I changed my review from a year ago to this one star now. After telling the staff that I needed to pause my membership due to health reasons, they confirmed it was okay. Then my credit card started getting billed a few months later without my knowledge. I contacted the gym and reminded the staff that it shouldn’t be active. I also blocked future charges with my bank. That’s when the owner turned it over to their collection agency who hounded me relentlessly, even at work. I then refused to discuss it further with them and gave up communicating with the gym.

Affordable membership. Great environment. Friendly staff. Constantly improving. It has been nice to see that since the new management has taken over, there have been constant upgrades to the place (new and additional equipment, classes, trainers, etc.). Glad to be a part of the family at Big Rich Fitness.

I love this gym. Staff are great and the gym is kept super clean. The absolute worse thing was a gentlemen walking around shirtless, showing off to others. The next day there were signs hung everywhere to keep your clothes on. Besides one guy who I havent seen since, the other members are very respectful and everyone keeps to themselves. The price is also insanely affordable for what it is. I hope it stays this way. I pay $30 right now.

Big Rich Fitness is an AWESOME gym! The husband-and-wife owners genuinely care about their members—you’re not just another face here. They greet everyone by name, always take the time to chat, and have built a real sense of community. Since taking over the space, they’ve made countless improvements and continue to add high-quality equipment every year. Word on the street is they’re even looking to expand with more strength, powerlifting, and strongman equipment… plus a potential pickleball court! Honestly, what more could you want in a gym?

A Very nice gym. It has a good smoothie bar, and is expanding into Strongman. I would suggest a stronger power rack with safety bars. Staff are friendly and if you need a drink besides the smoothie there's a refrigerator full of drinks to choose from including energy drinks.

Had a really great first impression and it went all downhill from there, the staff went from friendly and professional to a handful of kids that sit behind the counter on their cell phones

After about six months, the gym is really starting to smell bad when you walk in the door it’s very sour. I’ve never seen any employee ever clean while I was there.

I lost count of the number of times that I had to go to the front desk and ask for paper towels so that I could fill the rolls for them. I give them a three out of five because they had a great first impression and I hope they can get back to that standard one day

This has been my gym for quite a few years. Even before when it was Retro Fitness. Rich has made some changes and nice upgrades since he took over and keeps up with it very well. Vibe is quite chill here. Gym has everything you need to get a good workout in. The outdoor area and cross fit section in a nice bonus too.

Honestly this place doesn’t EVEN deserve one star. The people in the front when i come in at night sometimes are extremely unpleasant and rude. I asked for membership and this one man got really snappy and rude. Like there’s no reason for that, i was speaking very genuine to him and he caught an attitude.. Also WHY ARE MEN MOANING IN THE GYM??? ITS WEIRD. This place clearly needs some professional help.

I really love this gym! The owner, Rich is a great guy and you can tell he takes great pride in his gym. The female employee there is super nice and went out of her way to help me find my phone (which I left at the bench press). I recently moved to Lumberton, NJ & I signed up for Big Rich Fitness in October of 2023. My first time walking in, I was giving a warm welcome by one of the employees who also offered me a tour of the gym. Like most people, I don't like crowded gyms or equipment hoggers. But, the people there are communicative and welcoming. The owner is a very great guy, and his team of employees are a great reflection to his business. Overall, great energy and people!
