The space at Ananda is beautiful. The large room with a 2nd floor view, the colors, the lighting, everything is conducive to a peaceful practice. The schedule of classes offers somethi ng for all levels and interests. I have tried many different classes with several different instructors. All have been extremely welcoming and friendly. They offer lots of cool special events too.

Ananda is such a lovely, welcoming space. The schedule is full of all different types of classes, there’s truly something for everyone - whether you’ve never taken a class before or you’ve been practicing for years. The community is so open and caring, and I felt at home as soon as I walked in the door to my first class 2 years ago! I’ve had great experiences with every teacher and class I’ve taken. The best!

One of my favorite yoga studios! I attend partner yoga with the bestie and also love their yin classes. I can't wait to try out more of their classes and meet more of the Ananda community 😊

Today I found my second new yoga 🧘 πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ home. I knew that in addition to the 8 miles a day that I have been walking/running/sometimes crawling everyday for almost two weeks now that I need to add other activities to my fitness plan for rainy days, ect.
I found Ananda (means joy in Sanskrit) in Wenonah only 7 minutes away. I was greeted warmly by Karen an instructor there taking a class. I decided than and there to get invest in a membership. I than laid down my mat and saw the instructor of the class who was a gorgeous blond who looked really familiar. She came over and helped me with my poses during the class giving me extra attention which I was grateful for. I took the advanced class at my own pace and was super proud of myself at the end of it. I went to grab my stuff and was invited to sit down for tea with Karen. Janet the instructor came in to the room and I said you look really familiar. She said you do too. We than realized that her Dad and her Sister are regulars and my restaurant The Charlesworth. Her and her family joined them last year after her Mother passed. It is a really small world. I remember when I saw her walk in there was a light around her/shining on her. She literally lit up the room. We talked about the beautiful experience she had there after a really tough time for her family. I sat there and talked with Karen, Janet and another person who took the class for over an hour like we were old friends. I am so excited to be apart of this beautiful group now and figured I would give them a shout out. They deserve it.

I just started my yoga practice (no experience whatsoever) and have been thoroughly impressed with Ananda. The studio is very clean with a very calming atmosphere. The instructors are friendly, welcoming and helpful as are the people I've met in class. Would highly recommend!

While so far I have only practiced there twice, but I know both owners and they are absolutely wonderful, loving, and kind individuals. The studio is comfortable and inviting, the props are clean and organized, and important for me it isn't freezing cold in there like it is at a gym yoga class. I am coming back into my practice after a very difficult couple of years, during yet another difficult time and I fully trust Shelly and Karen to help guide me back into practice but to also give me a safe space to grieve and process some current events. There's no judgment there and I can't think of a single negative thing to say about it. Some people may not dig that there aren't floor to ceiling mirrors but I love that it brings me into my body and Karen's cues are more than enough to get into proper alignment with no worries. I love you guys and I'll see you soon 😘.

Though I consider myself a beginner, I have taking yoga classes off and on. Over that time I had some good teachers and learned a lot, but I always felt a disconnect in communicating how I felt about a pose (I have herniated disks) and what the instructor wanted the class to do. Working with Karen and Shelly has been a very different, ... and positive experience. They listen to your concerns, they are very patient and easy to talk with, and they provide alternative, more gentler poses that let me ease into more advanced poses. Since I have started with Ananda yoga I feel I have less tightness and pain in my back and each day I'm improving. I'm learning a lot and it's been a great experience. Also, the environment is very relaxing and the classes were perfectly scheduled. I highly recommend them.
