I started with Individual Fitness as part of their 30 day jumpstart program. I was looking for a trainer that could help me build a nutrition and workout plan. Jim is a fantastic trainer and I am thrilled with the visible progress we achieved after the past few months. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I joined Individualized Fitness a few months ago. But, Jim created challenging, but doable routines for me. Now, I have virtually no arthritic knee pain, lost weight, getting toned and have a lot more energy! I love that Jim constantly changes my routines so there's no chance of getting bored. As a 62 year old with some physical challenges I was looking for a trainer who could focus on my needs - core stability and balance to help my golf swing - and make sure I exercised safely. Jim Olson fits the bill admirably. He is supportive and encouraging while making sure we get the work in! He constantly alters the workout because I need that to stay engaged. Jim and I call it the “IF State of Mind” and here’s an example of what it means. Last week, I was at my son’s baseball practice. Typically, I would stand and watch, maybe walk around if I got bored (as one does watching baseball practice). But last week instead of watching, I found a spot on the other side of the field and did some stretching, rolling, yoga, and then went for a long walk. I got myself moving, worked on my mobility, flexibility, and cardio. It felt great. I checked another box for the week. Looking back I realize that I’m truly in the right mindset and Jimmy O and the IF program helped me get here.

Individual Fitness lives up to its name! My trainer Dale caters my workouts to me. If I don’t like an exercise, he comes up with another way to work the same muscle so I’m getting the best workout possible. The owner Jim also is attentive to my needs as a member. I expressed needing more flexible gym hours based off of my work schedule and he figured out a way for members to access the gym at all hours via an app on your phone. I have been engaged with Individual Fitness for over three months and they are truly focused on ensuring that their clients understand the benefits of exercise, strength training, nutrition and daily, healthy habits all working together to achieve health outcomes. Motivating myself to get to the gym isn't as easy as it used to be. I decided after healing from a very bad injury that I needed someone to hold me accountable, so I called Individual Fitness. They gave me back the motivation I needed. My atrophied muscles are growing back and look great. I feel so much better than I have in a long time. IF was a total life change for me! A few years of falling into a pattern of unhealthy eating, drinking and almost no activity left me overweight, tired and uncomfortable in my own skin. Their team is motivating, supportive and so upbeat. I needed to be held accountable for the changes I was trying to make and IF did just that for me! Awesome, individualized experience! I have physical handicaps, and am trying to regain mobility and strength, and diabetes as well. Tailor diet to my health needs, as well as building core strengths and helping me gain sense of independence and trust in my body once again.

I have been going to individual fitness for three years. This past year there have been times when I couldn’t drive to the gym. I was offered a zoom session but I declined. I don’t have a home gym and I was worried I wouldn’t get a good workout. One day when I was going to miss another session, I agreed to the zoom session. The remote workout that was designed for me kicked my backside. If you aren’t able to get to the gym try the in home zoom sessions. You will not be disappointed.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the IF team. Joining IF was a game changer for me. I had finally experienced my last emotional food binge and decided I needed help. I was at my heaviest and I did not feel comfortable or confident in my own skin.

My experience here at Individual fitness has been nothing but spectacular! My personal trainer, Jim, has been on top of things, workouts are fun and hard, which I like. They change so you don't get bored doing the same things over and over again.
I have always hesitated on getting a personal trainer because of the money and the way places suck you in and pressure you, but not this place! I can discontinue at anytime and with no pressure from anyone there. I have succeeded so far and even though I have cheated a little more than I should have, I am still seeing progress! I’ve been working with Jim and the other folks at IF for about 2 months and the changes to my life have already been incredible. I’ve lost weight the right way — with healthy sustainable eating. I’ve lost inches on my waist and my clothes fit and feel great. I’ve gained more energy and mental clarity, including a much needed improvement in my mood and happiness. My body feels great, my sore knees don’t ache, my hip problems are getting much better, and I’m more mobile and flexible than I was 2 months ago. I have been going to individual fitness for a month now. Every since I walked in the door Jim and the other trainers are always there to greet you and get you on the right track to start your day. The workouts are fantastic and are always different based off what part of the body they are focusing on and the intensity level.
