I love climbing here, the staff are always so nice and they want to teach you and see you improve as a climber. Even other climbers there are always willing to give you advice if youβre open to it, or belay for you if youβre a solo climber and want to do something other than the auto belay routes. I havenβt been lately due to unrelated injuries, but Iβll get back there when Iβm able.

Absolute rip off. Takes your money then tells you the ropes for kids aren't working. What a joke of a place. What kind of ownership can't have a way to pull the wires down when let go. The girl working was completely useless and full of nonsense.

Nice climbing gym. Many different walls to climb with varying difficulty levels and inclines, as well as many kinds of hold shapes. Bouldering area is nice but not the biggest I've seen. Staff is always helpful and friendly.
Update:
After going to Mass gyms, I lowered by rating from 5 to 3. I don't like the colored tape method, actually, I hate it. All Mass gyms I've been to (about 4 now), have colored holds for each route.
I honestly don't know why VD doesn't just take down several routes and a time, and collect the holds by color, and rebuild the routes with only one color.
Also, I took another star off because the place is honestly pretty run down. Several boulder routes were incomplete. We came across loose holds (which can be dangerous). They just stopped having holds at the end of the route, missing or hard to see tape, etc. There's really no excuse for that.
I wish new a new owner emerged and revitalized this gym and brought it into 2024 climbing standards. Tape colored holds is very much the OLD way of doing things.
I would gladly pay $5 more per visit on the day pass, and it would still be cheaper than mass gyms.

Nice staff, decent gym for the price, and setting is ok. What is not ok is not having enough staff to control a birthday party my entire time there kids were running around the bouldering area with no sense of what is around them. It seemed like the staff didnβt care about that and the parents had no knowledge of climbing etiquette and why you shouldnβt let your kids run directly under someone climbing. As luck would have it I fell on a kid then the parent proceeded to claim that I was at fault but it is not my responsibility to look after your kid. This leads me to believe that the parents and the children lacked an orientation explaining why itβs a bad idea to run under someone climbing.

I've bouldered at a number of gyms and these climbs are poorly set. Small section and having to look at the tape color on every hold is not ideal. Color coded holds are much easier to follow. Staff was friendly. My friends rentals were torn open in spots

My 10 year old son had a birthday party at Vertical Dreams Nashua this afternoon. It was fantastic, start to finish. The staff gracefully managed a rowdy bunch of very excited kids, and safety was clearly a priority. I wouldn't hesitate to go back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to the trampoline park. Five stars!

I feel bad about doing a negative review, especially when the front desk was nice. The bouldering section was just too small, and the floor isn't padded so you have to move around crash pads. When a lot of people try to boulder, it's easy to run out of crash pads even if there was room to climb, and I personally just don't feel as safe with crash pads compared to gyms with padded floors. Knowing that some of the floor wasn't padded did not help considering that the climbs didn't flow well in my opinion. Additionally, they had a much smaller assortment of campus boards/workout equipment, and didn't even have the bench cubbies to store your stuff. It also felt less clean than other gyms, though that may be down to the lighting and the old walls they use.
It is much much cheaper though ($15 compared to $27 elsewhere when you don't need gear) and again, the staff was pleasant.

When here with a group of friends to get my first taste of climbing and loved it! The belay class really helped me feel more comfortable climbing especially for my first time. And there was also a self belay there if you didn't bring a buddy. Lots of different walls and difficulties with even a boulder and hand boards. All in all I will be coming back here!

Great old-school climbing gym at a great price, severely hampered by short staffing. Please have more than one person on staff during a weekday evening rush.
I went here for the first time with a couple friends who had been there before. We bought our day passes and tried to take a lead test, and ended up waiting for ~1 hour 15 minutes because the only staff member there physically couldn't split his attention that many ways and had to keep jumping around to sign people in, give intro safety lessons to others, etc. We ended up giving up on the lead test which was unfortunate since I came up from Boston because the shape of the walls looked like it'd be fun on lead.
Don't lose the forest for the trees. We got some great exposition on the importance and variations of clipping techniques, but then didn't have time to do much of anything else let alone actually take a lead test. Consider hiring more people, drawing in volunteers with free membership to have more hands on deck, or limiting capacity based on staffing. Otherwise the shortfall causes both service and potential safety issues.

I loved it. This was my first time doing Indoor Rock Climbing. If I had any suggestions, it would be to actually offer a class for beginners on how to rock climb. The other would be to have larger foot holds. Those of us with large feet have trouble using the footholds!

I really enjoyed my time at Vertical Dreams but one major thing that threw me off is the odors and cleanliness of the place. The first thing I noticed was how STRONG the smell of body odor and sweat was when I walked in. I powered through and eventually got used to the smell and had a good time. Other gyms I have been to are better maintained and I have not gotten my nose assaulted the same way. The workers there are super nice and made everything very enjoyable. They are knowledgeable in anything related to climbing.

Very nice facility and super friendly staff. I was in town for work and visited the local climbing gyms and this is the only one I would actually get a membership at! I went from working here for many years to being a paying customer, which provides me an opportunity to finally leave a 5 star review! :)
Vertical Dreams has the best setting of any rock climbing gym to which Iβve ever been. The grades accurately correspond with outdoor climbing most of the time, which is awesome for training purposes. Also, the prices are insanely fair! If you didnβt know, you can leave and come back when youβve purchased a day pass ;). $11 (student rate) for all day climbing? Sign me up! The whole community here is wonderful, too. Both employees and members are super welcoming and friendly. This is the place where lasting friendships are created!
No matter what level of climbing youβre at, this is the gym for you! I canβt recommend Vertical Dreams highly enough :)

We had a great time here. Got a Groupon for two, and had a blast. Although it was a little busy, there were plenty of places to climb. We are beginners, so there were places we climbed easly and many that challenged us. There were even some that we didnt dare take on. The staff was great! I'd recommend giving this place a visit. Wear shorts, a water bottle, and bring a lock to lock you things up in a locker.

Everything about this place feels outdated. It's small, dirty and dark, with old equipment. The boulder area is really small and the crash pads seem like they're stuffed with tissue paper. Route setting is nothing special and actually feels lazy at times. Nearly every route feels the same- strong moves on bad greasy crimps. I feel like they have never washed their holds because the really feel old and greasy. They really need to step things up and update a lot of things here they can compete with modern climbing gyms.

VD in Nashua has a good variety of walls and routs, and is targeting mostly somewhat experienced climbers. But newbies at bouldering, as well as the kids will also find some nice routs for their level. VD has shower and locker room (bring your own lock if you want), lounge room, to get some rest, and of course rentals. They can teach you basic stuff about belaying and climbing, if you need.
It feels great there on weekdays till 6, evenings and weekends are quite busy.

Vertical Dreams Nashua is a great spot for climbing in Southern NH. There is extensive toprope climbing on textured walls. The bouldering area is small, so if you're interested in bouldering go to the Manchester location or Pawtuckaway State Park. The routes are updated frequently enough that you can try something new each week, but not so quickly that your favorite routes are taken down too quickly. Compared to many gyms in the Boston Metro area, the pricing is reasonable and membership has good perks.

We went this past Saturday (June 17) with a group of boy scouts. Everyone had a really great time. Instructors explained all the safety requirements, we did some practice runs, and then we were off climbing. The instructors stayed engaged with everyone as we used the facility, double checking that we were following all safety precautions. There was a good mix of climbing walls - everyone was able to make it to the top from a few different starting points. Well worth the trip!

I am new to rock climbing and this place is beginner friendly. They make you take a getting started lesson that's about 30 minutes vs other places that make you take a 3 hour course. They already have the carabineer set up so all the belayer has to do is to attach that to their harness. There's a wide range of top rope walls and they have a decent size bouldering section. The staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to answer any question you may have.
Only con would be that the tape that marks the path are worn out and falls off sometimes. Thus making it more difficult to follow a path.

Love this place! I've been going to the Manchester location for a while and only checked out the Nashua location (the old Boulder Morty's) in the last few months. It's a bit bigger than the Manchester location, has a greater variety of routes, and texturized walls. I have yet to check out the bouldering area, but it looked pretty decent from what I saw. The staff is also awesome, and always willing to offer advice on equipment or how to complete a route if you ask.
