I recently switched to here a few months back. Best decision ever ! Bigger gym equals no waiting on equipment ever. Enough space and plenty of equipment and machine choices to do your workout and get out in time . Fitness classes, pool, sauna, jacuzzi, cold plunge and best part -a women’s only enclosed section . So many options here. 😊

I like to give much praise to Kevin Banks who is the Swimming instructor. Kevin is very motivating in class and encouraging 👏 and he makes it very fun in class. Kevin is a great teacher that keeps our attention. I recommend anyone who wants to sign up to swim at active fitness sign up for Kevin classes . Kevin will get you in great shape. 👍 God bless him 🙏.

New owner has been making some very nice improvements to this gym. I have been going for years and recently the equipment has been updated, flooring, and also the bathrooms. The sauna is nice and hot too!

I have been a member of this gym about 20 years. Suddenly, this month, my membership dues basically doubled. When I went to the gym to inquire, the manager pointed to this tiny sign intermingled among other multiple signs, inconspicuously placed near-ish the check-in counter where people basically scan their card and walk right by. I asked if they felt that was an ethical way to inform people of not just a small increase, but nearly DOUBLING your monthly dues with no way of confirming people actually stopped, stood there, and read the sign. No email from the gym, no letter mailed home, no phone call. Just a sign they hope you notice. I didn't really get an answer from the manager on that.

When I mentioned that I had been a member there for 2 decades, they cared not one little bit. They offered to cancel my membership on the spot and so that's what I did. Snap Fitness and Planet Fitness both charge $24.99 a month, if anybody reads this review and would rather not pay the $45 a month at a gym that doesn't care about you, even after spending two decades being a loyal member. I would sadly advise no one ever to go to this gym.

I've been a member of this gym since 2016. Since the new owner Mike took over, it's way better than before. There has been so many improvements made! It's cleaner, neater, new carpets and walls, there are more squat racks, new machines, a private room for women only where are all the glute machines. They created two rooms for infrared sauna and a cold plunge combined, which you can use for additional membership (extremely affordable and so worth it!).
My kids are grown, but the free childcare is a total clutch for busy moms.

This is an updated review as a lot has changed. Prior review was positive. New owner (Mike) knows how to run a gym and it just keeps getting better. Daycare, lots of new equipment, sauna, showers, lockers, pool, cold plunge, aerobics and spin classes round out the gym's services. Overall vibe is friendly and fit, staff is very helpful and it's clear they appreciate their members. Even the interior lighting is new to provide inspiration during the dreary winter months. Very appreciative of the recent changes. A well earned five star review.

This is where it all started for me on my fitness journey when it originally openned up decades ago, so I credit this place for helping me get really healthy, fit n buffed!

The glass sunroom is my favorite room because it’s so sunny and bright there! Lotsa brand new cardio machines in there! I alternate between all the different ones in this room so love the variety a lot! What other gym in the area has a big bright glass sunroom filled with the latest newest cardio equipment, stretching stations, different ab equipment, pilates machines, weights, and floor exercise mats …. None do except for this gym of Active Fitness in Medford NJ

I’ve never made use of the children’s daycare, but it always looks like the children are very well cared for and having lotsa fun in there! The staff that work in the daycare are always very happy to be there also caring for your children so that’s all comforting to know!
Plus it’s free included in your membership

There’s an all woman’s only private section currently being built, so looking forward to when it’s finished so I can work out there too!

Whole gym facility is very super upscale!

It just keeps getting better and better here all the time!

Very caring, helpful and friendly group of staff that work there with great respectful communications always!

Lotsa variety of group fitness classes from early morning to afternoon and then again at night.

Very convenient hours it’s open

In less than a year since new ownership took over there has been a tremendous amount of upgrades and improvements in every way, so they really care a whole lot about helping people get healthy and fit!

This has by far been my favorite gym in Medford I’ve gone too. They have the best variety of equipment, welcoming staff, and good vibes. The ownership has recently changed and they’ve cleaned up the entire place and are getting even more new equipment. Pull-up bars, free weights, machines, a swimming pool, fitness classes, and even a sauna.

I joined this gym 1 1/2 yrs ago. There are new owners now and they are updating the place. They now have FREE daycare. Whoo hoo. But my best experience is working with my trainer Judy Broadt. She listened to my concerns and goals. Works with me on my level of fitness, but at the same time pushes me to reach my goals. She is very knowledgeable on all the machines, making sure I am using them correctly so I don't hurt myself. She will explain every exercise and why it's so important to do them correctly. I can't thank her enough for all she has taught me and for always being there for me. I do highly recommend the gym and all their trainers.

Great gym for the whole family. Happy to see that the original owner is back, and already so many positive changes; upgrades and new equipment. The gym is starting to feel like the old times again. All the equipment and classes you could want for a great workout. My favorite is the spin class. Always a positive and upbeat vibe here. The front desk staff always greets hello. And even though my kiddos are grown now it’s so nice to see that the daycare is back. That was so important to our family when my kids were younger.

New ownership is AWFUL! My credit card was charged twice in July and when I called to get the issue resolved I spoke to Jennifer, who only provided different excuses as to why this problem occurred. I asked to speak to the owner, but Jennifer called me back again providing more excuses. So I called today to get info about how to cancel my membership and guess who answered the call....Jennifer! She provided more excuses as to why this problem occurred and when I stated I was only calling to get info on how to cancel my membership she stated "we don't want you here anyways." Jennifer has no idea how to address issues and the owner never called me back. Please double check your accounts if you have a membership here!

Originally joined when it was still Kennedy. Since under new management the gym has been very clean, organized and updated .. I’m a big fan of the group classes.. I faithfully attend Amy’s, Mitsy’s, Rebecca’s class which are my favorite! Highly recommend it! I love the fact that there’s a day care option for the kids. I absolutely love this gym. I recently switched a few weeks ago, and I can already feel my workouts getting better. There are so many machines to chose from, a whole area dedicated to cardio with plenty of sunlight, a dead lift area, a pool, a sauna… and at a fair price. You couldn’t ask for more from a gym. I absolutely LOVE this gym!!! The old owner is back (Mike) and he has made such a huge difference in a short amount of time. He has bought new equipment, got a complete makeover, and you can see every day the place improving! I liked it before but it’s so much better now!

The employees treat you like family and ask ask how you’re doing (Rebecca, Ali, Steve, Carter) when you walk in. The members are like family as well. They go out of their way to accommodate you and the facilities are tremendous. Super excited to see what is coming next!
