I was in Portland for a short trip and looking to try a new workout one morning. Leslie quickly messaged me back with her availability and scheduled a private reformer class! She is so sweet and friendly and also a great teacher. I had never done pilates before but I didn’t feel intimidated one bit with her! Leslie is very knowledgeable and gave really great form cues and tops. Would really recommend this place and would have taken more classes if I was in the area longer!

I have been taking Leslie's BarSculpt classes in Portland for many years. Since I'm stuck at home, I decided to try the virtual Pilates mat class. It was awesome! Leslie gave me great instruction on my form while doing this in the comfort of my home. I was pleasantly surprised by how much could be done in a virtual class. I was definitely sweating at the end of the workout. I highly recommend these classes! And when we can finally get out of the house then definitely meet Leslie in person. She is the best barre instructor in Portland!

Pilates Reformer is the best core -strength exercise ever. I have achieved strength, flexibility and better posture. Gone are my back pains caused by long car commutes. BarSculpt instructors are the most professional and kindest coaches you could find. Thank you!

LOVE BarSculpt! The instructors are absolutely incredible. I was blown away that every instructor will help you get into proper alignment (whether it is your 1st or 50th class), but also can tell you why you are in that position, what you are working, and really push you to get as much as you want out of each class. Studio is beautiful, just like the staff. Highly recommend to anyone & everyone

I have been a member at Bar Sculpt for a little over 3 years partaking from their varied menu of classes from Bar Sculpt to Pilates to Beat to Pound et al. Their classes have been an invaluable aid in augmenting core and lower body strength while assisting in rehabilitating a competitive running injury. As a supplemental benefit classes here have built a great base for me for non Bar Sculpt fitness activities, i.e.weight training and boot camp classes. I plan to keep renewing membership here for many years.

I cant say enough good things about BarSculpt. This workout has changed my life. The instructors are wonderful. I have never finished a class and not wanted to come back for more. BarSculpt has this insane ability to kick my ass like no other workout has ever done before while at the same time Leslie, Lacey and Dori make it fun and entertaining. Its a great way to strengthen the core and maintain flexibility which makes for feeling great all the time in both body and mind. They keep the pace fast and the music loud and before you know it, the hour is up. Go try it! You'll be glad you did!

Moving to Portland last year from the West Coast and Bar Sculpt was the first studio I tried out. I love it! I have been attending reformer pilates classes 3-4 times a week and just ventured into taking the Bar Sculpt classes. They are very addictive. The instructors are all great and each has a diverse ways of teaching - you are bound to find the right fit for you.

I have been taking Barsculpt classes for 5 years now and the classes are challenging every time. When I first started taking them I was very humbled as a guy and realized just how out of shape I was, especially my core, thighs and my overall lack of flexibility. This is a lot different then say hitting the gym or cross fit and to me it is more of a challenge. Most men would never give a Barre class any thought but this is a workout that leaves me sore in a good way, while refreshing my mind at the same time! It’s all about what you put into it and there is always another level you can take it to. I've become much more in tuned and aware of body taking these classes and I still have a lot to learn.
The best thing is it doesn’t matter what fitness level you are at, it will always be challenging and everyone can do this! You can rest assure the owner Leslie and the teacher Lacey will push you if you want it, give you great advice and work with you on any difficulties or limitations you might have. They change up the classes so its not all the same like at one of those chain Barre classes.
The best thing about this place is that it is locally owned, locally created and your supporting local people.

I like that the types of exercises are different every time which keeps it interesting but still focuses on the same core muscle group so I can see improvement. I also really like that the stretching is done throughout the class instead of waiting until the end which makes me feel less sore the next day compared to other classes. The instructors are all really knowledgeable and motivating! I never know I could work so hard with such small movements!
