I have been going there for years. Today, I found out that they are closing the gym this week. November23,2024. I was really upset. It was 1 minute from my home. The employees were told on Monday that Saturdaywas going to be their last day. We were told on Tuesday that November23,2024 they were going to close.

The maintenance of this gym is lacking during the summer. It was not as clean as other Blink gyms I have gone too. I would like to be able to use this gym, shower and head to work but the upkeep is not there. During the summer, it was so hot and muggy in there. We had to ask the front desk to turn up/on the AC. I watched the front desk from the elliptical. The staff was young and just passing time at work; so their need/desire to provide good customer service just wasn’t there.

So disappointed about their customer service. We signed up in April/May and paid the Annual maintenance fee of $60~ in June. We had to cancel in July because of transportation issues, but ultimately decided to recontinue. BLINK wants us to pay the annual maintenance fee A SECOND TIME this year if we wanted to restart the membership (instead of allowing us to recontinue seamlessly since we already paid the maintenance fee this year, Nicholas from their support team took over 2 weeks of no replies/updates basically just ignoring our request to waive the second maintenance fee if we decide to recontinue. Their support staff just do not care. They do not even have a dedicated phone line for issues, you have to rely on slow emails with frankly very unhelpful staff.

I will never go to this gym EVER!!!! My wife decided to get this membership for me for my birthday four months ago. I never even stepped foot into a gym but I was still being charged a monthly fee. I asked to cancel the service and their customer service only exists via email which took over a week for them to respond only to tell me that they are not going to cancel my membership right away for at least another month while my charges accrue and didn't seem to care at all about me not using it. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

No cell phone signs everywhere, yet people are sitting at machines on their phones, people filming (wearing a blink shirt, but unsure if an employee), and even laying on benches talking between sets. Multiple bars an machines with weights not reracked. And dumbells not racked in the correct spots. Stopped going to this location because of these reasons, and thought going off peak would be better. When you sign up make sure to ask about their cancellation policy (I was never made aware of it). I decided to cancel at the end of the month thinking it would be a simple process, turns out the gym will hit you with cancellation fee that runs for an additional 45 days. So basically I cancelled and they charged me with a retroactive fee for the next 45 days even though I won’t be going to this gym anymore. This is the most ridiculous policy (is a SCAM) that I’ve ever seen besides the $50 yearly fee that they also hit you with. Dishonesty seems to be this location true policy. Impossible to recommend.

When I started, I was very happy. It was cheap to sign up, and I liked the way the PT sessions worked. You bought sessions individually and you didn't have to buy more until you used up your sessions. Then they changed it in order to make more money, so now you have to pay per month, and if you gotta cancel or can't make all the appointments you made, you lose that money.

What really made me angry was, I never signed up for the new plan, I never signed their new contract. I had to stop going recently after being rear-ended and got whiplash, so I didn't even think "now I need to stop going as frequently so let me cancel the PT sessions" because I never signed up for the new ones, but lo and behold, not only did they charge me for another month, they charged a different card than what I had originally given them. I called them on the phone and all they did was read off a script
"Sir you signed the contract, there is no refund"
"but I never signed the contract"
"sir I'm gonna need you to calm down"

Went in gym to dispute it with them, they lied to my face and said "Sir we dont have the contract you signed, but you do in your email." After I explained that not a single business wouldn't keep a copy of all signed contracts associated with their business, they finally called the manager, who refused to give me her name, number, or guarantee that I would get my money back. She did, however, threaten to call security.

Finally after talking to my bank about their unauthorized charges, I came in one last time to cancel my membership with them. The same people who lied to my face also filed out the membership cancellation form for me, then had the audacity to ask me why I was leaving.

While the gym is nice and big, I can't recommend any company that illegally takes money from you and constantly tries to make sure I don't get that money back.

P.S. you have to pay a fee to cancel. Unless you've been there for a whole year, which I doubt you will, because neither the staff nor PT I originally signed up with no longer work there after 6 months. Always stay away from business' with high turnover rates.

Update: This business tried to charge me AGAIN a month after I cancelled, so I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they solved everything within a week.

Don't sign up to this gym ! Worst experience of my life ! My phone was dead an I didn't have my tag to sign in so the manager called security on me ! Told me to go home an come back tomorrow with the tag meanwhile I take the bus so it's a huge Hassel. Since I didn't want to have wasted my time , I thought I pay monthly to this gym it shouldn't be a problem . Nope ! Good basic gym. I workout early in the morning so I'm never fighting with others for equipment. My only gripe is TVs attached to the treadmills only show a limited number of channel (mainly CBS, NBC, and Fox, sometimes not even that). They have ESPN on a big screen in the weight area, I don't understand why I can't watch ESPN while on a treadmill. Would give a higher rating if the treadmill TVs had more channels.

HEALTH & SAFETY CONCERNS! a 1 star review is very rare for me and I like the gym and their other locations. BUT last week I saw a member with a small cut who bleed a lot. The staff was attentive a solidly supported him, but they were completely untrained and unequipped with how to deal with BLOOD. There were literally HUNDREDS of droplets of BLOOD on the floor and walls of just the men's lock room. The employee who assisted the member told him "WE DON'T HAVE GLOVES", when explaining why he couldn't further assist with the bandage. I quickly got out of there and called back to discuss with management, but they NEVER RESPONDED. Two days later I sent an email through their corporate system (no phone # available) and received a response stating that someone would call me with 24- 48hrs (kinda long if you ask me), but it's been nearly 72 hours and still NO PHONE CALL from their area management or even the gym level management (which quite frankly would be unacceptable at this point). I went to one of their other locations to work out the other day, as I AM CONCERNED ABOUT MY HEALTH AND SAFETY AT THIS FACILITY. This review is 100% accurate and both the Bergen County and City of Paramus Health Departments have been notified and are following up.

I’ve been coming here for more than 1 year but at the time of cancelling my member because I’m moving our of the State, Steven was very helpful with my options and how to better approach my attendance to the gym until the very last day. I’ve been to many gyms. I’ve gone to 24 hour fitness, LA FITNESS, planet fitness, some low budget family owned gym, crunch fitness. This is by far THE WORST gym I’ve ever been to. First problem, there are no paper towels anywhere. Second problem, it’s so tiny and they’re missing a lot of helpful equipment. Third problem, half the machines are broken. I’m going to try a different location but if I don’t like that either I’m going to cancel and go back to LA fitness

Blink fitness is a great gym to get a good work out. The staff is great, and they clean the gym throughly. They ensure safety protocols, more so than ever due to Covid 19. I attend the gym from 7-9 pm five days a week and every night Timothy and Dev sanitize the entire gym. Sanitizing the entire is hard work, but I NEVER see them complain. When I enter the gym they always greet me with a smile. I also carry a lot of stuff with me and sometimes I am the last person to leave. Timothy and Dev always let me check and make sure I have everything I need before they close up. In short if you are looking for a gym, that low in price and u need a work out go here . Cons: it can be crowded from 5-7 pm during the week. Typically the squats racks and bench are taken, but that is ever gym. I typically plan my squats or benching on days that are not crowded.. Best part of this gym is there healthy mix of young and seniors.gym seem to be well equipped and as i hear some more are expected soon.i have seen broken equipment being fixed right away and some not fixed for more than 2 weeks.front desk is welcoming and pleasant. I have been going to this blink on and off for the past few years. I have family that has gone here as well. I think that they do a good job of trying to keep the gym clean as possible there is always someone that is going around in the time of Covid cleaning the machines and the floors. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful.

They’ve also gotten some new equipment recently so that was exciting. I enjoy going in the afternoon since it’s not that busy. In the evening after 5 o’clock till maybe 730 it seems to be extremely busy and I Don’t feel comfortable coming that time. Also you’re not gonna get any equipment so it doesn’t matter. The parking sometime is an issue when it’s really busy otherwise not really. I think it’s fairly good gym to come to given the price you’re paying as well

I love this gym, but there have been several times where one particular employee walks around the facility without a mask on. Not only does he not wear a mask, he converses with patrons (that I assume he knows personally) in close contact again without a mask. This makes my experience very uncomfortable and i’m sure others feel the same. Other employees see him do this and do not correct it. This is completely unacceptable and I’m sure a violation of company policy as there are several signs emphasizing the importance of properly wearing a mask. Hope this changes soon.

First off....take notice of all the “canned responses” from the owner when people post negative reviews. That is a clue as to how compassionate they are to customer service and client satisfaction.
I was ok with paying for the months I fell behind due to covid, but it’s the additional fees that seemed unfair to me...especially at a time when many people, including myself, have been out of work. With out any hesistation they just told me they would not be waiving any fees. I ended up paying a balance I couldn’t afford.

Back on March when COVID first arrived Blink closed. I could not get in touch with them until a week ago when the collection calls started. I went today and were charged $145 dollars for cancellation and unpaid dues. I had to do it in person. I was told they reopened in September today is November 24 So, they charged me 2 months and the maintenance fee (year) what a rip-off . I was thinking of staying but with only 58 people allowed at a time and COVID out of control it is not worth it. They did not offer any incentive for me to reconsider but were quick to take my money. They use e-mail as a reason to justify the charges...but we sent e-mails to everybody...did you check your spam. No lady is called spam for a reason. If you wanted me back you could have called me back like your collection department did. I hope you go bankrupt .

They enforce a strict cancellation policy despite the circumstances regarding Covid. I asked them if they could waive the “maintenance fee” and i’ll still pay the missed months.They refused and on top of that I have to provide 45 days notice so they get me for an extra month.
Because of Covid my profession was unable to work for over 90 days, and even though i’m back, i’m only making 1/3 of my previous salary.

Decent gym for the price. Doesn't have all the amenities that larger gyms have, but they do have multiple squat racks, and one really nice eleiko Olympic bar. I've had a membership at this place for a couple years. It's a decent place, but for its size it can be impossible to utilize certain equipment during peak hours. I ended up going to extremes and either working out at 5am, or going as late as 10pm. The whole "everyone cleans their equipment" policy is BS. I got warts from the dumbells once, so clean your stuff before and after use (reason #103 why I'm a germaphobe now). The staff are friendly and the trainers are great, but I get the vibe that management can be rough around the edges. I saw some low morale and poor demanors from some regularly great employees at times. Staff deserves more recognition and compensation. However, you pay cheap so you get cheap. Cancelled my membership to sign up for a bigger facility with a full-time maintenance/cleaning staff.

The Blink fitness is the third class cancellation policy ever. If some one is joining for a month how they can notify for cancellation before 45 days. There should not be any terms and condition like this. most of the people in this review are talking about third class cancellation policy only. Management also not responding on this. If I want to cancel at end of the month I shouldn't be paying for another 45 days. This type of policy is just to take money from the people unnecessary. I won't give a single star or rating to this management

Very clean, the trainers are very friendly. The managers are a little edgy. Locker rooms offer showers and restrooms, NO sauna. The free mat area is a little small. Wipes are placed all throughout the gym so you can clean the equipment when you're done. Bathrooms, locker room, etc are very clean. Hours are 5a-11p.

I went with hubby on a Friday evening around 6- surprisingly it wasn't crowded. The layout of the gym allows guest to move around freely and use all machines in a timely manner. There is also a few areas where you can workout individually if you do not desire to use there machines and prefer to use free weights.

It is financial trap. Do not buy membership. It is cheapest but if you decide to leave you will have hard time and should go to certain steps to stop membership. They even report you to credit bureau for not paying monthly fee as if it was credit card. If i am not paying just stop my membership why are you reporting to credit bureau.

Super sick guys... Used to work at this mall center, so I signed up due to being convenient for working out once my shifts would end. Went to the gym for almost two years. It was finally time to cancel due to not being able to go 4-5 days a week, and I canceled my membership about two months ago (Nov 2018). I was told that you do not have to pay any cancellation fee once you complete one year at being a gym member. Yet, I was told in order to cancel I had to pay $24.77. I asked for a receipt just in case this gym would try to pull a fast one on me. Fast forward two months later, and they charge me for a monthly membership fee.. Even though I had not stepped foot at this location since November. Welp, time to go to this location yet again.

I came here with my friend who has a membership after school & the time we went at night was never packed. Never had to wait for anything only con is the gym isn't that big. Has everything you need though.

I went to cancel my membership and I was assisted by the rudest employee ever at the front desk. I was starting to get very annoyed with their attitude. Glad I canceled. Employees should treat their customers with respect.
