My daughter has been going to Astro for 3 years now, and I have nothing but positive things to say about the facility and people. The coaches are very supportive to the students and truly love what they do. They offer a lot of encouragement and are great teachers. Other students in my daughter’s classes over the years have also been supportive of one another, cheering each other on and applauding each other’s newest accomplishments. Astro has a wide variety of levels for students, which is great for all abilities and allows for progression at their own pace. They also host competitions for the more advanced students, where they can show off their skills in front of family. The facilities are also well maintained, continuously updated, and clean. I couldn’t be happier that we found this gymnastics center!

My daughter started here a couple of weeks ago and we love it! She has fun and the facility is amazing. The staff is very friendly and super attentive during classes. The overall atmosphere is great. My daughter Madalena is thriving at Astro. This is our 2nd or 3rd attempt at gymnastics and this is the first time she reminds us that it is time to leave for class! I love Astro so much! I used to do gymnastics when I was a lot younger, but I wanted to try again, so I came to Astro. The coaches are so supportive and accommodating, and the gym is so nice. I remember the first time my mom came in and she said, “Wow, it doesn’t smell like feet!” I agree. It doesn’t. The coaches motivate you and make you feel accomplished. I have improved so much while i’ve been on the team there.

My youngest daughter has been at Astro for going on four years now. She did two years of classes and has been on the Home Team going on her second year with it. She LOVES Astro! She has learned so much and shows off to us her gymnastics moves, and we have had to buy gymnastics mats and other equipment to accommodate her love of the sport. The staff and owners are amazing. My wife and I cannot be happier with our relationship with Astro and the family environment they promote. They offer a plethora of extra-curricular activities on top of the classes and Home Team. I highly recommend this gym and all of the programs they offer!

If I can give this place a ZERO I would this place is absolutely trash I can’t believe how rude and disrespectful the staff was especially this girl coach called Elie. She absolutely RUDE and thinks she is smart by whispering comments under her breath. She was rude and unapproachable, especially when it came to my son’s participation in an activity. Everyone deserves a chance to participate, and her attitude made the experience uncomfortable. I am absolutely so frustrated at this horrible experience. Don’t go here! Astro Gymnastics Center - Disappointing and Unprofessional

I had high hopes for Astro Gymnastics Center, but my experience was far from positive. First, the facility itself seemed outdated and poorly maintained. The equipment appeared worn out, and the cleanliness of the gym was definitely lacking, which is concerning for a place where kids are constantly moving around and touching everything.

My child ended up feeling lost in the crowd, and there was little focus on safety, with kids running around unsupervised between stations.

One of the most disturbing parts of our experience was with Coach Miss Elie who was incredibly rude and, frankly, displayed racist behaviour towards us. Her tone and attitude were completely unprofessional, and it made us feel extremely uncomfortable. It’s unacceptable for any coach to treat families this way, and it was disappointing to see such behavior in an environment meant to be inclusive and supportive for children.

In addition, communication from the center was subpar. We were often left in the dark about schedule changes or upcoming events until the last minute, making it difficult to plan.

Overall, Astro Gymnastics failed to meet my expectations in both service and atmosphere. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a welcoming, high-quality gymnastics experience for your child.

Astro Gymnastics gave my daughter an opportunity to gain new friends, taught her responsibilities and discipline. A completely inflexible, scam program with absolutely no service, designed to get the most money out of you. They say their goal is to provide an excellent experience but our experience is that they have one overarching goal and that is how to make the most profit and money out of their customers.

They have the most ridiculous rules for charging you an extra two months when you cancel your registration, forcing you to buy new home team uniforms when you don’t need them, and forcing you to pay for competitions you can’t attend due to travel plans (or they kick your daughter off the team). The competition dates are not announced at registration, the dates are changed at the last minute and they still expect you to pay if you can’t attend. Their rules are ridiculous and very clearly meant to force money out of parents without any logic or rhyme or reason. We have never in our 1.5 years here been met with kindness, a smile or understanding - even when our daughter broke her finger and was unable to finish the season because of that, they wouldn’t refund/prorate our payment for the last two months. The only reason we are here is because our daughter has friends who go here and she wants to be with them.. Find somewhere else if you can!

Be aware of giving them your bank account information!! My child used to go there (twice a week for a monthly fee $200. After a couple months they’ve decided to change their schedule for my son’s class and made 3 times a week instead of 2 and increased fees to $293 a month. I talked to Ms. Alexandra and I said: first, we can’t do 3rd day a week (because of my work schedule) and second, I couldn’t afford that much. She said ok, we can stay in the same schedule (for a few months). BUT!!!! Next month they’ve changed me $293!!! I asked them about refund of $93 but they didn’t!!! I said in this case I’ll go to the bank to dispute this transaction! Alexandra was sooooooo rude to me saying “you can go wherever you want and do whatever you want!!!”
P.S. they didn’t have any permission to charge me $293 (they’ve sent me additional agreement to sign, but I didn’t because I spoke with Ms.Alexandra).
Thanks my bank, I’ve explained them everything and got my money!!

Also! When I gave left them my 1 star, they’ve sent me a couple rude e-mails!!

My daughter’s just started there this year. We attended 3 weeks without any issue. Yesterday my oldest daughters (5 years old) coach was out sick. One of the owners, who didn’t introduce herself to the girls or ask them their name was filling in. She was extremely short with the young girls from the beginning. My daughter went to do warm ups. Apparently at some point she asked the substitute coach/owner if she could come to me. She was told “no” and to “continue warm ups”. After warm ups the entire class came to get drinks. My daughter came running to me hysterical, unable to catch her breath and sobbing that “she just wanted me”. she kept saying she ”wants to leave” and that ”lady is so mean”. We left. She then explained to me that she asked to come to me because she felt she was going to be sick to her stomach and was told no. My oldest is hesitant of strangers and did not know this woman enough to open up that she wasn’t feeling well. My daughter told me she never wants to go back there, the lady scared her and she does not want to do gymnastics anywhere anymore because of this. I emailed them requesting a refund for the rest of the session due to this circumstance and they are refusing to refund me. I am a single mom with no additional financial support from my daughters father. I am also a nurse who worked 3 extra shifts in order to pay the almost $700 for both of my girls. I am sick to my stomach over this situation. I don’t want anyone else’s children to be mistreated like this

Astro Instructors are professionals. My daughter loves going there. You can tell how much work and effort the management puts into the curriculum. As a parent, I like the fact that they take it very seriously and plan the lessons well. If you want your child to learn and make progress in gymnastics, Astro is the place for them.

Bad Business People. I enrolled 3 children, obviously knowing it would be Costly. But being this place is also located directly next to a HomeFront building, should have been a Red Flag to not pay the amount they were asking for. As the parent, I was not even given the courtesy of being introduced to Who I was handing my money to, along with the women that answers the phone and Who my children were placed with as they’re “teacher” that was actually a Young teen. Still don’t know anyone’s name. One of my step children unknowingly to me, would only make it to One class. Understanding she did make it to ONE class, I asked if it was possible for a partial refund, NOT even a full. And the women would not budge. Don’t waste your time and money, send your child to GymLand.

My 4-year old child has been going to Astro Gymnastics since April 2023. We have since signed up for one additional summer session and looking forward to their 10-week fall program. Since joining Astro's gymnastics program, my child has been more confident with moving his body. Where do I start. It is with the deepest and most profound respect that these owners have shown me as a coach that has led me to write this review. These people treat their coaches customers and chidren with profound professionalism and extreme respect love and attention. Working for this gym and these owners has been the best and greatest experience I've had in the last 3years. They have never spoken to me illy, they have held me to a standard, they have promoted as promised and they have communicated everything to me whenever it was necessary. If there is anything wrong with this gym, I'm sorry but I can't find anything wrong, because in my honest opinion this gym and its owners are perfect. Perfect with how they treat their coaches perfect with how they treat customers, perfect with how they treat the children that come to the gym. Do not miss out on a great opportunity to either have your children go to astro, or even work for them. Astro gymnastics care for their customers and their coaches and they will tell you point blank and they will show you they care about their customers and coaches. If there is anything I would change about astro it would be NOTHING, astro is doing everything right in my opinion there is no need to change. I absolutely love this gym, its children, its owners and its coaches. If you're in the area make sure you check out astro gymnastics I guarantee you're making a great decision.

If I could give this place a zero, I would. My daughter was so excited to start gymnastics but when week 3 came around she got into the car crying asking to go somewhere else. She does not understand what the instructor is saying so rather than seeing a child doing the wrong thing and getting down on their level to make sure they understand, this instructor put her hands on the back of my daughter’s neck (several times) to direct where she needed to go, put her hand up to block her as she was walking because I’m assuming she was not supposed to go that way, and repeatedly put her at the end of the line. This all could have been avoided if she just took a second to make sure she could understand what she was saying rather than ignore and move on. I reached out to the office explaining the situation and requested a refund because she only made it to 3 sessions. As I’m aware their contract says you have 2 weeks but I would still think they would see this was not right. However, they responded by saying they made note of the situation and will discuss with the staff. They refused to give anything back, but said my daughter could finish out her weeks…why would I make my daughter continue to go somewhere that made her so uncomfortable and treated her like that?! They’re strictly about money and have zero interest in any child’s well-being. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

TERRIBLE!! If your child has any medical disabilities DO NOT send your child! No one reviewed our daughters profile prior to her beginning her first class! She is in remission from cancer and has been wanting to learn gymnastics for over 3 years and could not because of cancer and covid. Her very first class she came out after 10 minutes with a rash and needing an inhaler. Had they reviewed her chart they would have know we were coming to build her strength back. Now our daughter is discouraged , and doesn't want to attend, unfortunately "policy" says we wouldn't get our money back. They made an exception, and out of $234, gave us back $131 after 10 minutes. Terrible, and the owner was absolutely RUDE.

My daughter Ava is enrolled in the Wednesday 5:00 class and the gymnastics studio and teacher are absolutely fantastic. This is her first year in this studio and by far the best one she has attended. She is having an absolute blast with the staff and class. Awful policies, I should have known when I was signing my daughter up 2 weeks late and they wouldn’t prorate the cost. So they gave me 2 make up dates. That seemed fair until my daughter was sick for one of them and apparently you must cancel 24 hours in advance. My child was sick the day of, not 24 hours prior. NO make up date for that unless you cancel 24 hours in advance, and the Wed make up date we attended was a basically empty class with 3 girls in it. It’s not like it’s over crowded.

The 2nd strike was when we were coming from a great distance, through a ton of traffic and we’re 20 min late. Deidra at the front desk told me if we’re more than 15 min late, we can’t participate the rest of the time. It’s not like they stretch for 15 min. I’m done, back to Schafer, the owner is so arrogant, I doubt I’ll get the refund I requested
