Training with Tom for the past year has been a great experience. Tom is friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable in a wide variety of exercises and techniques. His gym is clean and well-maintained, and is outfitted with all the equipment you could need. Before I started training, my self-guided fitness routine had become stale and hit a severe plateau. Tom has helped me break through it and continue to push beyond. I feel fortunate to have found Cardew Fitness and would highly recommend the business to anyone thinking about personal training.

Being new to the area and after a long February, I did a Google search for personal trainers and Cardew Fitness came up. I had no idea what to think, at first, but from the very first interaction (including emailing about setting up a time) Tom was professional, easy-going, and knowledgeable. Each session was tailored to my level and help me push myself. He made sure I was comfortable with each exercise and explained them. He set me up with information and resources for when I finished up my sessions. After a few months of training on my own, it was incredibly easy to schedule a couple of sessions to make sure I was on track and my form was correct. It has been great working with Tom in a comfortable atmosphere absorbing the information he has to help me continue training.

I've been working with Tom for a little over a month and as someone who works in the exercise science field, I can assure you this guy knows what he is doing. Workouts are tailored to YOUR ability. The fitness studio is well equipped, and is the perfect environment for those that don't want an audience when working out. I have lost significant weight, and gained so much more strength and definition. I would give Tom and his studio 10 stars if I could. I am so grateful.

I've trained with Tom for a month and a half now and I'm thrilled that I found him. I've worked with a number of different personal trainers in the course of my life. Most of them were very good. But my experience with Tom beats them all. His approach is perfect for me. When I first called him to see if he was available, I immediately liked the fact that he offered a free one hour work-out to see if his way of working was a good fit for me. Really nice! For comparison, a competing trainer in the area charged $150 to my credit card on the day of the very first phone call, before we had even met, and required that I commit to a $1,200 membership (minimum) on the spot. Tom offers a variety of packages and you can commit to whatever works for you. The second pleasant surprise, once I started training with Tom, is that every single workout is different. The workouts are tailored to my specific goals, and to my level of fitness and strength as it develops. Not only is each one-on-one workout in his studio different from the previous one, but each time I do a workout on my own, Tom sends me a new workout by email. They never repeat. I'm skinny and trying to gain muscle, and in the first 6 weeks gained 10 pounds--which is not easy for me! My cardio fitness has also greatly improved. So not only is it fun, but I'm seeing results. Finally, Tom has a great personality. He's very positive and encouraging, and doesn't lay any kind of trip on you. You don't have to deal with his ego, he just does his job and does it well. In short, I like Tom and I like what he does, and I'm really glad I stumbled across his website when I was looking for a trainer.

I have been training with Tom for two months now and it has made a positive impact on every aspect of my life. He is motivating and personable and his workouts are individualized and extremely effective. His private studio is clean with excellent equipment and his prices are competitive. I am beyond thrilled with the results I am seeing from working with Tom, I can't believe how much my body has changed in such a short amount of time. Highly recommend!!

Tom is a great trainer. He listened to my goals, personalizes each session, and is encouraging and positive. We talk about diet and lifestyle. He's a wonderful coach. I always look forward to my sessions, love the ache of the workout. I feel stronger each time.

I have been training with Tom for close to five years. When I started training, I knew nothing about the gym or working out. Tom was able to change his routines to accommodate my fitness level and made working out fun! The programs are always different, challenging, and well planned! Over the years I have trained I have lost 90 pounds and I don’t think I could have accomplished this goal without him. The studio is always clean and meets all COVID sanitizing practices.

I have trained with Tom for close to 4 years. He is an excellent trainer who adjusts the training regimen to the individual. He has a private studio that adheres to all COVID safe practices. He is a consumate professional and as a trainer in high demand. If you get a chance to train with him...take it!

I've been working with Tom for almost a year and this is the first time I've had success sticking with a fitness routine. I dislike a lot of things about gyms and fitness culture in general and Tom's studio is a refreshing change from all of that. He is very knowledgable and takes a straightforward, no-pseudoscience approach to training that I appreciate. His equipment is excellent and his studio is immaculate. He's also a seriously great guy who makes the hour fly by. I'm really proud of the progress I've made and I don't think I could have done it with anyone else.

I started training with Tom Cardew about 7 years ago; for the past year I’ve been training with him at his studio three days a week regularly. He is very personable, and has an easy manner, but he gets RESULTS. There’s no macho bro-ness about him like a lot of other trainers, or spouting of mindless fitness-speak. His programs are tailored to who you are and what your goals are; workout routines are very thoughtfully designed, challenging, and never repetitive. After being away living in Italy for year and then not getting back into training for a while, I came back when he opened his studio. I am in the best shape of my life. I’ve built a lot of muscle and lost 40 lbs. I always look forward to going, and on training days it’s the highlight of my day.
