The Barbell Club: It's Never Too Late to Start
Like many of you, I've tried it all. Yoga, Pilates, various gyms, and different classes... the list goes on. I would spend a great deal of time and money, but nothing ever stuck. I'd feel too tired to even go, and the motivation to continue just wasn't there. Then, I found Integrity Movement Lab and Kathryn's specialized Barbell Club.
Science shows that as we get older, lifting weights and maintaining our balance are two of the most crucial things we can do for ourselves—not just for our physical health, but for our future and our brain. It doesn't matter your age, thirties, forties, fifties, sixties, or, like me, in your seventies.
Kathryn, the owner and trainer at Integrity Movement Lab - GYROTONIC Seacoast, is a hands-on trainer who makes all the difference. This is the place to be if you want to invest your time and money wisely to reach your fitness goals and stay healthy.
If you want to move through life with ease, stay strong and fit, and not worry about the dreaded "old age" creeping up on you, then it's time to act. My only regret is that I didn't start sooner with Kathryn. Life and work get in the way, I know, but my advice is to just call and schedule an introductory class.
You have nothing to lose and so much to gain. A trainer is a significant investment in yourself, but it's one you deserve. This is your time to invest in your well-being. And trust me, in the long run, it'll be cheaper than plastic surgery or medical bills.
When you're a beginner or haven't worked out in a while—or maybe you feel like you're too old to start—it can be overwhelming. But Kathryn has your back. She checked all the boxes on my list of what I needed in a trainer:
Structure: Workouts are structured to keep you coming back.
Safety: She listens to you to ensure you don't get hurt.
Adaptability: She has the knowledge to adapt workouts for individuals, including those with pre-existing conditions or injuries.
Expertise: She knows proper form.
Motivation: She knows when you need to lift more and push yourself.
Just call her. You won't regret it.

I am thrilled with the physical progress I have made over the these last few years. Training with Kathryn at Gyrotonics for a couple of years was good, but when she transitioned to Integrity Movement Lab and introduced the KettleBell program was when I experienced the most progress. I am a skier and head north for the season. After nearly 2 years of Kettlebells I felt a real change on the ski slopes. Overall I felt stronger and was confident in making those quick turns down "interesting" terrain! The work I have done at Integrity Movement Lab with KettleBells has given me the physical confidence that I am less likely to injure myself on the ski slopes and elsewhere since my hip replacements. Thank you Kathryn for the encouragement and push to get stronger!

It started with knowing I wanted and needed to do more than just Pilates to improve my bone health. I was fortunate that a Google search connected me to Integrity Movement Lab and its owner Kathryn. Immediately from our introductory phone call I knew this was going to be a great fit.
My experience has been beyond what I could have asked for. Kathryn knows and communicates the latest research and ways to build strength. She is great instructor who is both a good listener and provides support and best of all encouragement.
After 9 months I am stronger than ever. The journey has taken me beyond just the workout and has made me look at my protein intake as an integral part of increasing my strength.
I would encourage anyone who wants to build a strong body to support them as you age in to your 60’s and beyond to try out this special place.

I strongly recommend Kathryn Londoff, the owner and trainer at Integrity Movement Lab. I began working with Kathryn to strengthen my back. Now, at 70, I have joined the Barbell Club and am lifting weights beyond my imagination. With Kathryn's observant and knowledgeable teaching, not only am I getting stronger, but I feel so much better overall. I am learning body mechanics that allow me to trust my body in everyday situations. Kathryn knows about aging bodies and how to train to strengthen the whole body. No matter how I feel in the morning before class, I know that training with Kathryn and my "older" women buddies, I will leave feeling fantastic - strong, growing, learning, and happy!

Kathryn is passionate about her mission to ensure women and men are strong and fit well into their later years. I’ve taken her barbells class at Integrity Movement for two months now. It’s given me strength and more energy! Our class is a compatible group of women. We encourage each other and compete with ourselves. Classes are fun as well as strenuous, and I leave feeling I’ve accomplished something.

I am 84 years old. I have been watching my formerly healthy friends become weaker to the point that they are losing their balance. Last fall I began Gyrotonics with Kathryn because while I have always been fairly strong with good balance I found that I had a weak core. I noticed this especially in my ballroom dancing lessons. In just a few months, I have increased my strength, especially my core. My balance has improved to the point that I can now put on my pants, socks, and shoes while standing on one leg.
I am impressed with Kathryn's ability to sense the specific needs of each individual. She teaches the hows and whys of each movement and is able to communicate and direct each individual through the movements.
I highly recommend Gyrotonics for everyone at every age. It teaches all the parts of the body to perform together with strength and coordination, which will improve your life in general as well as increase your capabilities in activities such as golf, dance, swimming, etc.

Gyrotonic Seacoast has been a game-changer for my golf game. I used to deal with back, hip, and knee pain, but after going there over the winter, I feel like a new person. The difference was clear as soon as I hit the range this spring. My core is stronger, my upper body moves freely, and I'm more than ready to tackle that handicap. Big shoutout to Joni and Katherine for making it happen!

Your body will thank you for doing Gyrotonic and if you're an equestrian so will your horse! Whether you're looking to improve your athletic performance or if you are recovering from an injury, Kathryn and Joni will help you find connections in your body that will help you lengthen, strengthen and stabilize.

About 6 months ago i was looking for a more focused and consistent strength training program and discovered Kathryn’s beginner kettlebells class. Ive learned so much from her about anatomy, body mechanics and all the foundational kettlebell exercises. I’m feeling strong and pleased with my progress (injury-free!) and the smaller class sizes allow for plenty of personal feedback from Kathryn on technique and form. Try a kettlebell class and join the fun!

Following a femur fracture, a diagnosis of osteoporosis, and a year of PT, Kathryn has me doing things I never thought I would do! With Kathryn’s guidance and encouragement, I have been lifting bar bells and Kettlebells, strengthening my core, and building muscle and bone. I thought I would never be able to pick up a child again, fearful I would hurt myself. But my work with Kathryn gave me the confidence and knowledge needed to safely scoop up my little nephew just this past weekend. Working one-on-one with Kathryn is helping me tackle osteoporosis! I recommend working with Kathryn, whatever your fitness goals and needs may be.

March 1st I took a chance on a new gyrotonics studio. Making the decision to leave my old studio to seek out something potentially better was not an easy one. My scoliosis thrives on a consistent & vigorous schedule. With consistency comes amazing results however the studio I was going to wasn’t giving me that anymore. All of a sudden going to the chiropractor was my only source of relief. Although I go to the chiropractor weekly the side effects of not going to gyrotonics was starting to show in many ways. I was desperate to find that relief again so I took a chance & emailed a studio closer by. The day after my first session at Gyrotonic Seacoast I saw my chiropractor. Without even telling her what I had done - she saw vast improvements in the sharpness of my thoracic curve. These improvements have continued every week.
Going into my first class I was pretty nervous to start all over again however within the first few minutes those nerves faded away. The overall atmosphere at Gyrotonics seacoast is like a warm hug and it is truly such a different experience.
Group classes have been life changing - especially in my mindset. For so many years I have felt so alone in my journey. Group classes have shown me that I am not alone. It seems like such a small change but it has been tremendous on me & my spine. There is just something so incredible about movement with others. In my old studio I was told group classes weren’t an option however Gyrotonic Seacoast has proved that isn’t the case.
I am so insanely grateful to be able to find a place like Gyrotonic Seacoast that gives me the tools to relieve my symptoms. There’s just something so beautiful about being able to move our bodies in ways that I would’ve never expected. In the few classes that I’ve been to about 85% of the material is new which is something that I didn’t know I was missing. I often doubt my body‘s limits and through going to this new studio I’ve been able to do way more than I would’ve ever imagined. Especially having the support of such a wonderful teacher and classmates. I don’t ever feel like I’m being judged or treated differently or that I’m alone because at the end of the day I’m not and this was just the reminder that I needed.
Gyrotonics is not just for scoliosis - it’s for everyone! I hope that you read this post and come out with more of an open mind. In a world where the standards are so high for beauty and having your life together - it’s been such a great reminder to know that it’s OK to be different and be thankful for the body you’re in because it’s capable of beautiful things. This is such a hard subject to open up about but you’re constantly seeing the highlight reel of each others lives. What I’ve learned especially from Gyrotonics is that in order to have the pretty moments you need to be able to reflect on the difficult ones. It’s such a tremendous relief to be able to create such vast movement in my spine and finally get back to improvements rather than setbacks. Progress is not always linear but I’m so glad that I was able to find something that gives me such strength.
Thank you, thank you thank you, Gyrotonic Seacoast.

I have gyrotonic sessions with Joni once a week. Gyrotonic and her guidance has helped me tremendously to regain strength and mobility after spinal cord injury and nerve damage.

Kathryn is a very good instructor who really focuses on form. I have found her patient and professional. I have had a shoulder injury for years and have been going to PT, Chiro, massage and this Is the only thing that has made it feel better.

Ok, so I could write 5 reviews all over the top! If you are reading this thank your good fortune for bringing you to place that will help you to access your full athletic and life potential at any age.
Kathryn has a Master’s understanding of the body and how it can best move. Not only that she has seen and understands all the compensatory patterns people fall into as they lose access to their mobility and range of motion over the years.
Liberate your body , it will reward you everyday.
Kathryn has helped this aging surfer, snowboarder, skateboarder shed years of less and less mobility, and is setting me up to have the last period of my to be my best athletically, functionally and as we all know, that is all good spiritually and psychologically !!
Do it!!

I have had neck problems for years, and I have been to regular PT for it quite a bit. The normal PT did help for a while, and did improve the condition a bit. But coming to Gyrotonics has been like coming to a graduate school from elementary school! It is clear that the great improvement in my neck, posture, and range of motion is due to the Gyrotonic emphasis on the "whole system" of the body, and the body in motion. Each individual exercise seems to help the whole-- I am impressed. Thanks also to Kathryn and her amazing attention to how one's body moves and what to correct.

I am truly blown away by Kathryn’s knowledge and passion for Gyrotonics, probably one of the best teachers out there! I have truly learned so much. I feel more rejuvenated after only a few sessions. The kind of rejuvenated felt when I was younger.

I am absolutely amazed at the impact working with Kathryn and team at Gyrotonic. I have been attending PT for a congenital hip disorder for many years with not much progress. After 2 weeks of Gyrotonic classes- total of 4- I experienced amazing relief from chronic pain. I have been attending 2X a week for 3 months and I can’t believe the progress I feel in my core. The release of tight/locked musculature is liberating. I hope you take the opportunity to see how it heals your body.

Kathryn Londoff at Seacoast Gyrotonic is a gift to her community. Her teaching skills are off the chart with proficiency, as i could easily follow what she asked our minds and bodies to do. I so appreciate her years of experience and would recommend anyone to attend a class of any kind with her, Gyrokinesis or Gyrotonic method. I appreciate her respectful, patient, pace and look forward to attending more sessions with Kathryn in the future. Thank you Kathryn you're amazing!

I have been Kathryn London's student for a few years at her studio, Gyrotonic Seacoast. I am hooked on Gyrotonics for its focus on fluidity and motion combined with its practical applications. It helps me move better in everything I do, from folk dancing to doing chores in the house, and from shoveling snow to sitting at my desk. I am getting stronger while learning how to avoid injury.
But I especially love learning from Kathryn. She tailors each lesson to my needs and keeps it fun. Kathryn puts a lot into her studio -- it is well equipped with all the gyro machines, she offers special workshops, and she seems always to be learning new things to share with us. In short, Kathryn's students are the beneficiaries of her dedication to her craft and her business.

I want everyone to know about this great exercise called “gyro”, but more importantly Kathryn @ Gyrotonic Seacoast! I started this practice about 3 years ago and with Kathryn’s help have become stronger and have not had lower back issues since I started. The movement is very different from anything I’ve done before - a mix of yoga, Pilates, tai chi and a little dance. She is very knowledgeable and gives excellent direction on how to move, where to feel/not to feel the pose. If you are looking to improve your core and back strength, range of motion and feel good when you finish your exercise... try a private or group session!

I've only been once so far, but they are fantastic! Kathryn was able to accommodate my needs with past injuries and show me new ways to move. The movements may seem simple but the integration of different muscles to move makes it feel like a real workout that seems to help with stabilization and flexibility
