After seeing a notice about On Target Fitness working with women over 50, I made an appointment to chat with Ryan about the place. What a great decision that was! I have been working out twice a week here for several months now. The coaches are so supportive and helpful every step of the way. I have a program that is designed specifically for me. I have lost a little weight but, most importantly, I am stronger and more confident in myself. I highly recommend On Target Fitness for anyone looking for a way to lfeel great!

What I knew when I signed up at Target fitness was that I didn’t want to rust. At 72, I wanted to bloom and feel strong. What I didn’t know was how important it was to join a team of caring, knowledgeable professionals who not only greeted me each day with enthusiasm and optimism but supported my training with useful adaptations and timely encouragement. I signed up thinking I’d get fit, and work out on my own. I keep coming back because this is training that believes anyone can bloom and be stronger at any age, at any fitness level. I started my exercise experience a little over 3 months ago and I am so impressed with how well the exercise program is tailored to my goals and needs. My main coaches, Emily and Sara are top notch! They truly care about me as client and take the time necessary to ensure that proper form and handling of equipment is well executed. I feel stronger and more confident with each passing week of attendance. The other members of the team that I have met, Ryan and Alec are very positive and interactive, even if not the workout coach. Alec is great with communication to members when alterations in scheduling are needed and I enjoy his weekly email updates and Blog. Likewise, coaches are accommodating when I need to re-schedule my workouts. For the amount of personalized attention, the On Target Fitness price point feels right!

I was looking for a gym that had more than just a normal gym feel. One that had people advocating and supporting people to help dive you to get to your goals. A sense of acceptance, motivation, and community!
I have been fortunate enough to find that with the team (Alec, Ryan, Emily, and Sarah) at On Target!!!
I just reached 90 days since I started! I can’t say enough about how I feel, I’ve been handle to achieve and over achieve my personal goals, and feel stronger than I have felt in the last 5 years!!
I’m a 40 year old working mom of an 11 year old and it excites my son when I’m able to be out running on the beach, out playing in the yard, and able to keep my energy up to be the best mom I can be!!
Looking forward to celebrate 6 months, 1 year, and beyond!! It’s going to be an exciting journey!!!!

I've been going to On Target Fitness twice a week and it's been a fantastic experience. This place was just what I needed! Friendly environment & enthusiastic coaches who push in all the right ways! They were interested in my "why", held me accountable without ever making me feel out of my element, and allowed flexibility to fit workouts in around a busy schedule. The small group model has a great supportive community vibe while still keeping things independent. I can’t say enough about how wonderful and pleased I am with my workouts at On Target Fitness in Portsmouth. There are so many positives. First, the staff is amazing; they are positive, friendly, supportive and encouraging. Second, my workouts are geared to my ability and goals. Third, the coaches provide guided instruction, ensure I am doing the exercises correctly, and offer helpful hints. Lastly, I noticed the pain in my knees are subsiding because my muscles are getting stronger and supporting the functions of my knee. And that is in about 2 months of workouts.
The only con I can think of is that it is hard work to keep your body (and mind) healthy. On Target is helping me do just that!

I’ve never been a gym person, but after recovering from total knee reconstruction surgery, I wanted to get back in shape. All of my gym trepidation was quickly washed away after I began my tailored workout program, saw all the gym equipment I had easy access to because only a limited number of people are there per session, and lastly, the amazing and supportive coaches readily available! I leave feeling stronger and happy that I took the risk to do something for me out of my comfort zone. So happy I joined On Target Fitness!!

If you had told me a year ago that I’d be feeling stronger, more mobile, and more balanced during *menopause*, I would have laughed (probably while trying to move my frozen shoulder). But thanks to the absolute rockstar team of Ryan, Emily, and Sarah, here I am — lifting heavier, moving infinitely better, and feeling like I’ve turned back the clock (at least an hour or two).
Shortly after I moved to Portsmouth, I started researching gyms/fitness facilities knowing I needed to regain strength after an injury, and needed some serious help during menopause. I met with a couple of places, but knew On Target was the one after my in-depth consult. Their questions were thoughtful and everyone was genuinely interested in helping. This gym is the real deal. Ryan, Emily, and Sarah are incredibly knowledgeable, authentic, supportive, and somehow make hard work actually fun. Every client is a friend and a supporter. Every workout is smart, safe, and personalized, and the encouragement they give is next-level.
If you’re looking for a place where you’re more than just a membership number — and where you’ll actually want to show up (even on the days you kind of don’t) — this is it. Highly, highly recommend!

Getting back into a routine and getting my fitness level back has been hard. A coworker told me about to OTF, and I’m so happy she did. I joined right before Christmas and am seeing progress in my sessions. I appreciate their flexibility with scheduling bc I travel about 25%. It’s a great balance between having accountability and not feeling like I’m burning money on unused sessions or missed appointments. I’m also very motivated by the other members. At 46, I’m one of the younger clients, yet, I’m incredibly impressed with how fit the other members in their 60s+ are. It’s a great reminder to take care of your body. Emily, Sarah and Ryan are very helpful. I appreciate their positive energy, particularly in the morning. I’d love to see a 6:30pm session on the calendar and I think they should have guest (client) DJs control the playlists ;-), at least on occasion.

I’ve only been going to this gym for about a month but I’m already loving it. The atmosphere is really welcoming & motivating. The coaches are great, knowledgeable, friendly. One thing I really appreciate is that there’s plenty of space. You don’t feel cramped or rushed. It’s like a big playground for adults with lots of equipment. Highly recommend :)

I joined OTF three years ago. I saw an ad on FB looking for women over 50. I had recently retired from the postal service and was feeling I wasn’t as active as I wanted to be. I was very skeptical about joining a gym, something I had never done before. But I scheduled a meeting with Alec and thought I would give it a try after speaking with him. My #1 question was….how can I get out if it doesn’t work for me. He assured me that I need only give them a months notice and that would be it. I really believed I wouldn’t make it. But!
I am happy to say I’m still here! I’m not saying it has been easy but I am proud that with the help of all the coaches I’m stronger and more confident than I’ve ever been. I’ve gotten to know the OTF family and appreciate how we cheer each other on.

On Target Fitness really is a different kind of gym. The owners truly care about your experience and help you to achieve your goals. My primary goal in joining was to decrease my body fat percentage and regain my strength and confidence.
I have succeeded! I have decreased my overall weight, lost body fat mass, increased muscle mass and become more functionally fit. When I hike a mountain or ride my bike (even after not doing it often), I notice that I am prepared and feel that I am strong and fit.
I enjoy seeing the same dedicated group of people working out regularly and I love the guidance that accompanies the small group training sessions. Even after several years here, the counseling ensures I get the most out of every workout.
Alec, Ryan, and all the staff are dedicated to each and every member and they make you feel like you are an important part of a healthy community!

After trying many diet and fitness programs and failing, I decided to give OTF 1 final shot. 3 months in and I'm shocked at how much I look fwd to going to the gym! I’m a 69-year-old who was once very active, but after suffering from sciatica for several years, I could barely get up and down from the floor. Thankfully, I found On Target Fitness, and it has truly changed my life. After working with their amazing trainers for a year, I can now not only get up and down from the floor with ease, but I’m also able to carry heavy items like my dog food from the car to the house and get in and out of my kayak without a struggle.
The trainers at On Target Fitness are incredibly supportive and encouraging. They create a welcoming environment and tailor workouts to meet individual needs and goals. I’m excited to continue working out here for the next ten years and beyond! I feel stronger every day. I am back to the activities I love, like hiking and cross-country skiing.

On Target changed my life. 55 lbs ago I sat down with Alex to determine my baseline. 7 months later I am stronger, have more energy and have gone from a 3x to a size 12 thanks to Emily and Ryan at the Portsmouth Center. Its not the numbers but it’s the way I feel - the ability to walk, go from sitting on the floor to standing without assistance and having improved quality sleep. Results at On Target are there with consistency, and embracing a total awareness of the impact this has on every aspect of my life- health (chronic pain no more, lower A1C), nutrition, emotional stability and prioritizing self-care. I didn’t think I’d ever be a person who enjoyed, yet alone loved working out. But the three coaches: Ryan, Emily, and Joe have me feeling healthier, stronger, and managing my calendar to try to get in more often. I wasn’t certain why this gym was called OnTarget, however I saw a post for “ women over 50” and that is what attracted me.
I’m 72, I consider myself an active person but I have significant issues with arthritis and I knew that resistance training would be very helpful to ensure that I continue to be active.
I joined in March, three days a week, 5am was the time that worked for me!
I can’t say enough but I will try. There are always two personal trainers assisting and ensuring that you are using the equipment properly to prevent injury, modifying programs for any issues you have, always a friendly greeting, other members are like minded and helpful, supportive and kind.
Often a daily inventive, article, suggestion posted.
All ages, all fitness levels, never crowed and such fun.
Yes, 4:30 comes early but when I walk out at 6:00 am I feel amazing.
Do your self a favor, go check it out, meet the great team and become your best self!

On Target Fitness is easily the most fun and rewarding gym experience I’ve ever had—a rare and wonderful balance of one-on-one coaching (without the heavy price tag) and self-directed experience (without the confusion of a completely self-guided experience). I have never been athletic, never liked any kind of exercise (even if I feel better after doing it, I quit pretty quickly), and pretty much despise gyms.
Then I met Alec. And Joe, and Ryan and Jezreel, and Emily …
I went in with walls up, expecting a hard sales pitch. What I found was a guy who “got me.” Closer to my son’s age than my own, with the Marine Corps background like my son, I felt like Alec was truly listening to me, to what my issues and struggles have been. And while I was reluctant to sign on the dotted line, I went for it.
I’m 8 weeks in, and my time at On Target has quickly become my favorite part of the day. Sure it’s hard to go sometimes because life is busy. But once I get there, my brain in zoned in on my Bridge app and what I need to do that day to get stronger. I look at the app every couple of days to see what I will do the next session, and I get excited to do it! That’s a new one for me
I’m down 17 pounds and in week 4 I was able to stop taking high blood pressure medication that I had been on for four years. I’m also sleeping better, I’m less stressed, and I feel better overall.
These guys (and girl) are amazing, and they’re helping me to feel amazing, by teaching me, encouraging me, and guiding me.

I cannot say enough about how great this program is. I had been looking for somewhere or someone to help me figure out what I needed to do to jumpstart feeling good about myself angain and keeping that feeling. I had tried different diets and fitness classes but nothing really “stuck” for me. It was all short term fixes that never lasted. I didn’t feel supported in the long run. Finding On Target Fitness and joining their small personal training program was the best decision I ever made! Their trainers are extremely supportive and attentive to your personal fitness needs and goals and encourage you and ensure you feel confident and comfortable in your personalized workouts. They adjust your workouts as needed and encourage you every session and beyond with follow up messages and encouragement on off days. The support you have from the trainers as well as the community feeling you have with your fellow trainees is above and beyond what I had believed a program could provide. I have never felt better about myself since joining this group- I’m stronger in so many ways than ever before. This is a great gym!! I’ve been going there for over two years and it just keeps getting better! The coaches are excellent and attentive across the board and their presence is what sets this gym apart and makes the investment worthwhile. I joined On Target Fitness recently, after turning 60. Having had major back surgery a few years prior, I felt my strength/balance/flexibility wasn’t great, and realistically knew it would most likely decline further if I didn’t make improvements. I should mention I’ve never seriously lifted weights or worked with a trainer. In 3 months, I’ve seen improvements in all the areas I had concerns with. Improved strength, flexibility, balance, and overall well being. The staff here is great, full of energy (even at 5am), always there to encourage, push you to do more than you think you can, and to always celebrate your gains!
I took a leap of faith and couldn’t be happier with the results. I’m convinced it’s never too late to make changes and improve your health. I would highly recommend On Target Fitness if you’re looking for a change!

I just finished a few months as a new client at On Target while I was living nearby for the summer. It was the perfect gym experiance for my needs and I wish I lived closer to be able to work with them year round. They are a very special, knowledgeable, caring and empathetic team of trainers and the clientele is a wide range of ages, physical abilities, and body types who are all very friendly and warm so there is none of the insecurity or over the top intensity that you may find at other gyms. The group sessions were the perfect fit for my needs since I have never felt I wanted 1:1 training sessions every time I exercise but also wanted more guidance and introduction to a wider variety of weight training exercises and to make sure my form, technique, and posture was correct while doing them. Overall a very positive experience that I would recommend to anybody lucky enough to live close to Portsmouth.

I've been a member at On Target Fitness for just over a year and I'm very happy with the results. I lost (and kept off!) the extra weight I had been carrying around for a while, and I feel healthier and stronger than I have in a long time. Alec and his staff work with people of all ages and abilities, and they've created a welcoming, fun, challenging atmosphere that seems to bring out the best in everyone.
I've worked with personal trainers at other gyms in the past, and the simple fact is that they just weren't very invested in my progress. The coaches at OTF, on the other hand, design customized training programs and then pay very close attention during workouts. They correct your form (patiently!) so that you get the most out of each exercise and don't hurt yourself, and they challenge you work a little harder as your strength and abilities improve.
It was hard to make a commitment to working out regularly, but I'm very glad I did. On Target Fitness is a great gym with awesome people - I highly recommend it for everyone.

Have been at OTF for 11 weeks and am pleased to be developing strength, balance and joy with support from the program. The Women 50 and older program was advertised, was appealing and has been rewarding. One or two trainers are available to instruct, encourage and feedback so we are doing our exercises correctly and safely. The instructors are great at On Target and the workouts reflect their knowledge and experience. The equipment is suitable for beginner and experienced athletes, and we are able to modify our individual workouts as needed to account for added or reduced intensity based on how we feel on a particular day.
Aside from the Bootcamp workouts, members can schedule Open Gym or small group PT sessions in ‘pods’, which means each member gets their own ultra clean space to train, and the scheduling also lends itself to increased accountability which is extremely helpful on those days where you might normally skip your workout.
The small group PT is highly recommended for members who would like a bit more added focus by the instructors. Small group members get a personalized workout along with personalized instruction, cues, and an extra couple of eyes on form and function during the workout.
When I’m working out consistently at On Target I feel stronger, leaner, healthier and more focused. Another bonus is the community, as we really get to know and support each other, as well as attending regular gym socials and sometimes participating in group activities outside of the gym. These outside activities are zero pressure and completely voluntary only if you’re into the social aspect.

This is small group personal training. Everybody works out at their own level , at their own stations yet you still have that community vibe. Alec, Katie, and Ryan are the personal trainers. They are consistently upbeat, enthusiastic, encouraging, and constantly monitoring each individuals program. Always available to help. You begin on time, and end on time which makes this program very easy to fit into your day to day schedules. I have never had to wait for the previous class to finish up . Joining fitness programs when you are over 50 and out of shape is intimidating to me . I was afraid I would be surrounded by buff 20 something’s and would not be able to keep up but it’s not like that at all… I’m surrounded by all ages who are at all levels doing their own thing just like me. I started at On Target Fitness this past May. I remembered “requesting more info” through the website and I almost immediately got a text from Alec, the owner, asking to set up a time for me to come in and get all the info. I was super intimidated, even coming in for that first meeting but he made me feel SO comfortable. He told me all about the gym and how it works, but he was also really interested on my fitness goals, which made me feel like I mattered, even though I wasn’t even a member yet. That was on a Monday, and the I had my first session on Wednesday and I’ve been going 3 times a week since! Every other gym I’ve been to I’ve felt so inexperienced and intimidated, but I don’t feel that way AT ALL at OTF. All the coaches are incredible and truly have your best interest. They all want you to make progress and succeed in your goals. Having a coach with you during the entire workout to make sure your form is good, you’re doing it right, and even just to ask questions is really great and I never have to feel dumb for not understanding an exercise. It’s really the first ever gym where I’ve felt comfortable and feel like I belong. I also love that the coaches check in on you if you miss your session, not to scold you but to make sure everything is okay. OTF really feels like a family and I’m so happy to be a part of it!

I’m about three months in to working out at On Target and I’ve found it to be the ideal combination of support and personal accountability.
Having individualized/personalized workouts to complete alongside other folks who have their own goals to work towards is motivating. The vibe is supportive and non judgemental.
The coaches are always on the floor and available for questions, but it’s up to you as the client to move through your workout at a pace that’s right for you. I really appreciate having a checklist of workouts to complete each day.
I’ve struggled with other workout dynamics where I become fully reliant on a coach to tell me what to do. At On Target, I’ve gained confidence because I know what’s expected of me, and I need to push myself through it, but there is always someone there to answer any questions I might have. I feel more confident with the different types of equipment, and I’ve done a better job listening to my own body as I adjust weights and intensity.
I’m cautiously optimistic- but this setup really works for me and I am looking forward to having a structured plan for moving my body as we head into the colder months.

I'm incredibly good at three things when it comes to fitness: doubting my abilities, injuring myself, and procrastinating.
My wife actually joined after some research and told me just to schedule a time to sit down with Alec and have a conversation. I decided to take a leap and admit completely to where I was physically and mentally when it came to lifting.
I'm now almost three months in and could NOT be happier. The small class personal training means that someone is keeping an eye on me at all times. Encouraging me to push myself, keeping an eagle eye on my form, and the trainers are almost as excited as I am about the progress I've been making.
I took a leap and pre-paid for a year because I just turned 40 and it's time I do things right and create a long term plan. (You don't have to do it, but it's helpful for motivation if you operate anything like I do.)

When I first signed up I had so many people say, you don’t need to go to a personal trainer, you can just go on the internet and find workouts for free. Guess what, I had already been there, done that unsuccessfully. I need the accountability, the one on one interaction with someone watching what I am doing to ensure I was doing the weight training correctly and safely. I realized quickly that I thrive in the positive support and encouragement that the trainers continuously offer me when things get hard, to do one more rep and not just stop, or to try to lift the next size weight as it gets easier. They never give up on me, so I am working on believing in myself and not giving up on me either.
The facility is super clean, and adequately equipped with all the items needed during small group training, so that everyone has their own space and equipment.
In addition On Target Fitness also includes nutritional support as well, which is key to an overall healthy balanced life style. For me this is the icing on the cake as they go hand in hand.
I can not say enough about my new found training family, I feel stronger mentally and physically after each workout and I look forward to the next.

I've never been a stranger to working out, but I've always had a hard time staying consistent and knowing when I can push myself outside of my comfort zone. When I first walked into On Target I wasn't sure what to expect or understand how it would be different from any other gym or Crossfit experience I've had before, but I could not have been more wrong.

I have been a member of OnTarget for almost 4 years now for so many reasons.
To start, anyone thinking of joining this gym gets a comprehensive assessment from a retired Officer of the Marine Corps, Alec Liberman. That’s humbling right there. Then, based on your personal health and fitness goals, you are given an individualized plan by Ryan Yurisa, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Nutrition Coach, and FMS. These impressive business owners work with you on a personal level that I have never seen in a gym.
They constantly and consistently seek ways to improve the gym, find each persons strengths and help us become fitter, healthier people. They don’t quit.
Face it, we don’t go to the gym with the same starting shape, size, age or mindset. At OTF each person is treated as an individual and the trainers pay attention to each persons goals and needs.
What drew me to this gym was the high intensity, high energy bootcamp workouts. I had also just come off an Achilles surgery and was looking to rebuild strength. What has kept me at OTF is the personal care, the cleanliness throughout the pandemic, the thoughtful messages and gifts, the group activities in and out of the gym, obstacle course race training, the constant encouragement through surgeries and rehabilitation. I could speak at length about all they have done for me. I love this gym. And to be quite honest, when I’m not at the gym because of traveling or my surgery, I cannot wait to get back there. The members are helpful and welcoming and many are now more than just workout buddies, they are friends.
I feel that my money is well spent to ensure my good health and well-being.
I would encourage anyone at any age or fitness level to give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!

I am 50 yrs old and have been a member of OTF for a year now. I had two hip replacements, one in 2018 and the other in 2019. Since joining OTF in 2021 my hip mobility has improved tremendously! I can now enjoy the athletic activities I used to enjoy (walking, yoga, skiing, golf, kayaking) thanks to the strength I have slowly built up by doing the programs the awesome coaches have tailored for me. I have been a member at On Target for many years now, almost from the first day they opened. I know many gyms and fitness companies may claim to be "not just a gym", but On Target really means it and is the real deal. Over the many years I've been a member, they have constantly adapted workout programs to meet my needs. Not just providing variety or switching things up just for the sake of it, but listening to what my body needs and creating custom programs as those needs change. I play soccer multiple times a week, and as I've gotten older I've experienced many different injuries and pains that are new to me and/or have prevented me from keeping active. On Target didn't let me just sit on my butt and let it keep me down. They listened to me explain the injuries I was experiencing and made sure to keep me going by giving specific exercises I could do while recovering. They've even offered me temporary membership upgrades to enable me to take advantage of their custom programs and get the most out of my body during multiple recovery periods. I had recently moved to the Portsmouth area when a great friend texted me and pleaded his case for me to join a gym. Not only was he brutally honest that I needed to start exercising, he researched all the gym options in the area. As a result I joined joined On Target Fitness. Best decision he and I ever made! I’ve been a member of On Target Fitness for 3 years. I joined for a New Year, Stronger You program. I started at this gym because I was looking for something different. A place that would meet me where I was at. A place that I could feel comfortable asking questions and a place that I hoped would prepare me for what I knew would inevitably be hip replacement surgery. I found what I was looking for. The coaches helped design a program for me that would build up my strength while also understanding my limitations. They got me to my surgery and adjusted everything after I returned from 2 hip replacements. My recovery was fast and amazing and the DR and PT attributed much of this to the work I put in before the surgery. That was 2 years ago. My focus at the gym has since changed and the coaches are right there to help me with my new goals. The community is friendly, fun and engaging. I have been making maple syrup since I was 70 years old, 10 years ago. I collect the sap in five gallon buckets that weigh about 40 pounds each. For the last few years I found it harder and harder to manage the buckets one after the other over the six week maple sugaring season particularly snowy here in Maine. When I joined On Target, I was hoping to get strong to be able to run long distances. I was new to running and had lost weight but, I knew, I needed more than just running and controlling what I eat
That was my main reason, I knew of someone who is a member of this gym and she got so strong she looked a totally new person.
My hopes were very high. I have to say that I was not wrong in my decision to joined.
I have been able to run a half marathon thanks to the strength routine that is tailored for me and my needs. I have been a member for 17 months now, my strength have improved my runs are efficient I feel so good when I’m exercising at they gym, even if I feel I cant perform that day, once I’m at the gym my attitude change and I feel full of energy, maybe because the coaches are always pushing you to do your best and understand your needs and they are right there to encourage and help you to reach your goals.
I love my coaches, and did I mention they certify and well knowledgeable? Also last summer had a car accident and my right hand got injured, I was not able to use my hand for a while.
Coach Ryan change my routine and gave me one that was modify for my circumstances, I was able to keep exercising without loosing a beat. This gym is just Great! Plain and simple is a nice community, is like a big family. The coaches alway will greet you by your name and always are friendly and if you have questions they are more than happy to help you.

I'm six weeks in and I already know joining On Target Fitness was the BEST DECISION I made for myself. When I joined On Target, I clocked in at the heaviest weight I have ever been and felt horrible physically, mentally, and emotionally. I've 'been there, done that' with many traditional gyms, trainers, and weight loss programs. Nothing I have ever experienced compares to On Target. ALL the coaches are so supportive and genuinely care about each of us. It truly feels like a family, from the coaches to my fellow members. Also, I truly believe each coach feels my successes are their successes.
The core key is that they keep it simple. Make no mistake, it IS challenging but the reward absolutely outweighs it. I look forward to my sessions each morning and seeing the crew. I can't recall ever feeling that way.
What I find eye-opening is that I'm not focusing on the long-term uphill battle of my weight loss. I'm starting to appreciate each day at a time and celebrating each day's progress. Such a game changer for me.

I have never been the early riser and committed gym member. After being a member at OTF for almost 4 years now, I cannot imagine going back to my old routine. I now love the 5am bootcamps and go almost everyday. It’s my favorite part of the day because everyone makes me feel like I am part of their community and everyone that shows up…matters. I have been a member of this gym for over 6 months now. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who's looking. It has completely transformed my relationship with exercise.
Before joining, I had a Planet Fitness membership that I only used sporadically. I never felt like I had a direction that I was heading in. I would just show up, use a few of the machines for an hour, and then leave until my next visit a few months later.
On Target fixed that for me through their personal training program. Sessions are scheduled in advance, so I don't feel as free to skip workouts on a whim. They tell you up front that they will follow up with you if you go missing for an extended period of time, so that built-in accountability is super helpful for me.
There are general group fitness classes available, but the bulk of this review will be focused on the small group personal training program since that's what the gym prides itself on mostly. Though the boot camps are exceptional and are a great way to break up the week's strength work in PT. Definitely worth the price of admission as well!
The exercises that you'll do in PT are planned out in advance with recommended set/rep counts included. In a small group setting (typically around 4 people including you), the coaches will walk you through your workouts and offer tips on form/technique. They'll also spot you on the tougher lifts - something that I was always shy about in an open gym, so that's a big plus for me. The weights for each set are tracked in an app that'll show you your personal history with each exercise - a nice way to keep track of how far you've come!
Each coach has been extraordinarily professional and friendly. They all really know their stuff and work hard to make sure that I fully understand each exercise + the proper form for them before I begin. They all learned my name from day 1 and greet me at the door at the start of each session. They each have their own distinct personalities and motivation styles, so the opportunity to work with each of them helps keep things fresh from week to week.
The equipment is clean and in good condition. There's plenty of space to spread out in the building to get your work done without feeling crowded by other members (especially nice while we're living with COVID issues).
Finally, the gym owner regularly engages with the members through blogs that offer great fitness advice, seasonal challenges that encourage people to strive a little further with their fitness habits, and occasionally organizing gym socials to get members together casually to hang out. These all help build a great sense of being cared for beyond just being a paying customer. I definitely feel valued which is the biggest reason behind my recommendation here.

I have been going to On Target for just about 7 months. When I started, my top three goals were gain muscle, lose weight, and improve flexibility. The assigned workouts are tailored to help me achieve these goals and then some. I love that I can see my workout ahead of time via the Bridge Tracker app so I know what I'll be doing before I even set foot in the gym that day. The app also allows me to see how far I've come. The gym is very clean and never feels stuffy and crowded. The workouts seem to fly by and before you know it, you're done for the day. The patrons are all kind, friendly and considerate. Most importantly, the coaches are certified and they are not only knowledgeable but they are professional, friendly and fun and really challenge you to do your best and improve each time you work with them. They greet you with a kind, genuine smile and are always available for questions, recommendations, or assistance. I've never once dreaded going to this gym as I have with other gyms in the past. As soon as my clothing started fitting me differently and friends and co-workers were commenting that I looked different, I knew I was hooked. My sleep has improved, my attitude is better, and I just feel better in general. At On Target, I always look forward to working out, being challenged and upping my workouts. The real deal!!
I can't say enough good things about On Target Fitness. You name it, I've tried it: the fads, the fancy diets, the gimmicks etc.. All leaving me with nothing but disappointment and a hole in my wallet. After years of going to other gyms and working out at home one January I was scrolling through Facebook and saw an add for On Target Fitness six week challenge. I read the description of the challenge and also researched the gym. I’m going to be honest I wanted to do it but felt intimidated. I was out of shape and was worried about “ being judged”. I decided to take the plunge. My first day I was SOOO nervous and anxious. I had numerous pep talks with myself and said you can do this. I’m not going to lie the first month was hard for me. When I first visited OTF, Alec & Ryan were absolutely amazing. They were extremely courteous and they seemed to be truly excited for me in regards to getting back in shape and reaching my fitness goals. I don’t think I could have achieved the same results as I did at any other gym. Even though I haven't lost much weight, I gained muscle, lost body fat and in the best shape it’s ever been in a long time. Being accountable for the training sessions I sign up for is key for me. I’ve always been a self-starter, but sticking with something long-term is not one of my strong points because I get bored easily. The coaches have structured the workouts so that you’re not doing the same training everyday and it has kept my interest level high! The OTF members consists of a wide range of age groups and training level, but everyone is just so supportive and friendly. You become friends really quick. I absolutely enjoy this place!

This is my gym! I have been a member for a year and love the people, the culture, the facility and the philosophy here. If you are looking for a room full of machines in front of tv screens, this is NOT the place. I never imagined a year ago that I would have so much success and make so many positive changes...it worked for me because they worked with me, always challenging me and getting me to a better place. Five Stars!!

My girlfriend and I dropped in for a workout during our vacation and it was fantastic. A guy named Ryan was very accommodating for our workout. I would definitely become a member if I lived around.

I've only been going to On Target Fitness for a couple weeks now and must say it has been a great experience! There is an excellent variety of classes with offerings for morning lunch and evening time workouts. All of the instructors have been excellent and both knowledge and personality which makes working out that much better. In the two weeks that I've been going I've already lost 7 pounds. Getting to the gym has become the first thing I think about in the morning not because I have to but because I want to.

Alec and his crew at on target fitness are knowledgeable and well rounded. Everyone from the elite fit crew to the person just starting out can have a fun, functional, and structured workout. The classes are scheduled so that everyone can fit it in to their day. The classes also range from bootcamp to TRX to kick boxing to yoga. There's something for everyone at on target fitness!

Alec and the team at On Target Fitness are welcoming and personable. I've been to many group fitness focused gyms and this is one has something special. The facilities are top notch with everything from TRX to obstacle course work. On a personal note my schedule can get hectic so I really appreciate when classes start on time, get right into it and end on time. Alec and his team bring that level of professionalism to the work out.
