Second day with the heat broken in the men’s locker room. It’s 25° outside. One of the sinks was totally broken for a month and one had a malfunctioning had dryer for close to a year before it got fixed so there was one working sink during that time. They’re added so many machines to the floor two people can’t pass in the aisle. Pretty sure PF has a big office in Hampton and this place being in their backyard ought to be an embarrassment. But like most businesses, they only care about their customers money, not the customers themselves.

I really love this gym, but the environment has become increasingly uncomfortable. There’s a member who frequently sets up in front of the mirrors, flexes for photos with young women behind him, and shows little regard for those around him. He tends to dominate the space, creating an aggressive and unwelcoming atmosphere for others.

This behavior does not reflect the “Judgment Free Zone” that the gym promotes. I’ve reported the issue to staff but have not received any response, so I’ve ultimately chosen to take my workouts elsewhere.

I have been coming here for years. I prefer this club to Portsmouth and will travel to this Planet Fitness or visit if I am in the area.
I like how the renovations have turned out. It looks like a cross between the Portsmouth and Derry Planet Fitnesses. There are more weight benches. It seems more spaced out and open. A fitness area has been added. I noticed equipment aimed at women so now women have machines aimed at specific areas and they don't need to use the weight benches to perform the exercise.
The men's locker room looks better. The sink has a soap 🫧 dispenser and hand dryer attached to the faucet. You have to be careful of the water splashing back 🔙 at you.
The massage and hydro chairs, along with the tanning beds and booths, have their own separate area. I like the hydro chair more than the bed. I prefer the massage chair 💺
The only issue I have is the 30 Minute Workout area. It is much smaller and missing a couple of machines. The leg 🦵 curl is back! It is the same model at the Ft. Eddy Road PF. They also have free chest press weight benches.
The staff is friendly and they check the cleaning stations. There were a few weight slammers.
I recommend this Planet Fitness.

Without going into detail, I had such a possative experience with the woman that runs the desk at Planet fitness in Stratham this morning. Her name is Jennifer, and she was extremely helpful and courteous. If only everyone in customer service was as kind and helpful as Jennifer, this world would be a better place. By far the best planet fitness I've ever been to. They actually have squat racks. I can do deadlifts, squats, and bench there without those terrible smith machines. Very clean, great equipment. Still too many cardio machines and the purple scheme is brutal but hey, it's got squat racks.

Not happy with latest Aug remodel. 2 issue.
1) hip Abductor machines reduced to 2. Was 4 before. Can never get on, always occupied.

2) no open floor space to do body weight exercise. Moved the open area to small room. Half the area that was before.

Planet fitness is the biggest scam in the world. They make it sound so cheap when signing up, then charge you an annual fee of $50 on top of already paying $25 a month. Then when you go to cancel, they charge you AGAIN! THEY CHARGE YOU TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP! And then they make it impossible to contact anyone in corporate that isn’t a desk attendant. I’ve been going to planet fitness for so long and I’ve finally had it. Planet fitness is not worth anything more than $5 a month.

Planet has changed a lot over the many years I have belonged. I don’t mean necessarily for the better. The Judgement Free Zone only seems to apply if you’re in to free weights, squats and like going to a GYM. The Express workout room keeps having fewer and fewer stations. Today we went, the machines have been mixed in to the overall floor and the steps ups are gone. I’ve have been working out for 40 years. It used to be nice to have an area away from all the Free Weights. I am really disappointed.

Went into the gym today around 11:00 am. I di not have my phone on me and had approached the front desk to check me in via my phone number/name. The woman at the desk was less than pleasant that she had to interact with me. She asked if I had my phone or needed a new tag, obviously wanting to give me the message that any type of social interaction on her part was not wanted. She had told me "she was busy". She made it painful for me pretending not being able to find me by number or name. I told her "I had all day. Take your time". This is not the person you want at the front of the house in any business. I get it that post-covid, people do not even know how to communicate with each other. My message to her is, if you don't like your job, or cannot be pleasant enough to work behind the front counter, get another job.

Ok overall, needs barbells though instead of smith machines. Clean facility, friendly staff.
Update - no change, still the same just a change in hours. No longer 24x7, they are now open 24hrs Mon - Thur. Close at 10 on Friday night and then 7-7 on sat and sun.

After a complete renovation that took several months to complete, the facility re-opened in December. Thought it was strange and an oversight that I was never notified from the corporation that it was back in operation. Ever hear of email?
It’s much more spacious, accentuated by a newly painted white ceiling and a wall of mirrors. A bank of suspended flatscreens overlook 140+ machines that will satisfy anyone’s needs. They have yet to connect the screen selections to the machines, a work in progress I’ve been told. The bathrooms are stunning. It’s good to be back.

It is horrible how the Staff talk to and about the Clients/Customers at Stratham Planet Fitness. We go so we can try to do better for ourselves and feel better about ourselves. The insults about the people, the making fun of people is NOT necessary. Just because I moved from the Front Desk area doesn't mean I can't hear them making fun of me and others at that Gym. You know WE pay your wages! If it weren't for us, you wouldn't have a job behind that desk. The Staff needs to show more respect. I know people can talk bad about others, or make fun of them - but do it behind a closed door. Show some respect and courtesy!!!!

staff is helpful and friendly, the cleaning and maintenance of the gym is kept up with and you do see staff doing this, the equipment I have also never had to deal with being broken as some gyms you will have a machine that is waiting to be repaired. this gym also recently updated the hydro beds and the new ones are nice, the wellness pod is a fun touch for this location too as a lot of PFs do not have these. also staffed 24/7 besides 1-2 am for full cleaning and holiday hours are available. <3

There is very limited equipment here, no free squat bars and few full true length mirrors to check form. It’s often very overcrowded, and the showers do not get hot at all. It’s definitely a “budget” gym. Also if your an attractive female, you will most likely be stared at throughout your workout by old men. Yikes!

There are so many things that I like about this place it's hard to know where to begin. I like that almost every location I've visited has a pretty low key vibe. And it's cool that with a black card membership you can go to any PF location. I like that it's open 24 hours. They have so many different things to do that I always end up staying too long. I definitely don't feel judged by other patrons. It's generally very clean and all the machines have pictorial instructions on how to use them properly so there is no need to feel out of place. It's a good value.
