This yoga studio reflects the warm, peaceful and welcoming vibe of the owner, Lori. All the instructors are knowledgeable, skilled and so wonderful. They encourage you, but easily allow you to go at your own pace, and they guide you in experiencing the physical mental and emotional benefits of yoga. And there are also some really interesting workshops..So happy I found this relaxing refuge and began this practice. (and it actually helped me heal a stubborn frozen shoulder).

I am a yoga newbie and was very nervous starting this out. The owner, Lori, the instructors, and other yoga class mates have all welcomed me into their classes here at Ananta Yoga with so much kindness. In just a short amount of weeks I feel so comfortable, and really look forward to coming to class. Highly recommend Ananta!

Such a wonderful place to take yoga classes! They have a lot of classes for different levels and all of the teachers are wonderful. When everything shut down in March, Lori got the virtual classes up and running quickly and they have been a life saver. Highly recommend this school!

I love this studio. It is the only studio where I have felt welcomed and comfortable. Lori is such a nice person and has a good soul. She made me feel welcomed right away and really listens to you. My dad even attended a class and LOVED IT! He had double knee replacements so was nervous but it was great and the instructor was so helpful. Anjelaβs class on Sunday mornings is a beautiful way to start the week she gets you in the right mindset. Anjela is always helping and giving wise words. I leave class feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Highly recommend for all levels and newbies! You will feel welcomed in no time.

I attended the workshop for beginners this past Saturday. It had been over 10 years since I had taken a yoga class and I knew I definitely needed to get back to basics. Maria and Tom were excellent instructors, I felt at ease from the very beginning. They provided a comprehensive foundation that will be so helpful as I continue practicing yoga.

I returned after about 4 years absence; was welcomed back and immediately felt at home. Found myself wishing the (restorative) class were longer. Felt great during and after...Antoinette is the best; cheerful, funny, empathetic and non judgmental as well as a very skilled insructor who can deftly zero in on individual needs. Highly recommend tnis beautiful studio and excellent team.

Ananta Yoga was my first official yoga experience. I tried yoga once in college and once with P90x - both of which I hated. But lately, I've wanted to gain more strength and flexibility, and also manage stress and my breathing, so I decided to try yoga again. I found Ananta through Yelp; the good reviews and "newcomer's package" seemed like a good deal. I tried contacting the studio several times by calling, but received no answer. I finally resorted to e-mail and received an immediate response - so i guess that's their preferred mode of communication. They were very helpful in guiding me to the right yoga session - I knew I'd need something completely newbie-friendly since I really have no yoga experience.
Finding the studio was a bit tricky. I didn't realize the that there was a street you had to pull on to off of 23 south in order to get to the entrance. The first time around, I missed that street and had to do a 7-min loop around the back residential area. Once I finally got to the entrance, I was still a little confused until I saw the giant "Yoga" sign at the top of the building - the entrance is on the right-hand side of the building, up the stairs.
I arrived only a minute before the class started (getting lost didn't help), but the teacher (Brian) was still very friendly and helped me get situated. The beginner's class, Hatha Yoga, was just right. Brian walked us through every step and took time to go around to everyone to make sure they were doing the poses correctly. I really had no idea what I was doing, but I didn't feel out of place or embarrassed in the class.
The studio also allowed me to decide AFTER if I wanted to just pay the drop-in price or the "new student special" price, which was a huge bonus. I wasn't sure if I'd like it and I didn't want to commit to anything - this allowed me that option, which was great. However, I did end up buying the "new student special", which is an unlimited month of yoga since I enjoyed the experience (and I'm surprisingly sore, in a good way). Looking forward to the next month of classes!

Thank you for a very inspiring workshop with Tao Porchon Lynch! You have a lovely studio, a very warm and welcoming space. I live in Orange County, NY but it was so worth the trip. And what can I say about Tao? She is beautiful and amazing beyond words...I attended the workshop with my sisters,(one of them had never attended a yoga class before!) and we left feeling energized and uplifted...knowing we had tapped into something powerful..the Fountain of Youth is yoga and Tao is living proof! I will be checking your website for more workshops. Thanks.

This was the very first Yoga class I have ever taken. I was a bit nervous walking in, not knowing what to expect. Of course, I signed up for the beginners' class. And I have to say I LOVED it! Everyone including the teacher and the other students made me feel very welcome and put me at ease, right away. I enjoyed every minute of it. The hour and a half class just flew by. I cannot wait to go back. EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT Yoga studio!
