The worst of the options in the area, it’s all cardio and barely anything to lift. It’s all just spread out with one machine for each muscle focus, which makes this gym frustrating when busy. Waste of time, go anywhere else!!

First winter coming to this gym and I must say this is the warmest gym I’ve ever worked out in. The ladies at the door turn the heat up to the point where it’s unbearable to work out. I bet if I left a cookie sheet out with cookie dough on it I’d have freshly baked cookies in 15 minutes. Go to Dover if you want to stay cool

I’d like to bring attention to a recent experience I had at Planet Fitness that I found quite frustrating. While I fully recognize the role of the lunk alarm and the environment Planet Fitness has intentionally tried to foster in promoting a positive gym atmosphere, an incident occurred that left me questioning the point of being rigid for rigidity's sake and creating the opposite of that environment.

While I was in the middle of my workout, wearing my AirPods, I received an important work call. I ensured that my conversation was professional and discreet—no inappropriate topics, not on speakerphone, no foul language, and not at a raised volume. Unfortunately, whilst handling this call, I was approached by a staff member who was wiping down the machines and asked me to move to the foyer to continue my conversation.

This request felt unreasonable. If I’m not blocking anyone’s way or causing a disturbance, I should be able to manage a brief call during my workout, especially when my time is limited. I totally understand the importance of maintaining the atmosphere at the gym. I 100% understand not letting one person ruin others' experiences by being loud, vulgar, disruptive, sitting on a machine that needs to be used, or even having a bunch of weights that everyone else needs while talking instead of lifting. I did none of those! Those are reasons to ask someone to the foyer, not simply for having a low-volume, hands-free conversation about supplier pricing and P&L postings.

I travel for work and move to new locations constantly. I don’t have a lot of time to find a gym, get a workout in, and, on top of that, stop and move outside to take my call on AirPods because one of the seven people in the gym might hear me speaking in no louder than a conversational tone discussing business.

I wanted to share this for others who might find themselves in a similar position. If you can't completely disconnect during your workout, if you can send every call to voicemail because you have a child, a doctor, or some other entity that may require you to have a conversation, or if you have to take calls about work and don’t have the luxury to ignore the phone or don’t want to stop cooling down and lose the rhythm and pump to take a business call, you may want to think about whether this is the right gym for you Also I attempted to cancel right then and was presented with several hoops preventing me from canceling at the gym

Been a Black Card member for 10 years. Home club is Dover, NH.. and they are great there. I go to clubs all across the country ... Only one. Rochester, NH gives me a hard time every time I go there. "update your profile." "do you have an id?" *Do you have a credit card" on and on and on. I walked out today and will never ever go back to the Rochester, NH club again ..even though it is 1 mile from my house. I would rather drive the extra distance to go to Dover, Portsmouth or Lee. Horrible place with completely unfriendly staff.

I’ve been going here for just over 2 weeks and I absolutely love it. It’s a great atmosphere and perfect for someone like myself that hasn’t been in a gym for close to 10 years. I’m excited to see where my fitness and health journey takes me. If you want to get back at it and take charge of your health then this is the perfect place to get started. Started going here on Fridays to stay away from traffic on 95. Really enjoyed it, but ever since the remodel I will have to find another. 50 percent less equipment now. They used to have two lines of machines in the middle and now there so one single. One pec deck now. Waited my entire workout and never got to use it because it was someone after another. It's good if you want to do cardio.

I'm very happy with this PF location. It's clean, well lit with lots of natural light, and has very friendly staff. It's nice to use their app to read the "crowd meter" to see how busy it is before you go. Tanning beds were also clean!

I typically go to the dover PF, but it's recently been closed and I tried to go to the Rochester PF, but it was closed and had a sign saying 24/5. That wouldn't have been an issue, however I was assured that it was 24/7. This would have fit perfectly in my schedule as I cannot workout during the middle of the day on weekends. I made the drive only to be met by that sign, along with 6 other people that went to dover. I don't understand why there isn't just one schedule for PF supported by all other locations. This is a real issue and the PF schedule just isn't convenient!

I was again stopped at the door and asked to update my credit card which was just charged for both an annual fee as well as the monthly fee actually today as it is the 17th. I was told it had expired, I went outside and got the card linked to my account and it expires in 2027. The woman said it was just for water or whatever, I said I don't need it updated and she told me she couldn't anyway because my home gym is in Dover. What was the point 👉? Other than to ruin my motivation to exercise. I would just like to not be hassled when I go to workout. This is the reason I started going to Dover because of an employee that stalks folks named Meloni. She was caught 2 years ago going into my account writing unfounded allegations and was caught trying to erase notes she wrote by the manager of the Dover PF. Somehow she is still employed at the Rochester location, spare me your nonsense and let me work out in peace 🕊️✌️. BTW 3 people on duty and the bathroom is disgusting , why??

This place is the best gym around. The manager Gage is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Tom, who works Night Shift, is always in such a good mood and very helpful. I haven't met a rude or unprofessional employee there in the entire 7 years I've been a member. The facility is always clean. Tanning bulbs are always changed and massage chairs seem to always be working.

What a nice health club. I often visited here in the fall for the recent restart of my PF membership. The equipment and staff were always there for a great workout experience!! Many of my visits there included some interactions with the employees and I had no problem with any questions or getting other information. All in all the areas were free— no wait during most hours and always provided a clean, safe place to go work out!!
