Since I’ve started practicing at Pilates, Etc., I’ve noticed improvements in my overall flexibility, strength, and balance. One unexpected benefit is how Pilates has helped my movement on the pickleball court. More than once, my husband has commented, “I can’t believe you got to that ball!” I can’t believe it either! What a difference to have improved agility and quickness. Nola’s classes are a full body workout. Every class is different and fresh. Pilates is now a regular part of my fitness regimen.

I do Pilates and strength training weekly. I also fit in yoga when I can. Pilates has completely improved my performance, overall wellbeing in general and is a great complement to my other exercise programs. I noticed it the most during Covid when I couldn’t do Pilates much and my body suffered. It was a very important part of my weekly program, and I realized I needed to get back to Pilates to feel “whole” again.
I am a total advocate of Pilates and think it would benefit almost everyone. I am always telling people about Nola and Pilates, Etc. I know many people think it’s more of a female practice, but I’ve had my husband come with me over the years and he enjoys it too. It’s a great overall workout that can be customized in so many ways for all different types of people and their goals.

I attend Pilates two times a week and feel that it has increased my muscle strength and built a strong core. My goal with Pilates is to keep in shape as I age. Flexibility, fascia health and being able to move properly in my 50’s and beyond is extremely important to me. I love going to Pilates at the studio and having someone knowledgeable and experienced guide the class. I not only see a difference physically, I find I am moving better, more aware of posture, breathing and flexibility.

I was looking to try something new when I tried Pilates – I was driving by the studio and saw the sign! I love the mind/body connection, the mindfulness in movement. My core is strong, my balance and posture have improved drastically.

I cannot say enough about the quality of Pilates instruction that I get in Nola's Pilates classes. I began taking private lessons because I had some issues with my shoulder. She gave me modifications so that when I began classes, I was able to fully participate. When it became evident that I would need a shoulder replacement, she concentrated on getting my muscles strong to support my recovery--results were amazing. I was able to get back to Pilates class quickly. She placed me in a restorative class that kept me flexible and began to heal my shoulder surgery. I recently had a new hip and we proceeded in the same manner. My doctor was impressed with how quickly I recovered. When I started playing golf again, Nola gave me exercises to do at home. Within ten days, my golf game improved.
Nola's classes are instructional, never boring. She continues her Pilates education so that she can intoduce new exercises and encourages us to be our best. At 76 I am still quite flexible and can keep enjoying my hobbies of gardening, kayaking and golf. I know that wouldn't be possible without Nola's Pilates classes. She is the best.

I had booked an appt and then became extremely ill with the virus. She left me rude voicemails, emails and texts. Over the top. I understand running a business but this felt harassing and unhinged. When I could finally use my phone and could think clearly, I was very disappointed in the lack of professionalism.

Nola Rocco of Pilates, etc. is a true professional who brings a deep knowledge of Pilates techniques, along with incredible enthusiasm to each class. She cares very much about her students, and with the structure of very small group classes and individual coaching, she is able to keep a watchful eye on everyone's technique with a high level of precision. As a result of consistent Pilates reformer classes at Nola's studio, I have seen marked improvements in my posture, core strength, balance, and agility. The classes are challenging yet balanced, and the wide variety of exercises keeps it fun. If you're on the fence about trying a class, just do it. You'll be hooked :)

The more I move with Pilates the more I want to move. With Nola’s expert instruction I have discovered core strength and stability I did not know I could ever have. It is remarkable to me that Nola’s precision instruction is available here in the Lakes Region. If you are an athlete looking to improve your game, if you are recovering from injury or overuse, if you are in training for a sporting event, or if, like me, you are a busy mother with no time for herself — you need to make time for Nola at Pilates, Etc. Your body will thank you. And when you see abs where no abs have EVER been seen, you’ll know the hard work was worth it!

I can't recommend Nola highly enough. She is a fantastic teacher and trainer and is incredibly skilled, experienced and positive. I studied with her for just over a year before she moved to NH. As a classical musician who is in rehearsals for many hours a day, finding ways to be successful in my own teaching and performance became key after dealing with some overuse problems. My playing has improved exponentially and my teaching is so much more nuanced and creative. I have to give Nola a lot of credit for both! The ideas and skill set she gave me will pay off for years to come. Also, I have to mention that since she left CO, I have not yet found an equally skilled instructor or a studio with such great equipment that is kept consistently clean and well maintained. If you are looking for a great opportunity to study Pilates, start here! You won't find a better place to begin a practice or a more qualified person to continue an advanced practice.

I have had the pleasure of taking Pilates with Nola for over three years. Not only does she possess great knowledge of Pilates, but she really cares for your health and pinpoints areas of need in your body. I've never meet someone with this much passion and caring for others as she has. If you want to see results and start feeling your best, Nola is a wonderful teacher and a beautiful person inside and out.

Nola Rocco is one of, if not THE, best pilates instructors I have ever worked with. I have been doing pilates for over ten years and Nola’s classes are creative, fun, and challenging, and really at another level of teaching. She has an amazing understanding of movement and the human body, and is incredibly holistic in her approach. Before starting pilates, I had a history of neck and shoulder pain, and the private sessions I’ve had with Nola have greatly enhanced the work that I am able to do in group pilates settings and in day to day workouts.

Nola is extremely skilled in her craft. I have upper and lower back issues and am seen regularly by a Physical Therapist. I found that Nola was sensitive to my issues and complements the treatment plan that I receive at PT. I would highly recommend Nola to any patient with ortho issues.
