Active Personal Training Medford has been an amazing experience so far. I have joined other gyms in the past and worked out on my own. I did the typical things people said would help "get in shape." But after a month, life would happen and I found myself paying "The Fat Tax" until I was able to cancel my membership.
This time, I wanted to try something different. I NEEDED accountability. I NEEDED an exercise partner. Active Personal Training Medford offered both those things. Their workouts are fun, efficient, and never the same. Even though you are in a small group, the trainer customizes each work out for you. Knows when to push you. Knows when you just need a break. There is nothing but encouragement. Having to schedule a class keeps me accountable. It is easier then I thought to find one hour for my health. Two month in and already seeing results.
So invest in your health. Skipping one restaurant meal a week pays for it and will helps with your fitness journey too.

I joined Active Personal Training in March 2025 with the main goal of building strength. I have been a member of traditional gyms (Active Fitness, Planet Fitness, Virtua Health & Wellness) and have also previously worked with a personal trainer. Individual sessions became a strain on my budget, so when I was ready to get back in gym mode--after foot surgery in January and then hand surgery in May--I wanted more of a studio than a cavernous gym. I wanted a knowledgeable trainer who offered affordable small group personal training. I wanted to work out with people my own age (I am 54) who have similar age-related issues/conditions. I found all of those things with APT. I have enjoyed each of the trainers I have worked with, but Victoria is extra special. She really goes above and beyond in more ways than one: in her communication with members, by creating challenging and varied workouts at each session, and by motivating her members. I especially appreciate that she understands my previous injuries and limitations and tailors my workouts accordingly. I am thankful to have found her and APT, and I am proud of the gains I have already made. I look forward to more!

I’ve been working out consistently three times per week since September and can already feel the positive impact it has had on my overall health. It wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance and support of my coach, Victoria, and the program she customizes for my specific ability level. Victoria is especially gifted with nerdy exercise knowledge and knows how to motivate without being annoying. She pushes me to make gains each week, but also works within my limits which I believe creates a safe environment in which I can train.
I highly recommend Active Personal Training to everyone, whether you are already fit and want to keep pushing yourself, or like me, and in need of a full body transformation to achieve long term health and fitness goals. I finally found a gym that feels like family. I truly belong here with the AMAZING trainers and my workout buddies! We support each other and are constantly making progress to better our lives together. I am so proud of my accomplishments and owe it all to my talented trainers. What I find most impressive is how they customize each workout for each individual’s strengths, weaknesses, and skill level. If you come in with an injury the training is customized for you. The level of care is above and beyond!

After a cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment, I had a really hard time getting back to my previous, healthy, athletic self. There were so many disappointing starts and stops while I learned what my new, post cancer body was capable of. I gained weight and was pretty unhappy with how I looked and felt. I saw an ad for APT Medford on FB, and it got my attention. I’m so glad I came in and met with Victoria. Her knowledge, her passion for fitness, and her compassion for her clients comes through in every session. The personal attention you get in the small classes is priceless. I cannot begin to explain how my strength and confidence have skyrocketed since coming here. The improvements are both measurable on the scale, with increased weights, etc. but are also immeasurable in how they show up in every day life. I cannot recommend APT Medford enough. It has truly been a life-changing experience for me.

Absolutely love the workouts here at Active Personal Training Medford! Not only have I lost weight but I’m really starting to notice real definition in my arms and legs. Victoria has also helped me work on my knee and back issues helping me to be stronger and have less pain in those areas!
I’m looking forward to the spending the next year to see how great I’m going to feel and progress!

I joined in March and am so glad I did! I look forward to my sessions. I have gotten stronger and more flexible. The workouts are personalized for each individual's level. They are always different, challenging and fun! The coaches are great! They are all very attentive, knowledgeable and motivating. They listen and are receptive, they actively modify exercises when needed. The focus is on being healthy, nutritional education is available. I started at Active Personal Training after being out of the gym for several years,. The trainers work with you in a small group but personalize the workouts for your level.
