Overly rude staff. I called to inquire about my account and was told off by their staff, refused to tell me who I was speaking with, to offer any kind of solution and kept referring to some arbitrary policy without any context whatsoever. This is still the worst gym. I used to go here then they closed through the pandemic and would not allow members to cancel. I really like this gym. Everyone is very nice.
But some complaints are: Six treadmills or more are out of order. And many more are working but will not incline.
In men's bathroom one of 3 sinks is out of order. Also one of two soap dispensers is empty. Please do some repairs and the gym will be great.

I am disappointed with the unprofessional customer service of Gelaan. I bought a hoodie which was a little tight on me. I brought it to change size next morning but it wasn’t available. I asked to give me a different one but I was not allowed. I was not given a refund and she said she will check other locations and get one size larger. But that never happened. It been two three months already. Every time I go ask for Gelaan apparently she is in a meeting. Then I have to speak to whoever is available at the front desk. After three four times trying to get the status of my exchange I was told that I will be refunded. To this day I am not refunded and Gelaan has not bothered to contact me and explain what is going on.

As with most Blink Fitnesses - clean and neat, no classes. Make sure you know the cancellation policy (in NJ it's 45 days notice - plan accordingly)

Really enjoy how much equipment is at Blink Clifton: 5 squat racks, 2 smith machines, 6 stair masters, 2 manual treadmills (you move the belt/it goes faster the harder you run), and many treadmills that will let you run past the 1 hr mark without automatically starting a cool down

Update: not sure if the higher temperature in the gym was due to volume of people or the days I went were really cold out but it's been feeling like a sauna lately once moving and working out

I have been very iffy about starting my fitness journey since COVID but I stumbled into blink one day and the people there and the vibe was very friendly and welcoming. I spoke with Mark Dunai one of the personal trainers and he was really helpful at getting me started on this journey. I've been a member since 2014 and I can testify to the way that things have gone down hill in means of cleanliness. It could be that people take pride in something that's new but fast forward 10 years and it seems as if the attentiveness is no longer there. Not a big deal but since the COVID pandemic I don't see the urgency to maintain the facility clean. You can witness dust accumulating under the machines and every time I visit it is almost guaranteed that a piece of equipment is (on the BLINK!!) out of commission due to the usage! Membership fees are within other local gyms. I do like the free weights and that there's plenty of parking easy on, off from route 46.

A lot of machines that aren’t used should be switched out for machines that are needed. They don’t even have a decline bench. And before you say well there’s other ways to do lower. Yes it’s true. But you can’t tell me that’s better than doing it on a machine made for lower chest. And lockers are small.

I recently visited Blink Fitness Gym and had a disappointing experience. The front desk staff were unprofessional, displaying a noticeable attitude. They were more focused on their phones than on attending to gym members, which made me feel ignored and undervalued. The main issue most Blinks have in the nearby area, especially this one, the locker room showers are an absolute mess. The showers are mostly always left scattered with remnants of previous gym goers items such as bar soap, used razors, and underwear all laid out in the shower floor. It feels like it’s never kept clean all day. As a person who likes to go to the gym at night, it’s infuriating having to walk into the locker rooms with a constant putrid smell and shower in a messy shower environment after a long workout. I feel like the staff doesn’t care since this has been a constant issue. Not to mention I never see a janitor on-site during the night hours. Whereas other commercial gyms in the nearby area have dedicated janitors keeping the environment clean at all times.

Another thing I wish they would improve upon is closing the gym at 12am on weekdays rather than 11pm. I feel like it would benefit that particular location since there’s a gym in the nearby area that also closes 12 am. This Blink would get a lot more revenue closing at 12am on weekdays.

The atmosphere in this facility has changed. I have been a member of this gym since 2018 and I had never not once experienced anything as I did only today. Clearly, management has changed. Plenty of new faces, a constant revolving door.
I can understand any staff in any fitness facility wanting to maintain a clean environment with the plates re-wracked. But the approach was wrong, YOU are wrong. Approach with respect, give people space, be professional.

ASHLEY, or whoever whatever your name focus on other things, there are plenty of equipments in this facility that have been broken for quite some time. Fix that, and replace the dirty attitude with that.

I workout out 5am (when they open) and there are several occasions where no one opens up the gym. I have left several times after 10 mins. It’s extremely unprofessional that the workers are late. I’ve been a member at Blink for several years now - my home gym being Blink Clifton. I can absolutely understand a couple of machines being under maintenance for a while, but almost all of their stairmasters are out of order. Against my better judgement I used open of the TWO available, and it was rattling and shaking like a wooden roller coaster. I’d rather not end up in a Final Destination movie. I graciously approached the manager on Duty regarding the matter, but she seemed more interested in texting her friends . AVOID THIS LOCATION.

When I asked for assistance with a account matter, Adrian gave me a dismissive and condescending response that made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable in the gym. I joined because the price was good, but the gym is loud like a nightclub, with young meathead guys teaming up and monopolizing machines without any consideration of others who may have limited time to work out. People sitting on machines while checking email or writing texts on their phones while you stand there waiting, even having phone conversations on machines after you've asked if they're going to be much longer. Staff doesn't address any of this.
It's a gym, not your home office, FFS.
And please, Blink, spare me the same canned reply you give every bad review—clearly we're having the "true blink experience" if many people are writing the same things. Maybe you need to create a new blink experience that respects people's time and hire staff with the balls to enforce your own rules for the sake of other paying customers. I'll go elsewhere. Willing to pay more to avoid these frustrations and actually get a full workout in the limited time available to me.

I like that the monthly fee is low, and the location is super convenient. Some machines are getting old, defective or worn and need to be refurbished or replaced. Some customers notoriously drop their weights on the ground, especially when deadlifting too much weight for their strength, which can be jarring when you are pushing yourself hard next to those indelicate patrons.
