Active Personal Training has been a game changer! As I get older, staying strong (and sane!) is a big priority - and this team delivers. The workouts are customized so I can build strength without aggravating old injuries. Huge win!
When I started, Will discovered my biggest motivator: my cats. Yep, I want to keep up with their antics and do everything for them! (They run the house, I pay the rent.) My family is a close second - I want to stay strong for them too. Will helped me focus on becoming the best version of myself. Rob came next and made sure I worked my derrière off (still recovering). Now, Tim patiently lets me be my quirky self and somehow gets me moving - even when I keep saying “No”. How he wins every time is a mystery. I suspect Jedi mind tricks… or maybe he’s secretly mastered the art of motivational sorcery.
If you want coaches who care, challenge you, and make you laugh while you sweat, this is the place for you. My cats approve 🐾💪

I started going to ATS/Active when I was a sophomore in high school, and now—about ten years later—it’s still a huge part of my life. Over the years, this gym has pushed me both mentally and physically in ways I never imagined. The trainers truly care and always know how to motivate you—just when you think you can’t do something, they remind you that you can.
One of the best parts of being at ATS/Active is the community. I’ve built lasting friendships with people who challenge and support me every day, and together we push each other to be the best versions of ourselves. I’ve grown stronger, more confident, and genuinely feel like a better person because of this place.

I started going in mid July after a year of being physically/mentally sidelined due to pre-existing conditions. Sat down with one of the trainers, laid everything out and waited for... something. Turns out the something I anticipated was much different than the something I found. To say this is a safe space would be an understatement. You are welcomed and encouraged from the second you walk through the door. No one is made to feel less. Ever. Your physical strength is just as important as your mental strength. And that's something they pride themselves on. I can honestly say that during my short time here, I've met some extraordinary coaches. They are invested in your success. And it's hard not to succeed when you have that kind of support rallying behind you.

THE MOST FUN environment to work out — ever! I needed something to jumpstart my workouts and Active was perfect. Training and instruction are spot on, my heart rate reached levels never seen before (in a good way!), and Rob’s ?’s of the week are great way to get to know your teammates. Once you start you won’t want to quit — both for the workouts and the camaraderie. They really do care about you and your fitness and growth. (Plus Rob tolerates my Packers 💚💛 with ease and support … until they play the Eagles — 🫤)

By far the best "gym" experience I've ever had. Never liked the big gyms filled woth equipment i dont know how to use. They give amazing instruction here. They let you know why you are doing each move and correct you and let you k ow why that was wrong etc... they work around any issues you have. I have lower back issues so they are sure to give me things that won't aggravate it but still pushes me. They check to make sure im not hurting myself. It feels more like community and family then just a gym. They appreciate you. You can feel it. They celebrate you and your successes. Just the best gym experience hands down!

Active Personal Training in Haddonfield is a great place to train! I joined shortly after having surgery on my clavicle. The trainer, Will, catered the exercises around my injury and helped me get back to 100%. Will does an incredible job of fostering a sense of community among the members in the gym. I wanted a clean gym that would give me personalized instruction, motivation and hold me accountable. I found all those things AND an excellent trainer Will. He’s always smiling, enthusiastic and gives individualized training to EACH member EVERY class. Most classes are 2-4 people. Everyone is super supportive no matter where you are in your journey! I’ve been going for 2 1/2 months 3x a week. I’ve been a member at other boutique gyms and for me this one is the best….and no I am not being paid for this glowing endorsement lol.

The last four years have been nothing short of a rollercoaster for my Gumby body: three traumatic lumbar-sacral disc herniations, one wonky SI joint slip, & a cute little scoliosis diagnosis really left me not trusting (or liking) myself. After the last round of epidurals, joint injections, & therapy wrapped up right before the holidays last year, I decided that 2024 was going to be the year that I took my noodle body back. There's body confidence, and then there's confidence in your body; I had hit an all-time low for both. I was petrified that I was going to hurt myself again if I went about it the wrong way.
I spent most of this year focusing on cardio & core, figuring I needed a stable foundation before I jumped into strengthening anything else. I also recognized that I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to weights/muscle-building (again, noodle body). Strong women support strong women, so when two of my badass, fitness-forward coworkers told me that their training gym was opening a satellite across the street from our office, I knew I had to check it out.
Enter Active Haddonfield ! I was really resistant to the idea of starting with a personal trainer, mostly because my confidence was so low. From the very beginning, Will made the gym a safe space. He starts every Monday with a burst of positive energy, always makes me work for my gains, gives me homework that challenges me, and checks in throughout the week to keep me accountable with both diet and exercise. It's not easy, but it's certainly easier and far more fun than I thought it would be - all thanks to Will. I can't wait to see what this noodle body will be able to do with more training in 2025. 💪🏻
