I’ve been a gym rat for about 20 years, though I don’t look it. I usually get bored with the routine and move on to a new gym within a year or less. But now I can’t imagine my life without CrossFit Free. I strongly recommend this gym because of the quality of the coaches, fitness program, variety of equipment and above all the community. I love that this place is about being the strongest and healthiest version of yourself, not about weight loss, fat percentages and ideal body weight. There is no routine. Every day is different and challenging in a unique way (kudos to Brandon’s expertise and creativity). I don’t ever feel pushed or pressured to the point of injury, a concern that fueled my hesitation to join CrossFit for so many years. I modify everything to my fitness level, and that’s ok. With consistency, you still get stronger and better.

Great place for fitness and friendship. Coaches are extremely knowledgeable and everyone is willing to lend a hand. Classes have multiple skill levels and even then can be scaled as needed. If you are serious about your health and fitness then you've come to the right place.

My first day at CFF was May 12, 2017. One of the hardest things I've done was walking through the door that first day. 40 lbs later I am all in!
This box is basic and raw. No flashy lights or computer screens. And no fancy machines, as the video says "we are the machines"!
The coaching at CFF is really what makes it all happen. These guys and gals are second to none. Its not about the weight but the function/movement. If you cannot do it properly, it doesn't matter how much you can lift. They want you to do it right.
When I look back to where I was just over a year ago, there is no way I would have done any of it with out CFF. If i don't hear Justin pushing me through the WOD, I think I'm doing it wrong. It has changed my life. How I look at fitness and nutrition. And I still have a long way to go.
Whether they know it or not, they are not only Crossfit coaches, but Life coaches. Give them a try and you will see what I mean.

I joined CFF a couple months ago and am so glad I did. Crossfit can be intimidating to start but the coaches take time to make sure you are onboarded properly and continue to help with form and proper weight loading. Workouts are intense but can be scaled to your fitness level. Members are really friendly and the whole gym has more of a community feel than any other gym or fitness club I've joined previously.

I started in the New You classes with a fair bit of nervousness based on the impressions and feedback that I had heard about Crossfit in general - but I wanted to try something different. I was really pleasantly surprised at the energy and enthusiasm found at CFF - by both the coaches and the other members. Everyone is extremely helpful, supportive and non-judgmental. I am now in my 9th month and liking the results that I am seeing. Long way to go to hit my personal goals but this is a great place to achieve them! Highly recommend checking them out.

I started Crossfit at 57, and wish I had started sooner! All the stories I had heard where false. CrossfitFree is an outstanding example of Crossfit. The athletes, women and men, who run the classes are called Coaches'.They are exactly that and are some of the best in the Crossfit prorgram. The professionalism of these Coaches are at a level I have never experienced. There is so much to learn it is truly amazing. We are all taught together in a class. Everything is scaled to the level you are at. You can always see what your next step will be and constantly try to reach it. Everything leads to the next step so it is impossible not to improve. The classes are tough, last an hour, broken down in three parts.
This system works! CrossfitFree is the Best in the area, hands down! GIVE IT A TRY.

I started going to Crossfit Free about 3 years ago and now I can’t picture myself anywhere else. It completely changed my life. The community is amazing and so welcoming to new members. The coaches are incredible and really pay attention to each individual member. If you’re looking to start crossfit, Crossfit Free has some awesome programs like New You and On Ramp to help get you started and covers all the basics. If you already do crossfit and looking for a better gym, Crossfit Free won’t disappoint.

I made the decision to join CrossFit Free after moving to a near by town. CFF has an awesome facility and staff. I was apprehensive about joining because I had never done CrossFit before and did not know anyone. After doing the on-ramp intro course with Coach Chase and jumping into class I felt very welcome. Coaches want you to progress and succeed and do their best help you. CrossFit is for all ages and fitness levels.

My introduction to CFF was through a 6 week challenge. I had always been a bit intimidated by the notion of CrossFit. However, the coaches and community are so superior that I joined as a full member. I have been a member for almost a year now, and can't say enough about CFF. I encourage anyone that is interested in getting fit and being in a great supportive environment to try it. You don't have to be young or extremely fit to join, the coaches make it accessible for all. Do it!

I love Crossfit Free! I’ve been a member for more than 4 years and taking that first class was the best decision ever. I had no real athletic ability before I started Crossfit but now I go to class 5-6 days per week...and I love it.
The owners are so knowledgeable and take such pride in the gym and its members. The coaches are world-class, best in the business. The programming is challenging and thoughtful. The community is so supportive and welcoming. Just the best. I can’t say enough about how amazing Crossfit Free is!

My wife and I joined an "over 50" cross fit class here. It was a great decision. The trainers are excellent and knowledgeable, especially concerning the fitness needs and limitations of our age group. After this six-week class is completed we will be staying around for the next step in our training.

I have only been going here for two weeks but the trainer/owner is amazing. Telling me exactly how to stand and make sure I am learning the correct way to do an exercise so that I don't hurt myself. Also always giving us encouragement. Great trainer Everyone there is always so friendly.

I was very into fitness 2 years ago and I was in the best shape of my life. I dont know if working as much as I do now(70+ hours a week) played a part in my lack of motivation, but I have been searching for the drive I once had and knew was possible. I currently have 4 different gym memberships. I need the structure of a class right now to get me back on track. But with more gyms .. came more excuses... wrong class.. wrong time etc. Crossfitfree in salem changed that for me!! I dont know what we are doing for the workout until i walk in.. that alone gets me through the door! The workout is never the same and the amount of knowledge i am gaining is priceless! I have only been attending crossfitfree for a few weeks and their program has me hooked already and I am proud to say that I have finally got "my drive" back!

I have called this place the past 3 days.. left a voicemail for "Brandon" the first day then no call back.. called back once the next day and still nothing. Then today I called them to inquire about the intro session and the guy said just email me and then hung up.. didn't give me any information about anything not even his email address.. this place is expensive, but we thought we would get what we are paying for now I'm not sure about that. If I'm gonna pay sooo much money each month I don't wanna be trained by ignorant people. I'll take my money elsewhere. There's got to be another crossfit gym around here that actually has good employees that know how to do their job. Crossfit itself seems awesome, but this specific facility not so much.
