White Mountain Athletic Club is a great bonus when it’s included with your local hotel stay. The facility is clean and comfortable, with a small indoor pool that has a lap lane, plus two hot tubs, a steam room, and a sauna room. There’s no outdoor pool in the winter, but it’s still a perfect spot to unwind. They provide towels and even have plastic bags for your wet swimsuit, which is a nice touch. Overall, an excellent place to relax and recover after a day of skiing or playing hockey.

Good facilities but a very bad experience for the pool. I went with 5 of my friends and we were all 14, and we even had my friends sister who was 18, but the lady at the counter said we needed someone over 18 because the age difference was too low? So we called one of our parents to come and when they finally arrived the lady told us it was 3 people per adult so we had to call another one of my friends parents to come over. When they finally arrived we weren’t allowed to use a ball despite the small amount of people there. All of that cut down a lot of our time and we were not able to enjoy the pool much.

Staff need training on customer service. As a guest I pay to be here and be a "member", staff should have training on how to treat "guests" or also known as "non members". Had the cops called on me because the front desk staff don't understand that their job is CUSTOMER SERVICE and not "I'm a cop you will be a prisoner at this facility unless you show me proof of membership." Seriously this resort needs to give training on how to speak to guests instead of "guest is frustrated? Call the cops." They really do not like children playing or having fun. It’s immediate grounds for bad customer service.

It has a country club feeling, without the nice equipment. I like the atmosphere, but it feels super stuffy and hot in all the rooms except for cardio here. The hours of operation are unbearably short, too.

Awesome place for the family with indoor pool and hot tub. The 3 tennis courts are fantastic for winter season playing. Great lockers rooms with steam room and sauna. Great workout equipment and cardio.

Poor attitude and rude staff. Lack of leadership and management oversight. Requested to hear from their manager three days ago, and we are yet to hear from them. The answer that we were given by their staff, is that we should call and talk to the manager, and they don’t call back.
After 33 years of membership, it is time to call it quit as it no longer reflect our values nor a place that we would be proud to associate with.

Place seems nice but the front desk was very rude to my family, doubting whether we were even a family because there were "too many kids" (parents, 1 of their 5 adult children, their preteen and her friend we brought in vacation) or that we had any relation (we're a blended family, each parent having children prior to their upcoming marriage). All this prior to me and my fiance coming after running a quick errand. And then followed by a very rude conversation about check-in rules we never got clarifications on. If this is a family friendly center, it should welcome ALL families, not just the ones they approve of. It's very disappointing to know this is the kind of hospitality they deem acceptable. We had planned to use the center a few days during our stay. We definitely won't be going back.

Its a great place to use. Both the inside and outside pools are fund (when open as the outside is seasonal) The splash park is a good add and fun for toddlers to any age. Gym is a good size and has free weight and machines, if you like that type of thing. Changing rooms are adequate. You cant lock the lockers so leave the channel at home, and just take you valuables to the pool side with you. Love the team and love the service this place offer. If you are not a member you will need to be staying at a property that has an owner membership and you will have a fee/day/person to pay to use it.

Very nice facility. Extensive weight and cardio room, wonderful pool and jacuzzis. Very importantly, the tennis pro at the club, Tom Gross, Jr. is sensational. He made a big difference for me very quickly. I highly recommend the Club - and be sure to take a tennis lesson from Tom.

5-stars if you are 11 years old
Run around the pool deck? No problem!! Jump/dive in the pool? No problem! Throw balls around and bounce them off people? No problem!
Apparently parents drop their kids off and let them run wild. If you want a headache, just hang around this place for a couple hours. Hot tubs have a disgusting foam. Four or five people hanging around the front desk and nobody helping to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for visitors.

It was nice. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, a splash zone, and 2 hot tubs. Both pools have a kids pool attached. Basically, something for everyone. There is also a small place for food and drinks. It was a lot of fun.

Purchased a month membership about 3 weeks ago and was never informed about the WVV residents only policy on weekends, nor is it listed anywhere on the website. And if it is, not easy to find.

I went in today around 10am and was informed on this policy for the first time. I understand and respect the policy now that I am aware. But when asked to let it slide for the day because I drive 30 minutes to go here, the front desk attendant shrugged her shoulders and then insulted me because I don’t pay “top dollar” like the local members pay to have the weekend luxury’s. Little did she know I had 600 dollars on me ready to purchase a year membership.

Wether I should’ve known of this policy or not, when someone travels that far out of their way to give their business and is willing to drop half a grand, you accommodate for the customer. That’s Business 101.

Very disappointed and will be looking for a different gym that will accept me no matter what day of the week it is.

This place is amazing. They have so many activities to participate in. They have a couole gyms, tennis court, indoor pool, sauna, racquetball court, outdoor pool with a kids area where theirs a splash pad. Its also very clean here. They hire a private cleaning company daily to deep clean everything. Only thing is you need a pass to enter.

Ok facility, but gym needs work. The rower required maintenance, and the weight room badly needs barbells and more space. No traditional pull-up rig. For some reason, they've completely separated cardio equipment and weights. This makes it impossible to do workouts that involve both.

Went to this club on 6.23.18, walked in at 8:15 was told they were closing at 8:30 when it's posted 9:00. This was understandable. Staying at Mountain Sun Condo with an RCI exchange so the club is to be at no cost. They wanted us to pay $40.00. Not sure why when it's an RCI exchange. What a waste of a weeks vacation. Will notify RCI in the morning as well as Snowey Owl resort.

The White Mountain Athletic Center is an outstanding facility! The facility is very well managed, it is always clean and all systems are maintained in a meticulous manner. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Safety of the quests is a priority demonstrated with safety mats and fans to prevent falls. Security is not an issue because locker keys are provided unlike in other facilities where you must provide your own. Towels are provided as a convenience to the quests. The recent renovations to the outdoor pool area are phenomenal. Thank you!

The steam room is really good but the sauna room is not hot enough. The pool is large and fun and so are the hot tubs, note however that there is no lifeguards or supervision so it is free for all. Depending where you stand on the discipline/organization scale you might love it or hate it.

we went there because it said it had an arcade.. but it didn't anymore and they haven't updated their website. Everything we asked for.... they didn't have. We went upstairs for a early dinner at the Coyote Grill... it says they open at 3pm . It was after 3 and they were not really opened but they took us and we did have a nice dinner... it was very good. We went back downstairs and asked if they could call the trolley to take us back to our condo... They said ...no, we don't call they will just come and get you ...every 20 minutes or so... The trolley never showed and we walked back in the rain. When the trolley dropped us off( when we 1st got there).. she said.. just have them call me and I will come back and get you when you are ready... Overall, not impressed by the Waterville Valley Athletic club....at all...
