Art in Motion is an a welcome and amazing community. I've been taking Bachata lessons for 5 weeks now and absolutely love Darlin as an instructor. I've also been to two socials and the beginner lessons beforehand make it so that anyone can come have a great time. Love this place and the people!

Darlin Garcia is absolutely top tier, years of experience and championships, a skilled professional,patient, community oriented,humorous and will bring out the best in his students. Darlin is well known throughout the dance world, a creative choreographer and fun Director with an experienced ,knowledgeable staff of Dance Instructors. I had Darlin for beginners Salsa 1. He is an excellent instructor. He broke down the steps in a way I could visualize the execution of that step. I appreciate Darlin and AIM for getting me out of my comfort level, and helping me begin to be vulnerable again with dancing.

I underwent reconstructive surgery on my foot and have begun taking salsa classes to improve my dancing skills, as well as to enhance my cardiovascular fitness and aid in my recovery.

The classes are exceptional, and the instructors—Darlin, David, and Rob—are all outstanding. Their enthusiasm and energy are incredibly motivating, even on challenging days. Participating in these salsa classes has not only contributed positively to my foot rehabilitation but has also served as an excellent stress reliever, allowing me to connect with fellow dancers who share similar interests.

It has been over two years since I joined AIM. I was able to obtain a free class so I decided to go and check out some Salsa. The instructor was Darlin and he and the staff made that one experience enjoyable. I decided to sign up and continue. My first social event was at AIM and I arrived fairly late because I wasn't sure if I was going to have the courage to ask someone to dance. Fortunately, Lisa, one of the more advanced students asked me to dance. I'll never forget that because even though she was more experienced than me, she took the time to dance at my current level and to teach me new moves. I took this to heart and now do the same when dancing with people who are new to Salsa or any Latin dance. What I've come to learn and understand is that, this studio is a family, based on Godly principles and strives to share their love for dance with those that are interested. People from all walks of life and of different levels of dance come here to socialize but also help each other get better at this craft. No matter how little you know or advanced you are, you'll always be able to learn more and enjoy it while you do. There are always challenges in the classes to overcome, but your peers and the staff are there to help you accomplish those goals. It feels great to be able to make mistakes while dancing with a partner at a social but you both are able to laugh it off and try it again until you get it down. This place has really built my confidence. I hope to continue to pay it forward to newcomers and provide that same experience I received over 2 years ago.

AIM is more than a dance studio to me. From the moment I walked in the door almost 2 years ago, it felt like Home. I was warmly greeted at the desk and in my beginner bachata class, David made all of us feel so at ease and kept the energy light and fun the whole way through, while also teaching us the foundations of the dance. I was hooked after my 1st class!

I've taken the 8 week salsa & bachata courses with David and Darlin, as well as Rob's Cha-Cha class for the last 2 years and always the classes are the right blend of fun, light hearted-ness, with solid technique and true learning taking place. I went from never having taken any couple dancing lessons in my life (age 40!) to being a very well equipped and confident social dancer, thanks to everything I've learned at AIM.

I've made friends I consider my dance family and I find it hard to fathom leaving NJ because I would miss my Dance Home!

It is also evident that the owners consider it their heartfelt mission to run this dance studio for the good of the whole community - it is a very family-friendly place, with children happily running around and people becoming friends. I have always felt safe there, fellow dancers are respectful and we are all taught to be so. I truly feel like a part of the AIM dance family and I encourage everyone I know to try it out!

The owner, Darlin Garcia refers to his students as “dance family “ Even though he is a world Latin dance champion, he is gracious, funny & compassionate. I have taken classes at several other studios, and always return to AIM because of the excellent instruction and friendly atmosphere. ( I drive 40 miles each way, some students travel from Delaware or New York. I also take classes with Rob Grisko, another skilled instructor who knows how to make an all levels Cha Cha class fun & interesting for beginners and intermediate students alike.

My daughter was taking class here and they have all the way so much favoritism omg!! So obvious, not good when your really a professional you have to treat everyone the same. I will never take my kids here and the other 2 mothers I talked too they won't. FOR the same reason. Shame

Unfortunately I don’t believe this studio is a safe place for LGBTQ folks. One of the owners on social media is quite outspoken with her beliefs and the owner Darlin seems quite sexist in the female leads always being silent and essentially just props during classes and workshops. I did not enjoy my time there.

I've taken a few classes at AIM back in 2019 and my son has also taken the Move With Me class less than a year ago. I love the classes offered although I will miss the afro-latin class. Looking forward to coming back and bringing friends with me once I settle into my new job after being out of work for so long. I'd give 10 stars if I could. The location, class schedule, couples night-out, and showcases are everything!

I've been a student of Darlin's for over 8 years traveling out of state all that time. I've done 2 Proam's one with Liz Becarra before she retired, and Sharonne from 2013 -2016. I've put in over 120 hours of private lessons over the course of 8 year mostly with Darlin and a split between Sharonne and Liz of around 25 hours with each. Competition preparations is challenging for the student and the coach as sometimes students think they put in the necessary work only to realize that they could have done more. The dance community can be a real blessing and also sometimes be very cut throat towards dance studios and sometimes even dance politics gets involved. Darlin tends to side step as much of that nonsense as he can. Darlin has always been great coach, he's fair, honest, supportive to his students and really tries to bring out your best. Liz and Sharonne are both great instructors, hard workers, and great performers.

Pleasent /friendly environment. Classes are structured very well ,allowing a nice transition between levels. Beginner class are very well taught and built with just the right pace(not too slow ,no too fast), giving the right amount of challenge that is needed for a pleasant learning. In my opinion is the n.1 place to go for refinement of the technique, the intermediate classes are hard to beat anywhere else in the area.

The classes are very good. Darlin is an excellent teacher. Ww not only learn the dance lessons but we enjoy ourselves throughout the class. The classes are a nice size, not too big and not too small. The instructor makes sure you are performing the dances correctly as well. I would recommend this studio.

Took classes at the Philly location & Darlin always made me feel uncomfortable. He never remembered who I was despite several classes & it felt kind of clique-ish. Also rumors of their inappropriate behavior while away at congresses & conferences despite him & his wife being Christian just made me more uncomfortable.
