This location is colossal as it occupies 3 spaces. There are also machines here that you will not find at any other Blink locations.

My only issues were that there are not enough Wipe Stations and the parking situation is a bit of mess but the latter issue comes with the location. I will be back for sure.

I’m writing to express my dissatisfaction with the front desk staff at Blank Fitness. They seem completely unprofessional and lack knowledge about promotions and the gym’s offerings.

I had signed up for the Trainer program and canceled the same day. Before moving to New Jersey, I used to frequent 24 Hour Fitness, and I wasn’t familiar with Blank Fitness. I asked the front desk staff about the differences between the two gyms and why I should stay and pay for a monthly membership. However, they responded dismissively, telling me to go to the screen or refer to the website.

This kind of attitude is not what you want to encounter at a gym. You want to be greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. The entire front desk team, including management, should be reviewed to ensure that they provide better customer service and have a better understanding of the gym’s offerings.

Large facility with lots of equipment. Definitely feels unsafe at times with thuggish clientele. Got physically threatened for moving personal items off of equipment so that I could use it. Complaints to management met with lackluster response. I would avoid this location unless you love drama or carry pepper spray at all times.

I can’t say enough great things about Blink Fitness in East Orange, NJ! From the moment I walked in, the experience has been nothing short of amazing.

I signed up a month ago with Shakur, who gave me an outstanding tour of the gym. He answered all my questions clearly and concisely, making me feel confident and excited to join. The very next day, I had a FREE personal training session with Shan, and WOW—he completely changed my perspective on my own strength and agility! Not only did he guide me through each exercise, but he also demonstrated them while thoroughly explaining proper form and technique.

What really stood out was Shan’s generosity and dedication—our session was supposed to be 30 minutes, but he went the extra mile and trained me for 45 minutes! That level of commitment made it an easy decision for me to sign up for 16 training sessions with him. Fast forward, I’ve completed all 16, seen incredible improvements, and immediately signed up for another 16! Shan is the definition of leading by example—he doesn’t just instruct, he proves the process works!

Beyond training, the overall atmosphere at Blink Fitness East Orange is welcoming, clean, and motivating, thanks to the amazing Jocelyn. She greets everyone with a warm smile and brings top-tier leadership to the gym, making every visit a positive experience.

The trainers are rude and unprofessional, specifically the female trainer I had , yelled at the front desk girl to restart my canceled membership so she could sign me up for training. I specifically said i just wanted my startup session..well apparently these trainers feel like they’re above startup sessions. Another time, the tall male trainer Daniel, literally talked about himself for 30 minutes and never actually trained me.

This gym has no privacy and really needs to invest in some blinds. It’s on street level so you have random people staring at you through the window while you workout. The staff talks to you any kind of way &literally won’t let you in if you forget your phone/phone is dead. If I am PAYING for a membership, you can look up my account like any other gym. Staff always leaves the desk to socialize while customers are waiting. They charge a $70 maintenance fee but never bought new machines/renovations. Another day they locked all the bathrooms & said customers just couldn’t use it.

The Club Manager Dayshawn (my apologies if I misspelled your name sir) was extremely helpful, courteous, and ultimately found the solution to my membership issue. Most importantly, he had the most pleasant tone and doubled down to solve the problem rather than passing me off.

Very disappointed in this location, I recently went to this gym with a guest and was denied access because he was wearing closed off Yeezys with socks. I was told by Jocelyn that he needed to wear sneakers to enter the gym floor. I still wanted to honor her request by letting her know my guest was not going to workout. As she was speaking a man walked in with sandals and socks and when I questioned why she did not ask him the same question, she stated she knew him. She showed me the set of rules posted on the wall stating workout attire should be worn. The rule does not specifically stated sneakers. I would like blink to really educate their workers on what workout attires entails. There are many workouts that do not allow sneakers for example Pilates, yoga and the list goes on and the person who was actually going to workout was wearing sneakers. The worst part about this was we had to go to a different location that was inconvenient for us just to be allowed in without anyone ever questioned anything about our attire! If this is a blink fitness rule it should be apply to every location. I believe this was Jocelyn opinion which I’ve stated to her and those whom she called to assist me even though I did not request to be speaking to anybody else. Jocelyn as a manager you should be able to handle your job not send it to the next person because you are unqualified for the position! I have reported this incident to blink fitness. Jocelyn should focus on her job instead of flirting with a police officer at the desk. If you wanted to show off authority to your little cop friend you could have done it elsewhere instead of harassing customers.

One of the trainers-had locked hair and where’s a full ski mask is BEYOND RUDE EVERY TIME we cross paths. He hogs gym equipment, turns the music up EXTREMELY loud even when there’s no class in the shared room making it hard for ppl working out together to hear one another. He was also rude to the manger when she asked him to turn it down a bit.

Whew I’ll stop here but if it wasn’t for the location and super nice manger I’d NEVER RECOMMEND this location to anyone!!!

This blink is terrible, they sent me into collections after I paid to cancel my services from the same card they were collecting my monthly automatic payments from never was later card was always on file with funds to cover all automatic payments. And more i didn’t like the gym and staff so i declined services now months later after I came in personally paid the amount the manager said that it was now I’m illegally in collections like I owed a significant amount of gym dues this location & the staff is horrible they hangs up the phone on you when asking any information pertaining to your account

The first time at this location and the greeting i received from Nazira and Tyrel was very warm. Nazira was funny and very personable didnt make me feel uncomfortable. I learned Tyrel is a great personal trainer here, and he gave great tips as well. Both were warm and motivational. The gym has plenty of room and extra machines no waiting necessary. If you need assistance w. Anything im sure you can go ask away. Beverages available up front, toiletries offered in restroom. Bathrooms stocked and cleaned. Great music!!! the temperature in the place was good, not too cold, and not too humid. I will definitely be returning and sharing this location with friends.

Well I’ve always been skeptical about joining the gym and all but 2 weeks ago I and my sister went for a walk in the park and upon passing the gym she said let’s go to the gym instead lol and we did the staff we’re friendly and amazing she explained thoroughly to us and we did the trial and like it we had PT who assisted us his name is Shane and he is was happy to educate us on the right work out packages that would work for us and he’s super amazing
Very patient and attentive I must say I give a lot of trouble but he doesn’t mind because I still have to do what he says……and it’s working I’m not dieting now but I’m down 3 lbs and my sister 1 but it’s about getting fit for me and Shane is helping me just right the entire staff is amazing you’ll love it there

I was visiting the southern Florida area during July 1 thru the 26th. The staff at the Miramir location exceeds expectations. They could provide customer service training to other facilities that don't have their charm and finesse. I not only had a great time working out at the facility but it was consistently clean throughout the entire day and I visited a varying windows of time. I wish I'd gotten the names of the staff members but I didn't. They were all great and even gave me a few suggestions on things to do while visiting. I appreciate their kindness and service as I was in Florida caregiving my elderly mother who has dementia. The staff made a difficult time much better for me as my family and I work thru a difficult moment of life. Cheers to the staff and I look forward to visiting and using the facility on my next visit to Miramar, FL.

I join blink 3 years ago, recently had a stroke, I was paired with CPT (Page). Since Day 1 my health improved, First I was shown healthier eating habits, which I took back to my family ,over the years I went down 2 dress sizes, my endurance level has come up, I run and play with my grandkids instead of sitting and watching! Blink Fitness in East Orange NJ , saved my Life! I'm truly grateful, @52 I feel 30! Pleasant smile soon as you enter the building , the staff listen, spacious, calm atmosphere, May I add Blink was not my first choice, Now it's the only choice to friends and Family, if your older and looking to take your health serious try Blink, My Doctor Said "Garner if I didn't know you had a stroke, I would look at you and say you look like you never been sick a day in your life" From 300 lbs, down to 182 lbs and counting I GOT MY LIFE BACK!!! Staff has no clue what they are doing. Untrained and unhelpful. (Update) Staff refused my entry today for the second time this month. First time due to my bill being past due about 4 or 5 days after it was due (although they informed me I would still be charged for the month) and today because I was unable to show my key which is on my device (phone) which was dead. The experience was moderate. The front desk staff was friendly to customers. I was offered a guided tour and some machine demonstrations. Tour guide was very knowlegable. Front desk area needs to be extended for such a high traffic area or more than just one scan in monitor. Other members were getting impatient by my signing up while they had to wait to be scanned in. They were instructed to download the app which I discovered took less time than they were standing there. My first impression of the place is this place needs frequent cleaning. I probably wont join. Im a germophobe..ever door handle illicits panic and there were easily hundreds of fingerprings smuged all over the glass doors. Health is more than just working out. Having a clean space to doing so should not be an option. Especially in a pandemic. In a gym everyone who works there cleans. There is nothing more reassuring than knowing that everyone volunteers to ensure members health is priory.
Having a good staff is often overlooked when it comes to a gym. On this day the staff weighed heavily on my decision to become a member.

Went there to join the gym at 6:44pm today. I was excited to do so because I switched jobs… my schedule before did not permit gym time. But that smile quickly turned into disappointment, as the representative, who was closing her register, asked me to come back the next day or sign up online, because “…it will take 15 minutes to sign…” me up, which simply meant that she wished not to bother with a potential customer. A few weeks ago my best friend and I went to Blink Fitness in East Orange to possibly join. First of all there were 4 people at the front desk not paying us any attention. The tall guy with no personality finally asked if he can help us. He was no help. He read the membership offers to us and that was it. He didn't even ask to take us on a tour of the gym. We was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I was so disappointed because I was prepared to join. Needless to say my friend and I joined Planet Fitness with 3 other friends. So Blink lost 5 potential memberships. Blink, brush up on your customer service skills they suck.

I have been trying to cancel my plan since I moved out of state and they refused to knowing that there isn’t any blink fitness center in Des Plaines IL.
