Absolutely the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. The classes that I attend are mostly at the Monroe location where they focus on cardio, strength, and core (the treadmills and bikes in the pool are at the Quakerbridge location). The trainers are incredible, they push you and the classes fly by. These are definitely not your average water aerobics classes, they have top of the line equipment and you can push yourself as hard as you’d like. It is definitely an investment in yourself and your health, but I have never enjoyed exercise as much as I have with this program. They have other classes at the Quakerbridge location that are awesome, so definitely check those out.

My experiences at APT in Lawrenceville have been great! The owner and instructors really care - they all know me and are vested in helping me reach my goals. The pool classes which incorporate treadmills and bikes in the water are a terrific way to build strength and incorporate cardio, especially if you’re challenged by joint issues. The facility has so much to offer, but I’ll just add that i love using their cold tub to help with faster recovery and inflammation reduction.

The combination of weights, bikes, and treadmills in the water along with the highly qualified instructors makes for the best workout with lower impact on your joints.APT is an A+ establishment I highly recommend .

I’ve been a non-stop member of APT since 2018, and it has been a lifesaver for me. I have been going to APT for just over a year and it’s by far the best workout I’ve ever done! As many people, I’ve tried many different programs but this one is extremely effective in building strength, toning the body and FUN which makes it easy to sustain. The water helps relieve pressure from past knee injuries but still provides a great workout. The staff is wonderful & supportive in any part of your journey - working out, recovery, nutrition. Highly recommended for everyone at any level.

I have been suffering from Arthritis which at time stopped me from doing some of my daily activities. I have been going to APT for over a year and they are working with me to build my body and legs so the Arthritis will not impact me preventing me from enjoying life. APT take a more holistic approach work on improving you whole body instead of dealing with only one area of your body like most physical therapy group. Started year 7 with John and his team at APT (Aquatic Performance Training) and that says a lot!! The pool workouts, Strength Cardio/ Cycle and Treadmill classes are top notch!! You do not need to know how to swim, the pools are not that deep, you do need a willingness to show up and have fun while also working out! APT is on top of all the best equipment and offers not only pool workouts but land as well. Programs such as the AlterG Treadmill, Cold Tub, Infared Sauna or Personal Training and so much more. This is so much fun that I would come every single day if I could! It's so relaxing to get in the pool and switch gears from being land locked to surrounded by water. It's refreshing and feels great being buoyant. Then when you have chosen your class or activity you gradually make the transition into acclimating to the water and exercising. It feels natural! There is no pounding or jolting movements. Movement is fluid and feels like a good challenge, not painful. Everyone should try this!

From my very first class I was HOOKED!!!!! If you have any issues you can speak with the trainers and they will help you make modifications. I am doing exercises in the water that would be difficult for me on land with a previous broken ankle & frozen shoulder surgery. I’m only in my third week and I can already see changes in my body. I LOVE IT!!!!!

Love love the water classes. I joined about 2 years ago. I am 57, have 4 partially herniated discs, scoliosis, sciatica, a locating patella, and arthritis in my hands. I have no pain with these classes and they are very challenging workouts. Plus, it's not the same sweaty thing as the gym. The instructors are great! So worth the money I moved a few months ago and still drive an hour roundtrip to get here when I can. -Lisa S

I love APT! I've been attending classes twice per week for a couple of months. The classes are challenging but very doable, fun, and well balanced. I've come to APT due to a knee injury, and do it alongside PT and other modalities, and I believe these classes help my recovery more than anything else.

What a fantastic group of people and trainers. This is the perfect exercise type when for various health reasons you may be apprehensive about a traditional gym. I tried weight training briefly and it broke my back and arms and I just never felt like tat is very beneficial for long term success if you have to convince yourself to do something so aggressive. APT is safe for joints, being in the water is so refreshing and you can actually run, though under water! I haven't run in couple years due to various surgeries and now I can. Bonus is I do not feel hot or sweaty like outside on the pavement.

I may look young but I suffer from joint/muscle pain due to thyroid issues.I’ve only taken 3 classes so far & experience ZERO pain, fun workout & I sweat in the pool! I started my journey at APT about 2 months ago. After having multiple failed attempts with conventional physical therapy I thought, “what do I have to lose?”. If anything, I have only gained physical strength, knowledge and a better understanding as to why aquatic therapy is beneficial and I am seeing only positive results.
I can’t express this enough, John and his team are FOCUSED on improving the health and well-being of everyone who joins their center. They take the time to understand your needs, whether big or small and work with you and create a plan that is attainable and works with you and your schedule (no matter how wild that schedule may be!) Whether you are faced with an injury from sports , a medical condition that has limited your activities or you just want to be more active and get in shape, consider APT in your journey to wellness. I will never say it’s easy, but in order to grow- we need to challenge ourselves from time to time.

This is my second time using the facility today. I am an older gentleman and my legs aren’t what they were when I was younger. Traditional treadmills, bicycles and aerobic classes are done for me so I tried APT. It’s amazing. A great workout with minimal stress caused by traditional equipment. The water is indeed a force to reckon with but what a great workout. I have done two classes. The Strength/ Cardio and the Cycle class. Both of these gave a great workout. I can’t recommend APT enough for people who want to workout but not the traditional gym workout. This is the real deal as far as working out goes. The entire Team at APT is amazing. The two times I have gone I have used the instructor Ron. He’s amazing. I met John who runs the facility and what a nice man. When I walked in he knew my name. I was impressed. A great facility with great classes. Thank you John and Team for making exercising accessible to those who don’t go to a traditional gym. Look forward to future classes

Aquatic Performance Training is a great gift for all the seniors in your life that need exercise. It is water aerobics. The classes are only 45 minutes long which is great. The teachers are all amazing and caring people that have your best interest at heart. They are also willing to help and guide. Everyone in the classes are pleasant which makes the classes enjoyable. I had total knee replacement and the water aerobics really helps improve the movement in my knee. I would highly recommend these classes to everyone since you can move at your own pace and effort. You are never judged by what your abilities are. Come join the fun in the water!!! Easy to schedule online, if you can’t make it to a class the online system is easy to work with even for seniors. I love APT. If it wasn’t for the wonderful trainer here I wouldn’t be doing as great as I am. I got in a motorcycle accident in 2022 with multiple fractures of my face ribs, vertebras and compound fracture of left leg. I was going to physical therapy and felt it was going to take years to recover. Thanks to John, Brianna and the rest of the team I’m happy to say I’m back at work and rocking it. They work me in the pool with personal classes, then I moved to land equipment and training now I’m in group classes building muscle and sustaining . I’m a hairdresser and stand hours on end. I have been taking class with APT for many years now. It is the first program that I have been consistent with and actually enjoy getting out of bed for. I have improved my balance, core strength, and stamina all while doing something fun. I wish there were more than 5 🌟!! Starting with a phone conversation in July, with John, I knew this program was for me. Each of us has a purpose, and John's team has it in themselves, plus they support each individual's reason for being in the pool.
I am retired from health care now. Actually, 40 + years in the operating room. I'm scheduled for a total knee replacement in December, and want to be ready for the post operative part.
The cardiac and strengthening program has gotten me into better shape than I have been in 10 years!!

I just joined a few months ago. Definitely helps with joint pain. I was able to lose a few lbs. Staff is always friendly and helpful when doing exercise incorrectly. The saff wants u to engage with the ability of the correct way. Overall experience has been different then other gyms. They have a follow up system that's great. So glad that I found aquatic performance! I'm a cancer surviver and needed some help gaining my strength back. APT is the best workout I have ever experienced. This is not a typical water aerobics class. It is an actual workout in water where you don't feel the weight bearing you would on land.

I finally found a workout that my mother is able to participate in without the pain that she gets from other workouts. She has horrible arthritis and neuropathy. She previously couldn’t do more than 5 mins without being in great pain and then at night her legs and feet would cramp. At APT she is able to complete the full 45 min work out without pain or losing her breath. She doesn’t cramp at all t night. I have minor arthritis and just had surgery on my elbow last year and it’s been great for me as well. I’m so glad a found this place. ALL of the staff are amazing which you can’t find everywhere (where everyone is nice and helpful). This is the best place to be if you have difficulty with joints and other pains!

I attend the strength/cardio sessions at the Monroe location. I not only really enjoy it but have also noted that my joint mobility has improved and while I still have pain (as I am of “a certain age” lol) it has decreased in severity. I have been a member for 6 weeks so these improvements have not occurred overnight but they have happened and that is a WIN!

This is the absolute BEST way I have found to get meaningful cardio and strength building workouts without risk of injury. I’ve been attending classes regularly at APT for about 5 weeks now and loving it! The instructors are great and keep the classes engaging. I’m in the second trimester of pregnancy and it’s great being able to workout with less strain on my body. I can even run on the treadmill! Definitely worth a try if you’re considering water fitness.

Was skeptical, but signed up for APT in mid-June. I was surprised to discover that I really enjoyed pool exercising and the outcome is that it's only mid-Aug. and I feel better, am not huffing and puffing after doing a flight of stairs, and my clothes feel better. So, it must be working. The staff is patient, kind, and very supportive.

Have been going to APT classes (group, not private) for only a month now but I love it! The atmosphere is welcoming and the trainers are friendly, supportive and serious about their work. I go in the morning 2 or 3 times a week and generally take Brianna or Ron’s classes. Their workouts are varied and hit every muscle group. They demonstrate the moves, correct where necessary and continually encourage you to push yourself throughout the 45 minute classes - which leave me tired but very invigorated. I have more work to do personally to meet my goals but I’m extremely pleased to have found this place ( steered by good friends ) as I enjoy going to class, very much appreciate the opportunity to exercise without further stressing my bad knees, and know that I am doing something great for my health and well- being. Very highly recommend!!

John the owner and all the trainers are awesome in the Lawrenceville center. I feel like I get something different from each of them. They are real friendly as well. Right now I see the trainers 3xwk between the pool and anti gravity treadmill. I have knee issues and plantar fasciitis in my foot, I can comfortably use this treadmill with no pain. I missed a week at the center and I can honestly say I missed being there in that week. So glad I joined!

The absolute best decision I've made in a long time. This water workout enables me to really work hard without the painful aftermath as if I were working out in a gym. My ankles, knees and joints love the buoyancy....and the water resistance is merciful!! Jonas is a Beast of an instructor. He pushes me to go harder each week, but he is also concerned that I'm not overdoing it. I started in Mid Jan at 218 lbs. Today, March 8, I'm down 10 lbs!!
It's the water workouts for me. Personally, this is better than therapy for me. My orthopedic Dr recommended that I continue, especially since my joints feel better in the end.

APT is one of the best workouts I have done. Each workout is high energy and muscle building. I have increased mobility for jumping and running moves in the water, many of which due to knee and hip pain prevented me from doing the same moves on dry land. Make no mistake this is not your average water aerobics it is strength training at its best... which no matter the age or limitation is doable. I am hooked!

John and the staff of APT have been fantastic. John took the time to answer all my questions and even sent me a personalized welcome video. I've had 2 knee replacements and 2 torn Achilles Tendons so a workout that doesn't put stress on these areas was what I was looking for and I found it at APT. I love working out in water because I have arthritis in my hips and lower back. The workout is easy on my joints and after each session I feel like I has a great workout without being in pain. The instructors are hands-on and will give you options to modify my workout. The people in class are friendly and funny. I'm really enjoying myself.

My experience at APT in Princeton has been fantastic!!!!! The team is so involved with each persons goals, they know your name, ALL of the instructors are invested and want the best for you!!! Its the BEST thing that my doctor ever recommended. With the injuries I have, doing the therapy in the water is much less stress on my spine and ankle. During the shutdown and recovering from torn tendons in both shoulders I put on weight, became lazy and lost my zest for life. Do you love eating tacos, but hate working out? Welcome to my world! Let's be real, working out sucks, but exercising in a pool with actual gym equipment is a real treat, and it really makes things more fun and interesting. The classes are tough (in a good way), but the coaches are extremely welcoming and supportive, and I leave feeling good. i think this program is really good, i recommend it for anyone who is trying to get in shape and hates working out. it's fun and in the water. it is pretty challenging and you can feel you have worked out when you're done. it is tough but you can go at your own pace. the groups are encouraging and supportive, really nice people. the instructors are great and stay on top of you making sure you are doing it correctly, and try to motivate you to keep going.

I had been looking at APT since 2021 for myself but didn’t act on it because of procrastination. However in Januaryb2022 my 98 year old Dad had been having serious osteoarthritis issues and I just had to figure out different ways to help him without taking medicine because I’m this case medicine wasn’t helping. I spoke with Brianna in March 2022 and signed him up for a private sessions and my Dad LOVES it. We initially signed up for just once a week and now he comes twice a week. He looks forward to it and even though I have to get up super early in the morning it’s so worth it for me to see him feeling better.
I signed up in April 2022 and absolutely love it for myself! It’s a great workout and takes the pressure off of my joints. I love the water. My instructor Ron is great and the people in my class are wonderful as well. It’s great that I get to workout in a class while my Dad is in his private session. So happy to be a part of the APT Fam! I have been at APT for about three weeks and I love it. Great atmosphere. The trainers are very nice and respectful. Everyone is welcoming and the workouts are awesome; fun! Will recommend it to anyone who wants to be more active but don’t want to wake up the next day with pain. The water decreases the secondary effects of workout and acts as a fission and relaxing your muscles at the same time that would la them out. Absolutely love it!
