Funny, been coming here for 10+ years never had an issue or broke rules. Sprained my ankle recently and wore slides because I could not fit my shoe on that foot. Got told I couldn’t work out like that, yet I’ve seen people with braces, crutches, casts and even a woman doing legs with an infant baby in one of those front pouches you wear like a back pack. Good place to work out although I am not a fan of the opposite sex being able to be in the locker rooms. You need to draw the line somewhere when it comes to the “No Judgement Zone” I will judge this permission as offensive and very uncomfortable! Other than that the place is great!

I like the facility clean n large. But yesterday I walked in by desk and there was a beared man with headphones talking very loud in conversation I could hear him that far away. Then workout near him and he continued for 30 minutes. I was gonna confront him. Staff I'm sure could her him and did nothing. This isn't the first time this has happened. I’m extremely disappointed with the treatment my 16-year-old nephew received at this gym. He’s a good kid, simply trying to do the right thing by working out, and I gave him my black card to help him do so. Instead, he was kicked out by an employee who treated him with unnecessary attitude.

Even if he wasn’t allowed to use the gym, the staff should’ve been knowledgeable enough to explain the rules—such as the option for a minor to join with a guardian’s waiver—yet nothing was mentioned. It’s disheartening to see a business that’s supposed to foster community and support good behavior respond with such hostility.

Quite gym not very busy. That being said bathrooms and always dirty or having issues. Also the function room is anything but functional! So many machines and no space for the mats. 3 mats on the floor and there’s no room for anyone else. Yet there’s a completely and always empty 30 mins yellow room with plenty of space but you can only use that room if you’re doing the 30 min workout. Whoever designed this layout definitely doesn’t work out. And there’s chocolate for grabs at the front desk at a gym full of people trying to loose weight ! Very odd establishment in derry pf.. staff has plenty of time to actually make it convenient yet they’re always on their phone or not even in the front to address any issues with

Large! Lots of treadmills, weight benches and cable equipment. Thirty minute work out and advanced equipment room. Friendly staff. Small lockers near workout equipment. Locker room was clean but not a lot of tall lockers.
Plenty of parking. Membership Wifi available.
Update: June, 2020; Friday, Place looks clean, though a few fellow patrons could pick up after themselves. People were wiping down equipment after use, but, not always putting accessories to the cable equipment away when they were finished.A few weight slammers, but, not many.
Update: Tuesday morning 🌄, June 2021; Place is still in good shape! Staff cleaning. I like the equipment.
Update; Wednesday afternoon, January 2022; I was impressed 👍 by the condition of the 🚿 showers. The men's locker room was in good shape.
Update: February, March 2024; The massage 💺 chairs I look forward ⏩ to. Hydro Massage chair was also good.

The Derry Planet Fitness has most of the machines that you would need to stay in-shape. I've been going for over a decade and they keep their machines pretty up to date and facility relatively clean. My only real complaint would be the stretching area is small, it's filled with too many ab machines that aren't typically used by people. I wish they would just get rid of them. Maybe put a Nordic curl bench in their place.

I like to preface reviews of planet fitness with the fact that we have been and continue to visit many, many planet fitness locations all across the country—just to give the picture.

This is by far one of the top best locations we have had the fortune to visit a number of times while in the area. The staff truly makes the place—they are awesome and deserve a shoutout for making this place as great as it is; always a friendly welcome, the place is always immaculate, and always well stocked. Fresh flowers every day from a local business, and just enough seasonal decor. There’s plenty of the various machines and it has a great layout—it’s a great example for planet fitness and such a great gym to get in any type of workout that suits you.

Really enjoyed my membership here, sadly, I discontinued because I set up my own personal gym at home for convenience.
