Rich is a phenomenal dance instructor for all levels of experience! I contacted Rich several months before my wedding because I was interested in some dance lessons with my dad for our Father-Daughter Dance. Rich was very responsive and gave me recommendations with the typical amount of dance lessons we should expect. When it came time for the first lesson, I traveled all the way from the Boston area to meet my dad. My dad is a reserved, quiet man and I wasn't sure how receptive he would be to taking dance lessons. Fortunately Rich knew just what to say and how to approach teaching my dad. Rich was extremely patient, fun and explained things in a way that was easy to understand for average people. Before we knew it, my dad and I were having fun and looking forward to our dance lessons. Traveling two hours for a dance lesson with my dad no longer seemed like a hassle but great quality time with my dad working on something together. Rich took my vision for our dance and made it a reality. He assesses your abilities and his only goal is to make you look great and feel confident on the dance floor. Our dance turned out great and our guests loved it! I highly recommend Rich at Keene Fusion Studios to anyone! Rich is a gem and a gentleman and I can't thank him enough for all of his time and efforts with my dad and I :)

Nobody trusts 5 star reviews so I am only rating this 4 stars even though Richard is really a 5 star instructor.

Classes are small and very lighthearted and are welcome to both single people and to couples.
(And couples do NOT have to change parters if they don't want to.)

Classes start on time and progress nicely without excessive repetition.

The focus was on the _students_ progressing and not the instructor showing off.

If the students were able to perform the steps, Richard would give some tips to improve and then move on.
(My experience is that instructors from other studios talk endlessly about the steps of have the students do too many repetitions, to the point of boredom.)

There was absolutely no 'ewwww' feeling of the instructor dancing too closely or behaving inappropriately with my gf.

They have one-off drop-in rates and after doing that, we bought a 20 lesson 'ticket' which cost $8 per lesson per person.

A very nice thing is we can share the ticket and also that we can take lessons when we want which is very good for us because of our work schedules.

All in all, Richard is a fantastic instructor and the classes are very friendly and fun.
