Fantastic! Our daughter started here when she was 4, and it was immediately clear that the owners' passion for ballet and teaching is beyond genuine. The classes and events are extremely well-run and organized, and the student-teacher ratio even in pre-ballet classes for young kids is amazing.

Our two daughters have both started their dance experiences with Portsmouth School of Ballet. We are going into our 6th year and are continuously blown away by the attention, love, and technical skills provided to our children by Ms. Emily and her teachers. The girls not only feel seen, but they are truly learning ballet foundations skills that they bring home! We see their beautiful arabesques and across the floor skills in our living room and our beach! But additionally I love hearing, "Good pace Vivi!" or "Wow your toes touched the back of your head Heidi!" so the confidence and encouragement to each other and their friends is what I love as a parent. We love the additional skills like tap or hip hop and all of PSB's recitals have been so professional and wonderful to be a part of! Thanks you PSB!!!

Our daughters have been going to PSB since they were 2 ½ and they are now 6 & 9. They love going to classes and especially look forward to being in the Nutcracker every year. They have learned so much and really look up to the older dancers. It’s a great community!

I have two young girls who attend classes at PSB and they both love it! The teachers are fantasic. Our oldest just completed her first year as part of the Company, and she can’t wait to be even more active in it this coming year. Both girls started participating in The Nutcracker three years ago, and it’s been a joy to watch them perform and progress in their roles. The Nutcracker has become our new annual family tradition around the holidays, and it’s what first drew us to PSB.

My daughter has been dancing with PSB since her toddler years. Ten years later and we are still at PSB and now she is in her fourth year of company. The instruction has met where she is at over the years and helps her to grow in her technique and strength as a dancer and it amazes me how far she has come. Ms Emily is always communicative and she and Mr Ilya as well as the entire PSB staff bring skill and passion to their teaching which has really inspired my daughter. I’ve been at Portsmouth School Of Ballet [psb] since I was two in a half. Coming from a graduate it couldn’t be more of a better place to go dance. We enrolled our 3 year old in pre-ballet to see if she would enjoy it. She may act bashful entering the class but more often than not I get to sashay through parking lots holding her hand now. All 4 of my kids currently attend PSB and absolutely love it. 2 Girls and 2 boys, dancing ballet and hiphop. The classes are awesome, the opportunities to dance in the Nutcracker and other productions is amazing. Ms Emily is fabulous and they make ballet fun for the kids so that they want to work hard and get really good at it. Our family recently moved here. My 8 year old daughter wanted to join another competition team and PSB welcomed her with open arms. I took an amazing ballet class at this studio over the summer while I was visiting friends, family, and fellow dancers. PSB offers reliable teachers, friendly staff and students. They use the Vaganova Method of Ballet and the teachers work indavidually with students and won't move on until the majority can perform a combination well.
Miss Robin noted that my sister was the youngest in the class and focused on advancing her skills and btushing everyon else's up.
