Be careful with memberships. They are a scam and so are some of the staff and the manager. Thought I upgraded from a classic to a black card. Then decided to cancel membership all together and showed up to location only came to find out they created two accounts and only the classic was cancelled. Cancelled black card (or so I was told by the staff ) and went about my day. 6+ months later get hit with 379.00 charge. Talked to the manager and said there were no notations on the account and that only corporate can do refunds. Corporate verbatim on their automated services state they DO NOT do refunds, only home sites can. So lied to twice. Now I have to go there again and recancel my canceled membership. Find a different gym. Not worth it.

This Planet Fitness needs attention but has friendly service. Has equipment similar to the other PF in Manchester. Less parking than on Huse Rd. A few weight slammers. Lots of cardio equipment.
Equipment I need for my physical therapy is here. The 30 Minute workout area is next to a limited 360° room. Very busy place.
Hydro bed, message chairs and tanning rooms available. Wifi for members.
Update: October 2023; There have been improvements at this PF. New treadmills and cardiovascular equipment. The exercise equipment is more spread out. The broken shower 🚿 stall has been repaired. The men's locker room is in decent shape.
The only issue is the parking 🅿️ lot. The building's owners need to address this! People are literally dumping trash and the parking lot is disgusting! It is probably beyond PF's control but if they are paying rent, then the owners can pay someone to clean the lot up!
Update: June 2024; An associate was picking up the parking lot. It looks so much better! Good 👍 job!
Update: August 2025; I like the leg curl exercises machine. I have not seen it at any other Planet Fitness. I need this to help with my physical therapy. A lot of the ab exercise machines are missing. I inquired with management and I was told they were accidentally taken during the remodeling and they are trying to get them returned.
The men's shower 🚿 area is different from other Planet Fitness' as well. There is more privacy in each shower. The shower 🚿 I used had a hanging shelf.
The shower area and changing stalls were clean 🫧. The stalls could use a few more hooks but the mirror 🪞 had a shelf and there was a place to sit.

Why would you take away so many duplicate machines that were always busy. Now you have to wait to get on some of the more busy machines. 🤦
Also why would you remove 5 different ab machines? They were almost always busy. I guess working out the abs isn't the in thing to do anymore.
Hamstrings aren't required exercises either apparently as they took those 2 machines out as well. But left 1 quad machine and 2 calf machines.
The new machines have a timer and counter which is great except there's no way to reset and if you don't move the weights far enough it doesn't count. So sorry short limbed people.
And the new equipment is less robust so if you max out the weights the whole machine shakes and jutters. It instills a lot of confidence.

This gym has become unbearable. For the past seven months, an older man consistently shows up around 2am, and the stench is overwhelming. It’s not just a mild odor it’s rancid, stomach-turning, and fills the entire gym. Multiple people have complained, and still, nothing has been done. Management clearly doesn’t care about hygiene or member experience. It’s disgusting, and I’m done wasting my money here. Don’t bother signing up unless you’re okay working out in a cloud of filth.

Honestly, it's not a bad spot. The price is right for sure. If there were some changes to be made I'd say they should maybe expand the drink variety a little, add in some free weights, and definitely put a couple benches or tables outside so you have a place to sit and cool off after a hard workout or run. Other than that, it's still my preferred gym.

Customer service here is not the best on top of this membership gym being a scam just to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. I called frustrated as I canceled my membership months ago and moved across the country, but was still getting charged. Sierra, the member I spoke to, instead of de-ecalating the situation made things worse, swore at me acting like she was better than me and hung up due to my frustratedtone. She kept hanging up everytime I called to try to resolve this issue until I was finally able to connect to a manager. Unprofessional and rude. The manager was more professional at least but told me that the Planet Fitness legal team would call me if I tried writing a poor review reflecting my experience. I cannot wait till I can finally get this membership canceled so I can NEVER waste money here again. And to anyone else whom is looking for a gym, don't waste your money here. If you move away they do everything they can to make it harder for you to cancel your membership and squeeze as much money as they can off you.

I've been going to this planet fitness for about 2 months now and overall I've had a positive experience. Parking can get kinda full, but I've always been able to find a spot. The machines are never occupied for super long times. The manager Bobby let me try one of the massage chairs during a promotional they were having, and it was SOO good. Locker rooms are clean, and equipment is in good condition!

I had a disappointing experience with the fitness trainer Jeremy today.

We had a 2PM appointment and he cancelled on me and was only able to sit down with me 4-5 minutes and gave me a general BS workout techniques like how to breath during an exercise and perform “horizontal workouts and push and pull.” He did not walk me through anything that would help benefit my fitness goals at all.

I wouldn’t have been as upset if I was notified beforehand that the appointment needed to be cancelled. I find it to be hugely disrespectful to my time that I value. Trainers (Jeremy) please do better.

I am writing to follow up on Danielle Coplin's review below.

On Friday, 1/3, my stepson was at your facility. He was waiting for a ride in your lobby area and left his backpack at one of the tables. An employee saw this and placed his backpack in your storage room. His backpack contained his school ID, an algebra binder, lunchbox, sneakers, and headband. My stepson received a call from your facility on Saturday, 1/4, which he missed, and no voicemail was left. On Sunday, 1/5, when we realized his backpack was missing, I came down to the facility and asked if anyone had turned in a backpack. The employee who had found the backpack on Friday was working and told me he remembered my stepson and told me about the storage room.

He then told me they had my stepson's sneakers, which were placed on the table behind the front desk. He entered the storage room and came out with his headband but no backpack. He informed me that I was welcome to look for the backpack in the storage room with him. I was then informed that an employee went through all the items in the storage room on Saturday and "took" the bag because "they thought it had been there for a while". I found his lunch box, which had been tossed at the bottom of a cardboard box.

This is not a locker room issue. This is a Planet Fitness employee stealing from a minor/member issue. His school ID was in his backpack. We received a call the next day from your facility, and your employees knew who the bag belonged to. I left my number with the employees at the front desk on Sunday and asked your manager to call me. I also received the manager's phone number, and his mother left a message regarding this the same day. We have received a call back in four days.
I asked your employees to please have the individual return the bag. Hopefully, this still contains his school ID and algebra binder, which contained a year's worth of notes and homework with his name all over it.

I am disturbed by your employee's actions and disappointed by your management's lack of concern. I will file a police report as you have recommended but will indicate that my stepson's property was stolen by one of your employees. Your other employees know or have a pretty good idea of who was working on Saturday and stole the bag. Be better than allowing your employees to steal from a middle schooler. Please do the right thing. I hope to receive more than a generic response to this lengthy post which I was compelled to leave as a review as it is the only way we have received a response from you.

I can't recommend enough that anyone in the military should stay away. They do not have your back!

Had to leave for 6 months of active military service. Club manager (Christina) told me they don't pause memberships and I had to cancel but I could come back at my old rate with no enrollment fees. When I got back I tried to start a membership like she said however the new manager(Bobby) at the club now said I had to start a new membership at new rate and pay any enrollment fees. He was short, a little rude, and tried blaming the old manager saying sorry she lied to me. I don't expect special treatment for being in the military but this seems pretty messed up. I'll be looking for a new gym.

I'll copy and paste their response, however to paraphrase they said planet fittness corporate let's branch managers do whatever they want without intervening which I can respect but why waste my time having me email you if you're not actually going to do anything anyway?

How very “party in the USA” of me to have chosen the WORST possible location to be my “home club.”

Bobby, the manager, has an attitude that is less than desirable and he lacks compassion for others. He tried to charge me for another month of membership after I CANCELLED my membership by mail as I have not been close enough to a PF gym in months… I also want to mention that this club managed to put several UNAUTHORIZED charges on my debit card when I never even gave them permission to use a debit card in the first place. Bobby threatened that if I didn’t want to pay the membership fee for another month then the charge will just be sent off to collections. What comes around, goes around Bobby… have the day you deserve.

Has been my home base for years. Every day I come In the place is always tidy and clean, but the best part is how kind the staff is here Jermey, Ricky, and the crew are all wonderful people to converse with they are super kind and hard workers. Rarely do I write reviews. For me to do so I have to have had an exceptional experience, positive or negative. The staff, namely Jeremy and the manager Bri.. at Planet Fitness on Eddy road deserves this positive review. Sure, I could use all the superlatives (and will), outstanding, wonderful, professional, knowledgeable, competent. What sets this business apart, is 1 they're friendly and welcoming 2. How they're willing to go out of their way to assist, and it's not in an obligatory way, it comes across as friendly, sincere and helpful. And 3.. The facility is clean and well organized Also strongly suggest training. I found out I don't use most of the machines correctly ..Jeremy knows his stuff! Once again, kudos and thanks! It was my first time at this location and even though the front desk staff was busy, he anticipated my question before I asked it (which was relieving) and showed me where the locker room was. After my workout he was extremely patient with me and again took the time to show where the massage chairs were.

The gym is smaller than the ones I was used and felt clustophic at first but after I started my workout I was able to find the machines I needed easily, I was able to relax and enjoy my workout thoroughly and finished earlier than I anticipated.

The locker room, and equipment were clean. I saw many staff, who walked right by me not even acknowledging me, the only one who took the time to speak with me was the front desk employee who was phenomenal.

I understand this has nothing to do with the staff and cleanliness of the gym but the massage chairs are just amazing.
