Main instructor is patient and fair, but also firm. Absolutely perfect balance for instilling discipline while maintaining a positive environment. I have known Mr. Bill Stevens, basically my whole life. When I began my martial career around 1983, “Billy” was a green belt & was one of the older kids I admired. To say he was one of the best students in our school, would not have been a stretch. And I KNEW, I wanted to be like that guy!!!

Fast forward. I was given a job as an assistant martial arts instructor at another martial arts school. Through my continued training, I again met up with Mr. Stevens, as we trained together, briefly, in Brazilian jujitsu. Watching him grapple, once again, I said to myself, “I wanna be like THAT guy!”

As a life-long martial artist, I can honestly & legitimately state, Mr. Bill Stevens is a phenomenal martial artist. He’s the martial artist that other martial artists want to be!

When I had my children, there was no choice needed - it is an HONOR to have Mr. Stevens teach my children.

When we think of martial arts, karate, Tae Kwon Do, most people think about fighting. And while that is a significant part of it, it is only a portion.

Bill Stevens Karate is an excellent place for kids and adults to learn martial arts. My daughter and son have been coming here for quite some time. I also attend BJJ classes here. This family/community-oriented place teaches martial arts while reinforcing life lessons (ex., confidence, positive attitude, humility, etc.).

There are many reasons why my wife and I chose this place. We chose this place primarily because Master Bill Stevens and his staff are great. They keep kids continuously engaged throughout each lesson. Another big plus is that his schedule is flexible, and he offers a wide variety of class times, which makes it easier for my wife and me to schedule lessons, given our busy schedules.

Aside from this, I like the location, the app, and the place is clean. He periodically hosts Game Night on Friday, allowing my wife and me to grab dinner without the kids. Lastly, Bill is easy to work with and talk to if something unexpected arises. I recommend you check it out.

My two boys have been attending classes here for almost 4 years (7y/o), and almost one year (4 y/o). The experience is second to none. Master Stevens is a proffessional, and is amazing with kids. Over the years I have seen him handle various situations with nothing but patience and professionalism. We were referred by close friends after expressing a wish that our son would focus more. The mix of physical activity and mental training has been very helpful. Master Stevens teaches kids to look each other in the eye, shake hands, and to respect others. As an example, my favorite exercise to watch is when the kids introduce themselves and have to remember each other’s names a short time later. This sounds like a simple exercise, but it is one of the little things that is profoundly important, and missing in today’s “me first” culture. I would recommend Bill Stevens Karate to anyone.

We have seven children ages 3 to 13 in our family, and we have been taking advantage of the monthly “family plan” for almost two months. We have all really enjoyed being a part of Bill Stevens' Karate. Within the first few weeks our three year old said, “Me wuv my teacher” (translation: I love my teacher). My 6 year old son has been coming here for 2 years and absolutely loves it and my 4 year old has been training for about a month. They both really look forward to class so as their parents, we couldn't be happier. Master Stevens is terrific with the kids which which really helps the kids learn. I have been attending Bill Stevens Karate School for 10 years. Bill and the other instructors are professional, trained, and work fantastic with the children. I personally have learned many extremely valuable lessons over the many years that I have been training there. Not only have I been trained the arts of Tae-Kwon-Do, Muay Thai, and Ju-Jitsu, I also have learned many valuable life lessons that make me the person who I am today. My training, and experience at Bill Stevens Karate has been indescribable. I have learned self-dicipline, control, respect, optimism, maintaining mental and physical health, focus, determination, consistency, and many other positive attributes to my behavior, and physical fitness. The most valuable part of my experience at Bill Stevens is the Student Creed. At the end of every class, the students recite the student creed. This is a pledge and a reminder, to use what we learn in class only for good, not for evil, to develop self discipline, and refuse anything that would reduce mental growth or physical health. The creed is a meaningful message to all students about the morals of not only karate but life. All these lessons in which I have learned from Stevens Karate, have made me a better person. I would 100% recommend this Karate School to anyone who is looking for a place for themselves or their children to learn the martial arts. This school is a very clean, and family friendly facility. Classes were personal and a blast to have. I particularly enjoyed the self-defense sessions, definitely felt more practical. Overall I enjoyed my time in the classes.

Though sadly I never learned how to rip the heart out of a man, or how to eat it and gain their power. I was hoping that would be in included.

I had Bill Stevens as my instructor for Karate as a class I took in college. The combination of Bill's warm personality and proficient content knowledge made the class more than enjoyable each week. Never having taken any karate or defense class, I learned a great deal of techniques and have become much more confident. I loved his class so much I followed up with a free trial class in kickboxing. The kickboxing class provided me with a more intimate experience with the instructor because there were less students. Bill pushed me to my full potential and made sure that I got a workout that left me wanting to come back.

My two boys 11 and 15 are currently enrolled in Bill Steven's Karate School and have been since they were 4 and 8. They have both benfited from the structure and discipline provided here, and the experience has built their confidence. As a result they've both established better relationships with peers and really look forward to the classes. As a parent I like the level of physical fitness and discipline the kids get.
