Absolute horrible management. Women who answers the phone for Portsmouth location (unless it's all the same) is INCREDIBLY rude and have noticed there is consistently a ton of background noise. I sure hope this is not a reflection of the companies professionalism. As I still hold a membership, I am definitely currently looking for better managed gyms. See the potential, but definitely feel as if I am not the first person to come in contact with such a rude response for something I spend my well earned money on

This gym is great - spacious and rarely crowded and a ton of weights and machines to diversify your workout. I previously rated 3 stars based on the lack of cardio equipment, but the gym is listening to its members and making substantial upgrades with all new treadmills, so changing my rating to 5 stars. Thank you, Vanguard Management, for making these improvements!

This is the best gym in the area for a traditional gym set up. What it lacks in amenities and classes, it more than makes up for in quality gym equipment, 24/7 convenience and affordability at around $45/month.

When first moving to Portsmouth, I tried most gyms in the area and found Vanguard fit my needs the best. Proud to be a member now for over a year.

I love that the gym is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Has all the freewieghts and machines that meet my needs.

Clean club. It's stocked well with equipment to hit all muscle groups. Was skeptical about how clean it / managed it would be due to the keyless access, but happy to say the current gym members care enough to keep things clean and organized throughout the day.

I dig the new location, with plenty of parking ( I go mid mornings weekdays) Gym is always clean, very nice equipment, would love to see the rower fixed though

I love the 24 hour access and the diversity of equipment. But everytime I come in here, I cannot get over how hot it is. I talked to the owner about it one day and he told me that no one else is complaining. Which is not true. This place would be so much more bearable if it had AC. One day it was actually blowing heat.

The AC has been broken in the Portsmouth facility all summer 2023 and management's response was that they were moving locations next year do they were not going to fix it. Also there is a mouse running around...

A real gym with real weights; not a social club like too many. You can work out on your schedule with like minded lifters. A key entry card lets you come and go 24 hours a day. Love Vanguard, great way to start your day.

A fine commercial gym. Most members untrack their weights, few put them away correctly. Plates and dumbbells are disorganized. Some of the trainers have awful gym etiquette, which they pass onto their clients. It's pretty clean, in a convenient location, and parking is easy. It's certainly not meant for the serious lifter, but it works.

This is a key club gum meaning no attendants are around. You might see trainers who are always helpful but in order to contact the owner you need to go thru the website. The gym is cleaned daily but sometimes members are gross and don't clean up after themselves. If you want to get in, work out and not have any judgments come to Vanguard.

this company ripped me off! cancelled a membership 6 months ago, and called repeatedly. finally call me back and tell me "too bad"

facilities are a basement style, with half functional equipment, audio didnt work on almost every machine. smelled horrible, and no customer service!

go to planet fitness, or any other place for that matter.

Having 24hrs Key Entry is Great! I have been a member for almost 4 years now. It may cost alittle more then those other guys..but you get your money's worth. I recommend Vision to all my friends.
