had a good thing going, but it’s impossible when the members have no sense of community.
It also does not help that they let 14-17 year old kids in for free during the summers. I’m not against this on paper, but I have seen so many teens not wipe down, and overuse equipment in a way that is not safe.

Weather is beginning to heats up, gym seems to be getting crowded at times. I wished there are more equipments so we don’t have to be waiting around that much. but it is what it is.
Staff is excellent. I notice few of the staff working diligently to keep the place running smooth. I think one of the girls name sky something, she is always picking up things and dusting. When she done doing that she keeps all the sprayers and paper towels stock. I hope she getting paid well, least she should get a raise. All these little things makes it positive atmosphere for a great work out. Nothing worse than to have to walk around looking for paper towels. Killing the pump.
Keep up the good work everyone. I think management do well to keep good employees around to run this place like a well oiled machine ✌🏽

Horrible gym. Machines and hydro tables are always broken. The locker room is gross. The monthly fee does not come out at the same time every month. You also HAVE to cancel in person. I canceled my my membership and was told that the manager would have no problem reversing one month of charges, since I canceled on my date and hadn’t used it in months. I called back and the manager was extremely rude. She told me they don’t and can’t do that. She then gave me a number for Planet Fitness who tells me my problem can only be handled by the individual location. Lies, crooks, and busted equipment.

I would like to thank planet fitness for being a basic honest-to-goodness gym with such Excellent hydromassage massage tables. I love the positive vibe in the gym like "you belong" and stuff. And let me tell you, for what they charge a month even with a black card membership, it's still a steal. :)
Those Hydromassage tables have helped my chronic upper back pain and tight muscles. If you come work out here, I'll give you my personal tips on making this automated hydromassage even better :) bring a silk eye mask so the bright lights don't bother your eyes, and cover your ears with older style headphones to tone down the sound of the water working its magic. It's fantastic to "reward yourself" after a tough workout. The respect paid by others for my visible hard work, is palpable and very rewarding. I am happy and grateful and look forward to a very long journey in wellness with Planet Fitness.

This place used to be spotless and clean. For the last 4 months I have went in Planet Fitness, every trash was overflowing with garbage, the bathroom was a mess. All Trash bins on the gym floor were overflowing with trash, the bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in a at least a week. All except one paper towel machine were out of paper towels. A few of the paper towel dispensers were broken and did not work correctly. The floor was dirty and there was trash and other items on the floor. All of the disinfectant bottles were empty. Overall, this place was in a state of disarray and was a complete mess for the last 4 months.
Previous to 4 months ago that this place was spotless and all the equipment was fixed as promptly as possible. It seems that the new manager and the new employees do not care that the Gym is dirty and is a mess. I will post a couple of photos below. I should have taken more, which would have been extremely easy because this place was such a disaster. It is obvious when employees and the manager do not care if the Gym is presentable to their customers and to the public.

I really hope my experience with having to take a cold shower was a one time occurrence because one time I caught staph from another gym and have staph now and I wouldn't want anyone else to catch it but cold water is not up to par with safety practices. Plus, it's downright offensive to expect people to shower in cold water when it's 20 degrees outside. Do better planet fitness.

Nice and cool place to work out but they need to do an better job on cleaning the men's bathroom and shower area. See things in there for a couple days that clearly says bathroom not being cleaned daily.
