Somerset is more than just a gym — it’s a supportive, welcoming community. The staff are friendly, warm, and genuinely care about your health and personal fitness journey. I started going in April, having never worked out before, and I was honestly nervous. But from day one, Steve and the entire team made me feel safe, comfortable, and encouraged. They meet you where you are with kindness and zero judgment. I can’t recommend Somerset enough — it’s been a life-changing experience!

Fantastic gym! Clean, welcoming environment with plenty of equipment and space. I’ve been training with Brian, he’s super knowledgeable, motivating, and really focused on helping me hit my goals. Highly recommend this place, especially if you’re looking for a great personal trainer like Brian!

I have been a member of Somerset Swim and Fitness for 7 years. I've used all the facilities from the cardio and weight rooms to the salt water pool and hot tub. The equipment is plentiful and well taken care of and the staff is friendly and very helpful. The pool is very clean and has good instructors that can teach anyone to swim. They also have knowledgeable personal trainers that can help you achieve your goals. It's a great place to workout!

I’m a college hockey player, I’ve been working out here for a little over a year now. Staff is great and the gym is nice. I would recommend the gym to anyone looking for a quiet place to workout with minimal distractions.

I wish I could give them a lower review. I have been a member for almost a year now due to my contract for what I thought was a nice gym when I toured. First few times going was nice. This place is ridiculous the pool is open to the hotel members which is fine understandable. But I pay extra on my membership to use the pool. The people who work here don’t care if anyone follows the rules of the pool. Kids in the hot tub so much so that I couldn’t even get a seat with a jet, splashing roughhousing jumping into the pool. Drinking in the pool and not even the reserved swim lane for gym members is safe from kids. I was jumped on or ran into several times. This isn’t just during busy hotel seasons nobody follows pool rules or etiquette anytime. If you’re looking for a relaxing hot tub after your workout or a quiet place to get your swimming in look somewhere else. The people who work here could care less about the rules as long as everyone is paying to be here.

WARNING to anyone considering joining this club. I have a chronic illness and can no longer go to the gym or use their pool. I have a doctors note to that effect. I was told they would not let me cancel my membership. I had to pay $400.00 for the remainder of the unused membership. This is like a trap with no way out of the contract even with extenuating (medical) circumstances that are out of my control. Do not pay in advance or trust them with your credit card data. They operate their business like scammers.

I just recently joined the swim only membership and I couldn't be happier! The couple rate for a year works out to only $15.00/week and it's the most relaxing and safest way for me to get exercise without stressing my joints. It's very clean in the pool, locker, and dressing/shower areas. The pool and jaccuzi are at optimum temperatures. So far, it's not been crowded and the staff is very friendly and inviting. I consider my
new membership a good investment for my health and mental wellbeing. I highly recommend this for those looking for a fun and gentle way to exercise or just to get some down time for yourself, away from the stress of every day living. I'm so glad I did! BTW, a salt water pool is good to help with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, etc. It's gentle on your hair and skin and won't bleach out your suit or towels like chlorine does. It's the ONLY salt water pool in the area and it's an added benefit that I never knew existed until now.

I've been a member of Somerset since 2019. I've been training under Steve (one of the club owners), use the equipment 2-3 times a week and interact with the staff every visit. I can't say enough good things about the experience. The gym is clean, the equipment is all new as of December 2022, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and I've seen great results from the training. The gym also has a salt water pool and hot tub which were recently re-done.

This club is horrible. I asked to cancel several times after being stalked leaving this gym. I had to send over my active restraining order which is embarrassing enough and asked if I not be billed any longer and Steven said he couldn’t refund me for previous months, understandably. However I haven’t gone there since I was followed, and that was over a month and today was charged again, even tho twin oaks said they can refund me for this charge if the general manager Steve or owner Matt allowed it. He told me he’s going to continue to charge me for future months and not work with me as I’m crying on the phone and I’m in a horrible situation. Please think before joining this gym. I hope these men don’t speak to their wives or daughters like this. Is disgusting.

I started as a member at Somerset back in February of 2021 and I am very pleased with the club for various reasons. Since my membership, they’ve consistently updated the aesthetic of the club. Brand new carpeting and tile work makes the place look stunning and fresh. Brand new, quality, workout equipment and machines keep the exercise routines new and expansive. The pool and hot tub are set to a perfect temperature, and my favorite experience is drying off in the dry sauna in the locker room. The staff always seems to work hard keeping everything for the most part operating.

I love my new gym! The saltwater hot tub and pools are amazing, I feel so unbelievably clean and soft after going in the hot tub. The gym has nice equipment, the treadmills have virtual screens to walk thru different countries/destinations which I really like. They even say they are updating the equipment which is already nice. The locker rooms are nice as well, alot of privacy. The saunas are separated by gender which is nice, are are in the locker rooms which just feels convenient. Just be aware you have to pay $1 for a towell, so bring your own if thats a issue for you. This gym is definitely worth the money.

I had a cheaper membership to this place, allowing limited access to facilities. When Covid struck, access became by appointment only and it became very difficult to come. Things changed after that and upon asking for a refund for an unused portion of the fee, I was told that my membership has since expired and so tough luck, no refund. At no time, in all those years, has anyone ever mentioned membership expiry date. An ungenerous and shabby treatment.

We love Somerset for the kids swimming lessons! Audra was amazing with our 6 year old daughter! Our daughter is super confident now in the water and we have loved watching her develop her swimming skills. Eleanor is also amazing and always stayed on top of our swim lessons and packages making sure to offer us additional lessons when the time came. Thank you both so much!

Staff is excessively unprofessional. My mother in law paid $15 for a day pass and after only 45 min in the pool they kicked her out because pool use was only in 1 hour increments due to COVID. There wasn’t anyone else entering the pool for the next one hour block and they kicked everyone out and pool stayed empty. It was not communicated at time of purchase that there was a time limit and what equated to $20 an hour for the pool was crazy. The staff made it seem like they were being inconvenienced by having guests. 2 other parties that were at the swim and fitness center also complained about the woman working the front desk.

Somerset SF is a nice smaller gym so you get to know the "regulars" and staff better. No judgement, just come as you are. They have done an exceptional job reopening during this pandemic. I'm sure a lot of work went into creating a new portal to sign up for the use of the gym and water aerobics. If you need help with the portal, just give them a call and the staff will help out. They make sure people are safe, creating protocols to keep the gym open for our benefit. The saltwater pool and jacuzzi recently received a new facelift which makes these enjoyments that much more delightful! Sign up today! You won't regret it! :)

Great staff that always goes above and beyond for their members. Extremely mindful members that make the experience much better. Having access to a pool that normally isn't crowded is a huge plus. A day pass is fairly priced for what you get, I enjoyed the warm salt water pool and relaxing in the hot tub. The sauna was a nice way to end a quiet afternoon. Friendly staff.

I can't say enough about how awesome my experience has been at Somerset! The club is very clean and the staff is ultra friendly. It has excellent fitness equipment and I never have to wait to use a machine. The pool is never crowded but I mostly use for the fitness area and hot tub. Other members are also very friendly and respectful. Nothing but high marks and lots of love for this place!

I was locked in on year long membership, locker room always disgusting and dirty. I stopped using pool and hot tub...disgusting random hotel guests use it duri,ng weekend. I also made the mistake to get locked with personal training, I had the option in writing to lower personal training sessions but they refused to allow this. Highly doubt trainer had current certification to train. Don't give them your credit card or bank account info. They will charge you even if you tell them not to. I tried to reduce my training sessions they did not allow this even though I had it in writing. I should be talking to a lawyer not just posting this.

I recently moved to the area and joined Somerset Swim and Fitness, I love this place!!! It has all you need to workout, relax and even more...Cardio room, weight room, stretching room, pool, hot tub, massage therapy, personal training and even Starbucks in the same building! All I need to kick my day off to a good start!
Staff is amazing! It is a smaller place, but that is what I like about it! It's very personable and has an atmosphere of a spa/wellness center rather than a big gym full of people.
I didn't even know such places exist until I moved here! Great place!

People do private swim lessons at night and the lady is rude. It is general swim time not class time. If she is going to give people who pay good money to use the pool a hard time she should reserve to close the pool. Other wise I am going to swim. The pool floor gets extremely slippery. This should be fixed before someone falls. Large hot tub. No handicap access except through the main hotel. The staff is good. The gym itself is small. No family restroom for people with kids over the age of 6 that may still need help.

I used to think this club was great! My household only has one car and is on limited income. Job issues arose and I had no choice but to cancel my membership. I was told that I couldn't cancel but could freeze my account and still have to pay! Sorry but I'm not pulling food out of my families mouth so they can take my money! They're loop holes every where they just refuse to use them!!! Unfortunately it makes you select a rating I would rate them a zero but it won't let me. Don't go here they don't understand that life happens!!!!

active club user since Oct 2015 and I really could not expect more out of a fitness club. Staff is on point, pool is warm and clean, I have never seen it over crowded and equipment is always working. I had a minor complaint to the staff about a member on a cell phone and they addressed it right away! I think they do a great job. Thank you Somerset Swim and Fitness :)
