Not your average CrossFit. Jenai has created an environment where everyone will feel welcomed and included. The Bellum family comes in all shapes, sizes, and ages with no pressure to "look" a certain way. I'm proud to be a part of such a supporting and loving family.

I wish there was an option for more than 5 stars. I joined Bellum when I was a sophomore in high school (over 8 years ago) & have loved it ever since, even so much that I decided to take the CrossFit coaches course to continue to become a coach. The atmosphere of Bellum is not tailored to one type of person - Bellum, & CrossFit in general, is made for everyone. One of my favorite things is that I workout here with some of my family members. Growing up playing competitive sports, I knew that working out alone or in a traditional gym was not going to do it for me. CrossFit still gives me competitive edge because there is always room to improve, new skills to learn, & goals to reach. I highly recommend Bellum to those who are looking to try something new & improve their lives physically & mentally! I can’t imagine my life without it.

Wow, I have to say that Bellum is an amazing gym to be a part of! It's not like any ordinary gym, it's a community that you can rely on. I just love how this place keeps me accountable and motivated so that I can make the most of my membership. Recently, we even participated in the city's St. Patrick's Day Parade, which was so much fun! It's just a testament to how inclusive and community-driven this gym is. The best part is that there are coaches at every class to help you with your form and guide you on what modifications you need for the workout, no matter your fitness level. I can't recommend Bellum enough, it has truly made me feel stronger and more confident!

I first brought my two kids to Bellum in 2017 for kids classes and immediately fell in love with the community and atmosphere. It took me a year to summon the guts to try a class. I kick myself for not starting soon. I’ve always been active but between the knowledge of the coaches and the environment I would have never stuck with an average gym. Even when I was diagnosed with arthritis in both my knees the coaches helped modify workouts and worked one on one with me to improve my mobility and strength. I honestly wouldn’t be walking without their help. Now both my husband and daughter have bi-weekly training sessions. I love working out with my kid.

Great locally owned gym! Don’t let the fact that it’s CrossFit deter you. Athletes of all skill level are welcome and treated like family. I have mobility issues and use a cane but I work out three days a week without any problems. everything can be modified to your needs. The coaches are amazing and have created a fully supportive environment for everyone.

I have been going to Bellum G-City CrossFit for 2 years now. Before that I hadn’t worked out seriously in almost 20 years and was very nervous about trying to get into shape. Everyone at the gym is extremely welcoming and makes you feel very comfortable. Going to a new gym, let alone a CrossFit gym is very intimidating but thankfully everyone from the coaches to all the members and their families erased all the fears I had and made it feel like “home”. This place is the opposite of all of the stereotypes you hear about CrossFit! If you ever thought about doing CrossFit but were intimidated, this is the place to be!

I've been coming to Bellum/G-city CrossFit for almost 3 years now and I love it. I had gone to various local gyms for many years but don't know enough about how to design an effective workout routine to have it really make much of a difference for me. Here, however, I show up for a class, the workout (with variations for different strength and ability levels) has already been created by someone who knows infinitely more than I do, the coaches are there to lead, encourage, challenge and watch out for you (to make sure you are doing all the movements correctly and safely), and, I think best of all, there is a great community of people to work out with. I end up working out both smarter and harder than I ever could on my own. Now, having just turned 50, I'm stronger than I've ever been in my life and I enjoy going to the gym every time.

Started with Bellum just a few months ago and it’s been the best few months. Between the amazing coaches, the amazing group of people, and just the environment in general it is the best gym. Editing to say- it has now been over 8 years of being members here. I have trained with utmost support through two pregnancies and can now add my support of the kids programs that have been added over time! We have seen members come and go, always on happy terms, and everyone greets you every class with a smiling face and cheers for my kids doing their own workout in the corner just as hard as they do the regular members. There couldn't be a better atmosphere.

My husband and I joined Bellum almost a year ago, and we are still just as in love with it as the first day we walked in! The coaches are knowledgeable beyond just the sport of Crossfit, but also in general injury prevention and personalized motivation. One of the things we love about this box is that there are no prescribed weights - you move the amount you are feeling comfortable with on any given day. But the coaches also know just how much to push you so that you are always getting the most out of your workouts!

My husband had a pre-existing injury that required surgery when we joined, and all of the coaches were always accommodating and aware of his limitations both prior to, and as he recovered from, the surgery. He is know almost 100% back to full strength - but they still remember to check in on him when we are doing movements that might affect him.

From your first step into the gym, you are welcomed by the coaches and members as a new part of the family - and pushed and inspired to do improve yourself at the pace that best fits your lifestyle.

My wife and I have been coming to Bellum regularly for over 8 years and I don't see us ever stopping. I started doing typical strength training nearly 18 years ago but was drawn to CrossFit and its varied style of workouts, especially in conditioning. After some research into the methodology, I was convinced it was the best and safest program out there to be universally “fit” and my wife and I quickly joined. From the beginning, we were welcomed into the gym by everyone there, and to this day it doesn’t matter what shape you are in, you will be welcomed and encouraged.
If you have ever been on the fence about trying this out, just do it. After 8 years, I can say that this is the healthiest I’ve ever been. From strength, conditioning, nutrition, mobility, to body awareness, this gym will cover it all and make it a journey that you’ll never forget.

Updated March 2024: I’ve now been coming to the gym for 7 years. Bellum has a great blend of people who have been here for years with newer faces as well. The coaches are great, and they adapt workouts to your ability level (so no need to be intimidated).

A year after WLS surgery I knew I needed to incorporate more exercise into my life. A normal gym membership just wasn’t cutting it as I wasn’t staying consistent and I wasn’t enjoying it. Enter in Bellum and BOOM! My entire mentality towards exercise has changed. Two years in and I still look forward to the work outs. The strength and knowledge I have gained is amazing.

I am no stranger to weight training and athletics but after hearing many stories of friends getting injured doing CrossFit I was cautious. Except working out on my own was allowing me to skip what I didn’t like/wasn’t good at so my progress was limited. I love coming to bellum and wish I’d done it sooner. The atmosphere is welcoming. The community is diverse in fitness level, age, and personality. The coaches are super knowledgeable and always provide modifications while still pushing athletes to do things they didn’t think they could. I get encouragement and motivation from my fellow athletes and we celebrate each others’ progress. The variety in workouts means I don’t get bored and also means I’m not skipping the things I don’t like. Come see how much fun it can be to get in shape!

Fun, friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Everyone roots for each other so it's easy to progress. The coaches are knowledgeable and attentive. I was introduced to bellum through their kids' program. My daughter took classes and really enjoyed what she was doing. I instantly loved Jenai. And it was clear that the environment at Bellum was exceptional. I sat on the "should i do crossfit" fence for years. I took advantage of a few groupons for other gyms. But nothing felt right and I knew that, eventually, I'd end up at bellum.

I finally swallowed the fact that, like anything worthwhile, it required considerable financial investment and joined the gym in December. It was every single thing that I imagined it would be. Classes are FUN. Coaches are fastidious regarding form and prioritize functional movement and longevity over putting up heavy weights. Workouts are challenging but scaleable. And the community could not be more supportive. My membership is worth every cent that it costs.

My absolute favorite thing about working out here is the focus on what your body is capable of instead of what your body looks like. All body shapes, sizes and abilities are welcomed and celebrated. I could not possibly say enough about how amazing and supportive this community is.

Awesome Crossfit family. Walking into the gym as a newbie for personal training to start learning the techniques for class I was so nervous. As soon as I walked in the door my nerves were gone. Everyone is very welcoming and made me feel part of the family! I have learned so much from the coaches but also from the other members. If I need help, someone is there supporting me and encouraging me to keep going. This type of workout was not anything I have done before but I am so glad I walked in the door. After 3 months I feel stronger and notice pushing myself to add more every class. If you're looking for a family community that pushes to make you feel better about yourself this is the place to be.

I've been a part of the Bellum community for a little over a year. Before I first walked into the gym for my No Sweat Intro, I was intimidated and didn't think I was capable of doing a crossfit workout, but my fears were instantly dissipated when I encountered the coaches and members. Bellum creates a welcoming environment where everyone encourages each other in their journey toward health and wellness.

In my first few introductory sessions, Coach Jenai made sure to instruct me thoroughly and kindly, offering valuable feedback that really focused on good form and preventing injury. She also took the extra time to show me how each piece of equipment and various movements worked, without me even asking, so that when I showed up to my first class, I could seamlessly join the group without holding up the class with my (seemingly endless) questions. I went from 8 years of half-heartedly stopping and starting various workout regimens to attending 5-6 CrossFit classes a week, because I LOVED it.

Each class I attend has me learning something new or practicing a skill, and finishes with a great workout. The classes are small enough that I feel like I am in a personal training session (with a few other folks joining in), but have enough energy generated to keep me going when the workouts get tough. The coaches are attentive to my every movement, correcting as necessary to promote efficiency and wellness and prevent injury. They'll also help push you past mental barriers in a tough workout or on a heavy lift.

Now, just over a year later, I can jump higher, run faster (and farther!), do squats, lunges, and pushups, and lift heavier weights than I ever expected to be able to do. I feel empowered and proud of what I am capable of doing, and the community at Bellum has been my biggest cheerleader all along the way. The friendships I've made at this gym and the progress I see every day keep me coming back, and will keep me coming back for a long, long time.

If you have ever wanted to try CrossFit, Bellum is your place. I have been a member for almost 4 years, and have loved it since day one. This gym is something special!! The owners and coaches are amazing...completely knowledgeable about the sport, encouraging, and truly care about each and every member. The members are welcoming, push each other to do better each day, and add to the enjoyable atmosphere of the gym.
One of my favorite things about Bellum is the completely different levels of athleticism from one athlete to the other. The workouts can be modified as needed, so everyone feels welcome and included in each class.
Bellum has much more to offer than just CrossFit classes. There are numerous kids classes, personal training, yoga, Olympic lifting and nutrition planning, to name a few. My kids have participated in some of the kids classes, and have loved being a part of them. I Love starting my kids on a healthy, fit journey at such a young age.
You cannot go wrong with giving Bellum a try...there is a something for everyone at this gym!

I cannot speak more highly of Bellum. I'm a retired 2 sport collegiate athlete and I was looking to get back into working out but I was not really getting much out of doing it alone. The Bellum athletes are nothing less than amazing!! The are the all so nice and supportive, but can give you that competitive edge to really dig deep through a workout. It's really a family atmosphere which is what I like the most. The coaches are phenomenal as well. I was always reluctant to start crossfit because all I heard was "it's heavy lifting with no focus on form" , and that is so far from the truth. These coaches put so much time into focusing on form and execution and force you to listen to your body so that things are done in the proper manner. I came to Bellum with constant back pain and couldn't sit in my office chair for more than an hour. I am two months in and with the coaches amazing instruction I no longer encounter ANY back pain throughout the day!! They pay attention to each athlete during the workout and will give you the help you need to execute a good and healthy lift. Over all the athletes and coaches at Bellum are phenomenal and I'm so happy to be part of such an amazing new family.

I've been strength training for 15 years and CrossFit training for 8 years and Bellum has one of the most well rounded programs I've ever seen. Not only are you doing CrossFit workouts, but there are plenty of loaded carries and single-arm single-leg work included in the programming to make sure everyone stays injury free and prevent muscle imbalances. If you've been thinking about joining a gym stop thinking and come to Bellum. Everyone is there to have fun and put in work at the same time. The community couldn't be more supportive.

I joined Bellum a little over one month ago and was hesitant at first due to the rigorous nature of the workouts. I have never been very athletic but I was looking for a challenge, a new hobby, and a fun way to switch up boring workout routines. In Bellum I have found all of that and a community that inspires me to be the best that I can be in every workout. The coaches are all incredibly helpful in finding ways to adapt workouts to my personal fitness level and improve my weaknesses. In one month, I notice myself finishing workouts with more endurance and getting comfortable with the olympic lifts.

The spirit of the gym is truly one of comraderie and I have never felt intimidated or out of place. When I am taking a bit more time to complete a workout, those who finished ahead of me cheer me on and encourage me to finish strong! I could not be happier with my decision to join Bellum!

I walked into Bellum six months ago, 51 years old, in decent shape but looking to lose some fat, gain some muscle, and build bone mass. I never dreamed that I would love CrossFit as much as I do and see the results I have seen in such a short time. I'll admit I was afraid at first, having heard how difficult the workouts are, but the top-notch trainers were, and still are, at my side, guiding me along. There are people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels, and the coaches at Bellum make the workouts "work" for everyone. I am in the best shape of my life and having fun while doing it.
