Dude, 24 Hour Fitness is seriously awesome. Everyone there is super helpful and supportive, and they actually keep the machines clean. Been coming to 24 Hour Fitness for many years but been specifically coming to the Springfield location for over a year and I enjoy it here. The club is huge with every cardio, and weight machine you may need to sustain the physique of your liking. Dennis, Omotunde, Kevin, and Izzy are very enjoyable to see 6 days a week. They keep me grounded and always making sure to put a smile on my face! Love to see what the club is becoming.

The only thing I have to complain about are the hours. I feel like I'd be able to have more time to go to the gym if they just extended their hours to 11pm instead of 10pm. Personally with my schedule, most of the time I can't make it earlier in the day, but I honestly feel like I would be able to workout more if there was that extra hour. I like this gym, I like the staff, but I've been considering on moving to a different gym just because of this. I really feel like that extra hour would make a difference. I used to go to Blink and Crunch and I felt like I was able to get my days in more since they close later.

It is a nice location, i love the aquazumba class with Charles. But i agree with some comments: jammed machiens, we are on top of each other, machines super durty, i don't think they were ever cleaned since installed. Bathroom cleaning seems to not exist as it was supposed to. Building has potential, but management seems to be very poor.

This gym looks nice on the way in, but it gets worse as you go, and at least 2x the price of many others. If you don't play basketball or use the pool area, I think it's not worth the price.

There are a lot of machines broken ALL THE TIME! When things break they dont get fixed for a very long time. For at least 6 months the stationary bikes only had 1 out of 8 that worked. Now they got rid of one, and there are only 7 left and maybe 3 that work properly.

Ceiling drips water and leaves puddles everywhere. They'll put a wet floor sign and a garbage can, but they dont have enough for all the leaks. The AC sounds like it needs to be oiled or something and is extremely loud in certain areas, like you'll wish you had ear plugs or headphones to block out the annoying screeching.

There are 2 floors, but everything is sort of jammed into one area. They have enough space for more equipment, but it's still lacking and you'll be waiting for things like leg extensions because there is only one. Same with shoulder/pec deck, and others.

Some idiot thought it would be a good idea to put the deadlift racks 5 or 6 feet behind the treadmills. So if you're on a treadmill, you'll have your back turned to loud aggressive constant droppings of barbells weighing hundreds of pounds a few feet behind you and feeling the floor shake. Good luck if you have anxiety!

If you do classes in the aerobic room, don't be surprised when you show up to class and there is no instructor. They frequently cancel classes and don't notify you.

They don't have enough cleaning people and it can be pretty messy (garbage, wet floors, dirty bathrooms, etc).

Weights and various lifting bars are frequently scattered all over the place because many people do not re-rack or return equipment to the proper place.

10 or 15 minutes before they close, they turn off all the lights without warning. It's dangerous and can also sometimes be hard to find things like your phone or keys.

If there is a problem with anything, the staff mostly doesn't care and says it's not their job. There is no one monitoring the gym floor, so pretty much anything goes- I've seen people walking around without shirts, people fighting, people playing loud boom boxes, and just about anything else you can think of. Seems like there is a completely new staff every month or two, so obviously they aren't exactly concerned about their jobs or quality of work. They are generally nice people, but just don't really do anything besides sit there.

The pool area is decent with sauna, steam room, hot tub. Pool area doesn't seem ventilated enough (if at all) and it irritates my lungs. It's been bad enough that i stopped using this area all together. Sometimes drain flies are also an issue there and in showers.

This gym advertises itself as a 24-hour facility, but since COVID it has not returned to extended hours. Unlike other 24 Hour Fitness locations that have adjusted to at least being open 24 hours during the week and shorter hours on weekends, this branch hasn’t made any effort to expand availability. I’ve asked multiple times for the gym to at least stay open an hour later, but nothing has been done. It’s frustrating that member feedback isn’t being taken into consideration

24 Hour Fitness "Free Trial" Not Always Free!

I wanted to share my recent experience with 24 Hour Fitness regarding their advertised "3-day FREE trial," as it was quite misleading and frustrating.

Yesterday, I signed up online for what was promoted as a complimentary 3-day trial. Excited to check out the gym with a friend, we arrived today, only to be met with an incredibly rude front desk employee. She informed us that the trial actually costs $30 per person, per day! Naturally, we were taken aback by this unexpected charge, especially since the online offer explicitly stated "FREE." Feeling misled and unwelcome, we decided to leave.

Later today, I received a call from the gym manager, who was following up on my trial sign-up. I explained the situation and the confusing information I had received. The manager then clarified that the trial isn't truly free; instead, it's a $30 charge for the entire 3-day period. She then offered me a 1-day free trial, which I declined. Her demeanor became noticeably rude after I turned down the offer.

While I appreciate the manager's initial clarification, this experience highlights a significant issue with 24 Hour Fitness's marketing and customer service. They heavily advertise a "free trial," but it appears this offer is either location-specific or comes with hidden costs that are not clearly communicated upfront. It's frustrating to be told one thing online and then face a completely different reality at the gym, compounded by a less-than-pleasant interaction with management.

My advice to others considering their "free trial": Be aware that it might not be free at all, and it's crucial to confirm the actual cost and terms directly with your specific location before you go. They should be much more transparent about these details when you sign up online to avoid wasting people's time and causing unnecessary frustration.

Tried to attend this gym found the manager to be uptight and unqualified. They often let whoever in and seem to pick and choose who they give a hard time. The general manager is beyond unqualified and very unruly towards guests. He began to follow me out of the establishment as if he was some type of bouncer at a club. I've been at 24 hour fitness for about a year. I enjoy the pool more than anything else bc that's what I do. I like to swim. However upstairs there's a lot of space and equipment to get into whatever your pleasure. Weights, floor exercises, machines and there's actually a separate basketball court that I'll likely never use but I appreciate that it exists. Options are good. The gym is well lit and has at least three bathrooms.

Paul Castro at 24 Hour Fitness is an absolute legend. I have no idea what his job title is, and honestly, it's better that way. He's just... Paul. You'll spot him by his sheer, unbridled aura of positivity. He once offered me a dried prune (I declined, confused) while I was by the water fountain, and then, with a twinkle, said something profoundly odd yet inspiring like, "The struggle is real. So is the spirit of adventure." My locker popped open, and I felt great. It's the Paul Castro magic. He just appears when you need a lift, offering a knowing nod or a cryptic, encouraging whisper like "The elliptical knows your secrets." His enthusiasm is contagious. If you want your gym experience to include a delightful, benevolent enigma, Paul is your guy. Five stars. Just be ready for anything.

This is the dirtiest gym I've ever been to.
There's dirt/dust/hair literally everywhere.
Under/On the weights, on every inch of the floor.
Additionally, it doesn't seem like they clean the place the night before/morning of because when I come in the morning the trash is full to the brim, the spray bottles are all empty and only one dispenser has paper towels.

It looks like they give NO EFFORT in keeping this place clean.
I'm only giving them two stars for machine availability but now that I think about it, it's probably because people don't want to touch them

I’ve been a member here since January, 2025. It’s crowded. Don’t even try to do chest day on a Monday between 5 and 8pm. There are only 3 bench press stations and every single member is doing chest. The members work out in groups, prolonging time on the benches and if it’s not the groups it’s the old people moving slow as molasses between sets. Some people just leave a towel on the bench and walk around chatting with their friends that they run into. It’s brutal. They have a shortage of 2.5, 5, and 10LB weights. The hot tub is also dirty. I sat in the hot tub one time and broke out with red bumps all over my body for a few days. Luckily it resolved itself. All of this is to be expected from a crowded gym that only charges $25 a month but they only get 2 stars because I’ve attempted to get them to resolve most of these issues privately over the last 5 months to no avail. You get what you pay for here. Bad member etiquette, overcrowded, dirty. And not to mention, they’re not even open 24 hours. False advertising. 2 stars

Working out with Andre, a trainer at 24 Hour Fitness has allowed me to find my appropriate pace and increase my strength and flexibility slowly without hurting myself. If I had tried to do this without a trainer I'd definitely be sitting on the sidelines having hurt myself. Instead, I can accept and even appreciate where I am now in my process and I've given up comparing myself to other people who aren't 65 and haven't been sitting in a desk chair for most of the last 10 years.

Super unpleasant interaction I was here 2 days ago I want to use my 3day pass - and I was declined - since the gym offers only one day pass even though I choose this specific locations on website - Then since I was a member of your gym 6 years ago in different location that closed down I'm not allowed to use a free pass and check out your gym - sounds ridicule...the front desk guy was shady and unprofessional - I will stick with my gym at least workers are helpful and nice

I always get the best work outs at this place. All of the trainers are great, staff is always ready to help and very welcoming in nature. This gym has many regular customers for years and I can see why. Staff knows everybody by their name. They make me feel like I’m at a second home! I recommend stopping by and meeting an awesome team member yourself. My experience is always the best!! Super clean & such a friendly atmosphere… AND all the equipment that you will ever need & more! I’m super excited for my next visit already & trying out the new boxing class!

I have been going to this club since it opened its doors pre-covid. There have been issues as they adjusted to the post covid new normal. I will agree there have been issues with cleanliness. However, after speaking with the organization’s customer service representative as well as the club manager, great strives have been taken. Hiring a cleaning crew has greatly improved cleanliness. What I admire most about this facility is that the manager recognizes what needs to be improved and he acts on getting things done. Like all customer service businesses it’s up to its clientele to voice concerns needing attention. But it is equally important for the management to also see the need for improvement and act on getting things done. I am pleased with Izzy and his team. They have recognized and addressed issues as they are identified. A reactive management is what all gyms should have as leadership. I would recommend this club as a full service, clean, well equipped facility, where the frequent gym goer can definitely hit their fitness goals!

I've been going here a few months now only because I work in the area. In all this time I've not once seen a cleaner. The locker/bath rooms are filthy and the machine in the picture has been covered in dust since last year. There are an unnecessary amount of treadmills/bikes, while there are not enough machines for everyone to work with. I've been to a few other 24 hour fitness locations, all much nicer. In fact any gym I've ever been to was nicer.

No wonder they have low membership….
Why is it that the area which needs to be sanitary esp post Covid is absolutely vile.
The bathrooms, locker room and pool/hot tub/ steam area needs major cleaning. Sanitation should be a gyms NUMBER 1 Priority. Why does the gym floor have paper towels but the bathrooms don’t?! Equipment does not look like it ever gets cleaned or wiped down either. EVER! 🤢
All in all don’t be surprised if you get sick from going there! 🙄🤦‍♀️😡😡

I have been going to 24 Hours Fitness for years, in the last year I started to notice lots of new improvements, for one as soon as you walk in Ebony at the front desk welcomes you and ask how is your day going, we chat for a bit then she tell you have a great workout.
Emile the technician is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly always willing to listen if theirs a problem and then take care of it.
Elver the new clean team keep the gym very clean, I have never seen this gym so spotless.
Izzy the new manager is the best, he will find the time to listen to you if you have a problem, he will do his best to take care of it if not he finds you and inform you with the problem situation.

911 - I have been a member of 24 Hours Fitness for years, on this day I walked in and as usual everyone said Hi, when I got into the locker room, I heard someone having some kind of seizure in the shower, I quickly ran over to the front desk, Tony Shelvis and Izzy Chaparro follow me into the locker room, they both took control of the situation, the Police and the EMT showed up in no time, Tony and Izzy informed them and they took over the situation, I have to say Tony and Izzy handed the situation very professional, me and all the club members were impress.

A gym is a gym, but when it comes to 24 hour Fitness route 22 sets the standard for all the local gyms, G.M TJ Shelivis runs a great gym, Brandon the fitness Manager is the person that made me had all my friends and family join his gym, because of Brandon my friends at Lifetime Fitness are here, also Izzy the sales and service Manager does a fantastic job, he always ask how I was doing and how was my workout, Emile the facilities tech is very knowledgeable and for sure keeps the club going and he is friendly, also the club is very clean, everyone at this club gets 🏆🏆🏆🏆 & 🌟🌟🌟🌟 from a very happy member, keep up the great work guys and everyone soon.

I want to post my sincere thank you to the management at this location, and apologize for the embarrassing behavior of my cousin and his friends today. Unbeknownst to me, they attempted to use my membership and buddy passes without my permission and when the employee at the front desk did their job in asking for identification the boys decided to show extreme disrespect and use very inappropriate language rather than simply paying for their own passes for the day as the membership was not his to share with any friends he sees fit.
Thankfully, the situation did not escalate further and I have a huge respect for the gentlemen that called me to notify me of the situation and see if my account needed to be canceled for fraudulent use. I now have to deal with a freeze on the account due to their behavior but I am thankful for the manager and employees at this establishment for doing their due diligence and I hope that my cousin learns to be half as respectful as y'all. He was apologetic on the phone but I hope before he leaves from his vacation that he comes in to apologize for his behavior without his ignorant friends.

5 stars for the fact that you can definitely trust 24hr fitness to make sure your membership is not being taken advantage of. Have a lovely day everyone

I wish I had read the reviews before going here. I, too, was made to pay $25 for a free 3 day pass. She then said not all locations have the free pass. When I asked which locations were free, the response was. "I don't know." At 6am, paper towels were empty, and there was an extremely strong perspiration smell throughout the gym. The stairmasters are gross. They haven't been cleaned in forever. I would like a refund. This cannot be sanitary. Has the dept of health seen this place?
