Great facility... Very clean. I have been here a few times. You can't beat the membership pricing here. 1 membership access to all Vanguard key clubs. York Me , Newburyport MA, Dover NH, Portsmouth NH, Hampton NH. Kingston NH. There are clubs across the seacoast, so no matter where you live or on you're commute you'll find a facility. Kingston is one of the newest locations. It's not very busy at all. The owner plans to add additional free weight equipment soon, however you can get a great workout people so far are more than willing to share equipment or just a friendly word and they finish up and let you do your thing. Lots of cardio and fixed weight machines on the other side and a great stretching/boxing/yoga room private from other parts of the gym. Something for everyone.

Update: Another member has posted a review about the smell from the water. My original post didn't mention this because it wasn't too bad but I made sure not to use the water in any way because it smelled like sewage. I assumed at the time it was because of the fire in the restaurant a few doors down. According to the post referencing this, it seems like the problem has grown 🤔

No complaints about other locations, but the Kingston location of Vanguard consistently reeks of poop throughout the whole gym. It doesn’t matter what time of day you go. it makes it almost impossible to workout as you are essentially gagging the whole time. In addition, within 15 seconds of turning the shower water on the water starts emitting an absolutely foul sewer odor. Absolutely impossible to shower unless you want to get sick. Staff was contacted about this weeks ago without any reply.
